Safety Notes
- DO NOT open this product. It contains no user-serviceable parts.
- DO NOT look at the light source when the product is on.
- To prevent unnecessary wear and prolong lifespan, disconnect the product from power during periods of non-use (via breaker or unplugging).
- CAUTION: When transferring the product between extreme temperature environments (e.g., from a cold truck to a warm, humid ballroom), condensation may form on internal electronics. To avoid failure, allow the product to fully acclimate to the surrounding environment before connecting to power.
- CAUTION: This product's housing may be hot when lights are operating.
- Mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 inches (50 cm) from adjacent surfaces.
- DO NOT place flammable material within 50 cm of this product while operating or connected to power.
- USE a safety cable when mounting this product overhead.
- DO NOT operate this product outdoors or in any location where dust, excessive heat, water, or humidity may affect it.
- DO NOT operate this product if the housing, lenses, or cables appear damaged.
- DO NOT connect this product to a dimmer or rheostat.
- ONLY connect this product to a grounded and protected circuit.
- ONLY use the hanging bracket to carry this product.
- In case of a serious operating problem, stop using immediately.
- The maximum ambient temperature is 113 °F (45 °C). Do not operate this product at higher temperatures.

AC Power
This product features an auto-ranging power supply compatible with input voltage ranges of 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Power Linking
Up to 4 OVATION F-165WW products can be linked at 120 VAC, or 7 products at 230 VAC. Do not exceed this number. Power linking cords are sold separately.

Replacing the Fuse
- Disconnect the product from power.
- Using a Phillips #2 head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder cap from the housing.
- Remove the blown fuse and replace it with a good fuse of the same type and rating.
- Screw the fuse holder cap back in place and reconnect power.
DMX Linking
The OVATION F-165WW works with a DMX controller via a standard DMX serial connection. A DMX Primer is available at www.chauvetprofessional.com.
DMX Connection
The OVATION F-165WW supports DMX data connections for its DMX personalities: UNO, DOS, and STD.P. Refer to the User Manual for connection and configuration details.
Master Control
The OVATION F-165WW can control other OVATION F-165WW products using a standard DMX data connection. Consult the User Manual for Master Control configuration.
Master/Slave Connection
The OVATION F-165WW uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode. Refer to the User Manual for connection and configuration.
Mounting
Product Diagram
The product diagram illustrates the OVATION F-165WW fixture. It shows the mounting yoke and points for attaching a safety cable. The safety cable should be secured using the passageway on the side of the product.
Overhead Mounting
When mounting overhead, ensure the safety cable is securely attached to the designated point on the fixture.

Description
Button/Knob | Function |
---|---|
<MENU> | Exits the current menu or function. |
<ENTER> | Enables the currently displayed menu or sets the currently selected value into the selected function. |
<UP> | Navigates upwards through the menu list and increases the numeric value when in a function. |
<DOWN> | Navigates downwards through the menu list and decreases the numeric value when in a function. |
<DIM> | Press twice rapidly to access the dimmer function. Use the knob to adjust dimmer intensity. |
<ZOOM> | Press twice rapidly to access the zoom function. Use the knob to adjust the zoom. |
Passcode
When prompted, enter the following password: <UP>, <DOWN>, <UP>, <DOWN>, <ENTER>. This password cannot be changed and must be used whenever prompted.
