BroadLink e-Touch Smart Wall Light Switch TC2
User Manual
Introduction
The BroadLink TC2 smart wall light switch offers functionality similar to common wall switches. For installation, it is crucial to disconnect electricity before proceeding. Connect wires according to the physical markings on the TC2 and ensure wires are tidy to prevent short circuits caused by contact between them. Avoid short-circuiting the load or connecting the live wire and neutral wire to the same wiring terminal to prevent electrical hazards.
Notes:
- To ensure optimal control distance, maintain a separation of more than 1 meter between two smart wall switches.
- For remote control functionality, the TC2 switch must be used in conjunction with a BroadLink RM pro device.
Specifications
Region/Standard | Power Supply | Wattage | Note |
---|---|---|---|

EU | 170-240V | 7-200W/gang | Power load should be less than 100W/gang if used for LED or energy saving lights. |
UK | 170-240V | 5-200W/gang | Power load should be less than 100W/gang if used for LED or energy saving lights. |
App Download and Setup
To control your BroadLink TC2 switch, you will need the BroadLink e-Control app.
Donwload APP
Method 1: Scan the QR code found on the packing box or within this user manual to download the e-Control app.
Method 2: Visit the official BroadLink website at https://www.ibroadlink.com using your mobile browser. Navigate to the 'Download APP' section on the page.
Step 1: Configuration
Once the e-Control app is installed, open it and proceed to the configuration page.
The app interface typically includes options such as:
- Control Panel
- +Add remote
- +Add scene
- Device List
- Rooms (e.g., Living room)
To add your TC2 switch, you will search for cloud remote templates. Select the appropriate template, such as 'TC2', from the available list (which may include Aircon, Audio, Set Top Box, TV, TC1, User-Defined, Gesture).
Wiring Installation
Follow these steps for wiring the TC2 smart wall light switch.
Step 1: Remove the panel
Use a screwdriver to carefully detach the front panel of the existing switch. The process is illustrated for US, EU, and UK switch designs.
Step 2: Connect the wires
Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the TC2 switch:
- Connect the live wire to the 'L' terminal.
- Connect the neutral wire of the light fixture to the light terminal (e.g., 'L2', 'L3').
The diagrams show these connections for US, EU, and UK installations, highlighting the 'L' terminal for the live wire.
Use single-strand or multi-strand copper wire with a diameter of approximately 4mm for connections.
Step 3: Install switch on the wall
Place the TC2 switch into the wall mounting box. Secure it by screwing both sides. Finally, reattach the front panel. The process is shown for US, EU, and UK installations.
Parallel Protector Installation
If you observe the connected light gleaming or blinking, it is recommended to install a parallel protector.
Installation: Connect the parallel protector capacitor between the live wiring terminal and the neutral wiring terminal, as depicted in the diagram.
The diagram shows a light socket with terminals labeled 'N' for Neutral Wire and 'L' for Live Wire. A component labeled 'Protector' is depicted connected between these two terminals.
Note on Overload:
Avoid overloading the switch. If an overload condition occurs, the connected lights will automatically turn off. They should resume normal operation after approximately 5 minutes. In such cases, verify the load power and consider replacing the light fixture with one that has an appropriate power rating.
TC2 Remote Code Learning and Cleanup
The TC2 switch supports remote code learning and cleanup for managing connected devices.
TC2 Remote Code Learning Setting
To enter code learning mode, press and hold any button on the TC2 switch for approximately 5 seconds. The indicator lights on all buttons will blink rapidly, and the connected lights will also turn on.
TC2 Remote Code Cleanup Setting
To enter code cleanup mode, press and hold any button on the TC2 switch for more than 10 seconds. The indicator lights on all buttons will illuminate, and the connected lights will also turn on. To clear all learned codes, simply tap any button on the TC2 control panel.
TC2 Control Panel Functions
After successful configuration, the TC2 control panel within the e-Control app allows you to manage your lights. Functions available typically include:
- On/Off: Control individual lights.
- All ON / All OFF: Activate or deactivate all connected lights simultaneously.
- Timer: Set schedules for lights.
- Device info: View details about the connected switch.
- Create shortcut: Set up quick access to specific functions.
This panel enables local and remote control of your smart lighting setup.
