Getting Started and Operation
Connecting the FM Transmitter: Connect the FM transmitter to your car's cigarette lighter socket. Then, pair the transmitter with your mobile phone via Bluetooth as described below.
Alternative Method: You can also play music directly from a USB stick or memory card.
Tip: For some car types, the ignition must be switched on for the cigarette lighter to be powered. Refer to your car's manual for more information.
Tip: After use, unplug the transmitter from the socket and disconnect all cables from the devices.
Bluetooth Connection Setup
Pairing:
- Ensure the device you intend to use with the transmitter (MP3 player, smartphone, etc.) supports Bluetooth connectivity. If not, the only option is to play music from a USB stick or memory card.
- The maximum Bluetooth range is 10 meters in open space without obstacles (walls, people, etc.).
- Ensure the device you want to pair with the FM transmitter is turned on and its Bluetooth adapter is active.
- Plug the FM transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket closest to the car radio.
- The distance between the FM transmitter and the other device should be less than the 10-meter Bluetooth range.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and wait for the discoverable device list to appear. Look for the device named 'BT21H'.
- Select the 'BT21H' device from the list and wait for the Bluetooth connection to be established. The active radio frequency will then be displayed on the FM transmitter's screen.
Tip - Bluetooth Password: If the transmitting device requests a password for connection, use '0000'.
Tip - Connection Failed: If the FM transmitter has been previously paired with another device, the connection should be established automatically. If the Bluetooth connection does not establish automatically, check the following:
- Check the settings on your device to see if the connection with 'BT21H' has been established. If not, pair the FM transmitter again following the steps above.
- Ensure the distance between the devices is not more than 10 meters. If it is, bring the devices closer together.
- Check if any obstacles are hindering the connection. If so, move the devices closer together.
Music Playback (via Bluetooth)
Music playback control is primarily done through the connected device. However, you can also use the FM transmitter for control if the other device supports Bluetooth AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
- Press the button to start or pause music playback.
- Press the button to skip to the next track.
- Press the button to go back to the previous track.
Music Playback (from USB stick / microSD card)
- Connect a USB stick to the FM transmitter's USB port (2). Playback will start automatically.
- Insert a microSD card into the FM transmitter's card reader (6). Playback will start automatically.
Tip: The capacity of the connected USB stick or memory card can be up to 32 GB. The FM transmitter only supports the MP3 format.
Manual Station Search
- Find an available frequency band on your radio that is not used by any radio stations.
- Set the same frequency on the FM transmitter by pressing and holding the button (5) for 2 seconds until the frequency display (3) starts flashing.
- Use the and buttons to set the desired frequency.
- The FM transmitter will always use the last set frequency.
Tip - Automatic Standby: If there is no music playback or button press for 50-60 seconds, the FM transmitter will automatically switch to standby mode. Playback will resume or the device will turn on again when music playback restarts or a button is pressed.
Charging Function
The FM transmitter is equipped with a USB charging port. During charging, the device provides energy according to the technical parameters detailed in section 7.
Tip - Car Battery: In some car types, the cigarette lighter can be used even when the ignition is off. Always unplug the FM transmitter from the cigarette lighter when not in use to prevent accidental draining of the car battery.
Tip - Charging Another Device:
- Before connecting another device to the FM transmitter, check if the transmitter's power output is sufficient to charge the device.
- Ensure the combined current draw of connected devices does not exceed 3000 mA.
- Read the user manual of the other device before starting to charge.
- After charging is complete, unplug the cable(s) from the charger and the other device.
Tip - Power Delivery / QC 3.0, 2.0:
- Plug & go: Manual setup is not required; simply connect the other device to initiate charging. The voltage and current values are automatically configured according to Power Delivery / QC 3.0, 2.0 standards.
- For efficient and optimal charging, the connected device should also support one of the Power Delivery / QC 3.0, 2.0 standards.
- Due to the large number of PD/QC-enabled devices and different firmware versions, fast charging may not be fully supported or supported at all on some models.
Hands-free Function
- Thanks to the built-in microphone, the FM transmitter can also be used as a hands-free device.
- When a call is received, the transmitter will automatically switch from music playback to hands-free mode. You can accept the call by pressing the button.
- Press the button again to end the call.
- Pressing the button twice will redial the last dialed number.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Use a slightly damp, microfiber cloth to clean the device. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the FM transmitter.
