How to Play

The game involves two teams, each with 1 to 4 players. The objective is to throw your bocce balls as close as possible to the pallino (jack).

Team Formation: Form two teams with an equal number of players (1-4 per team).
Game Area: Set up a court (max 4 x 27.5 m / 13 x 90 ft) or use an open space. A foul line should be established.
Starting the Game: Determine the starting team, usually by coin toss. The starting team throws the pallino first.
Throwing: Players throw bocce balls aiming to get them close to the pallino. Balls can be thrown underhand, overhand, or bowled. Teams can strategically hit the jack or other balls.
Scoring: After all balls are thrown, points are awarded for balls closest to the pallino. Typically, 1 point for the four closest balls, and 2 points for balls touching or “kissing” the jack.
Winning: The first team to reach a predetermined score (e.g., 12, 15, or 21 points) wins the game.
