READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR LITTLE GREEN

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance must be connected to a grounded wiring system. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a safe path of least resistance for electrical current, reducing the risk of electric shock. The cord for this appliance has a conductor, including an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. This appliance is intended for household use only.

Using a spray cleaner can result in serious electric shock, especially if the spray cleaner is not of a higher gauge than the product OR if the spray cleaner is not equipped with a three-prong plug or plugged into a GFCI outlet. This hazard cannot be eliminated by taking safety precautions, even by keeping all connections away from the ground and in a dry condition.

WARNING: Do not use this product while standing on a ladder, or on any other unstable surface. Do not place this product in a location where it can be stepped on or kicked by someone while it is operating. Do not place this product on an elevated surface where it can be pushed off the surface while it is operating.

WARNING: Use only BISSELL 2X Ultra Concentrated Formulas with your appliance. Using cleaning formulas containing lemon or pine oil can damage this appliance and void the warranty. Also, do not use a solvent-based cleaner or a liquid rug/upholstery cleaner. These products contain the plastic which can react with the plastic parts used in your appliance, causing cracking or marking.

Assembly

Assembling your Little Green PROheat is a simple process. The only tool required to assemble your cleaning appliance is a Phillips head screwdriver.

  1. Take the hose hook and slide the rear plate into the opening on the front of the unit. You will hear a click when the plate is properly seated.
  2. Take the hose storage hook and slide the bottom plate into the opening on the rear of the unit. Ensure the screw holes are aligned.
  3. Insert the screw and tighten with a screwdriver.
  4. Wrap the flexible hose around the unit and place the hose connector into its holder. Turn the holder latch clockwise to lock it.
  5. If your model includes a TurboBrush attachment, insert the attachment hook into the slot on the hose storage hook and place the attachment onto the hook.

Usage

Preparation

  1. To fill the clean water/solution tank:
    A. Remove the tank by pulling it straight up and away from the unit.
    B. Unscrew the black cap located at the bottom of the clean water/solution tank.
    C. Add BISSELL 2X Little Green cleaning formula until the fill line for CLEAN WATER/SOLUTION TANK is reached. Fill the clean water/solution tank with hot (not boiling) tap water to the fill line for WATER. Replace and tighten the black cap.
    D. Replace the clean water/solution tank by aligning the vertical lines on the left side of the unit with the grooves in the clean water/solution tank and slowly sliding it into place.
  2. Release the flexible vacuum hose by turning the holder latch clockwise. Fully unwind the flexible vacuum hose.
  3. Attach the cleaning tool of your choice to the spray trigger assembly by pushing the tool onto the spray trigger until the button latch snaps into its socket. Ensure the tool is securely in place.
  4. Turn the Quick Release cord wrap clockwise to fully unwind the power cord from its integrated housing and plug the cord into a grounded 120-volt, 60 Hz outlet as shown in the "Important Safety Instructions" section on page 3.
  5. Turn the power switch to the ON position. If your model includes a heater switch, turn the red heater switch to the ON position. In 30 seconds or less, the heater indicator light will illuminate to signal that the heater has reached the proper temperature. Begin by pressing the spray trigger for 5-10 seconds to allow unheated water to circulate through the heater.
  6. Press and hold the spray trigger: spraying will begin a few seconds later. Lift the tool slightly to check for spray.

Pre-treatment

Cleaning effectiveness will be increased if you pre-treat heavily soiled or stained areas. Here's how:

  1. Hold the cleaning tool approximately 1 inch above the soiled surface. Press the spray trigger to spray a stream of cleaning solution onto the soiled surface.
  2. Wait 3 to 5 minutes before proceeding to clean.

CAUTION: Remember to unplug the cord before attaching the TurboBrush attachment (certain models).

Usage (continued)

Cleaning with your Little Green PROheat

  1. Hold the tool about 1 inch above the soiled surface. Press the spray trigger to spray the cleaning solution onto the soiled surface.
  2. Using the brush on the tool, gently brush the surface to be cleaned. NOTE: If using the TurboBrush attachment, the switch should be in the BRUSH position. This will activate the brush only.
  3. For a more thorough cleaning, spray additional solution while the brush and suction tool are in contact with the surface being cleaned.
  4. Apply downward pressure on the tool and pull it toward you. The suction will remove the dirt and cleaning solution. Continue until no more dirt is visible. NOTE: If using the TurboBrush attachment, turn the switch to the SUCTION position. This will activate the suction to remove dirt and cleaning solution. Turn the switch back to the BRUSH position to use the brush action again.
  5. For "drying strokes" (without pressing the spray trigger), remove as much liquid and moisture as possible. Repeat this step as needed. NOTE: If using the TurboBrush attachment, turn the switch to the SUCTION position. This will activate the suction to remove dirt and cleaning solution.

IMPORTANT: Check the furniture manufacturer's tag before cleaning upholstery. The tag code "W" or "WS" means you can use your Little Green. If the tag has a code "S" (with a diagonal line through the code) or the words "Dry Cleaning Only," do not proceed with cleaning. If the furniture manufacturer's tag is missing or does not have a code, consult your furniture dealer.

Tip: Regularly deep cleaning stairs and high-traffic areas will extend the life of your carpets.

Tip: Check upholstery material before cleaning. Colors may transfer to fabric when wet.

Appliance Care and Maintenance

After Cleaning

  1. Turn the power switch to the OFF position.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the outlet. NOTE: If there is a significant amount of Little Green formula and water remaining, you may leave it in the clean water/solution tank for your next cleaning task.
  3. Empty and rinse the dirt/water tank after each use or when the dirty water reaches the fill line. To remove the tank, lift the dirt/water tank latch and pull the tank away from the unit.
  4. Disconnect the cleaning tool from the spray trigger assembly by pressing the button latch and pulling straight out on the tool to disengage it (DO NOT PULL THE TOOL BY TWISTING IT).
  5. Once disconnected from the spray trigger assembly, any attachment may be cleaned by rinsing it in running water. The TurboBrush attachment switch must be in the SUCTION position before the brush can be rinsed in running water.
  6. Check the spray nozzle for any debris or obstructions. If necessary, clean with a soft bristle brush.

Storing the Appliance

  1. Clean all surfaces with a soft cloth.
  2. Wrap the power cord around the cord wrap located at the rear of the Little Green.
  3. Wrap the flexible hose around the base of the unit and lock the spray trigger.
  4. Store the unit in a protected, dry area at a room temperature between 4°C and 43°C (40°F and 110°F).

Tip: Before turning off the Little Green, run it with clean water to rinse the inside of the hose. Then lift the cleaning tool and point it upwards to allow any remaining water to flow into the dirt/water tank.

CAUTION: Keep the sprayer away from the face of any person. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
