- Ensure no obstacles prevent air from entering and exiting the indoor and outdoor units.
- Turn on the power supply.
- Insert batteries into the remote control.
Installation Procedure
Convenient Installation
- Do not place any obstacles in front of the indoor unit that could obstruct ventilation and hinder operation.
- Do not install the appliance in locations that present: A risk of flammable gas leaks. Oil splashes.
- When the unit is used in a spa where sulfurous gases occur, corrosion may lead to malfunction. Consult your dealer.
- The air conditioner and remote control should be located 1 meter or more from a television or radio set.
- Drain water obtained from dehumidification of the indoor unit in the most convenient location.
Attention to Noise
- When installing the unit, choose a location that supports its weight and does not increase operating noise or vibration. If the building experiences vibrations, install anti-vibration materials between the unit and accessories.
- Choose a location where the cold or warm air and the operating noise of the indoor and outdoor units do not disturb the neighbors.
- Do not leave objects lying around near the inlet and outlet of the outdoor unit; this can cause malfunction or noise.
- Consult your dealer/distributor if you hear suspicious noises.
Inspection and Maintenance
Depending on the unit's usage environment, the interior of the air conditioner may become dirty after several years of operation, reducing its performance. We recommend inspecting and maintaining the unit in addition to its normal cleaning. (This can help extend the air conditioner's lifespan.)
- For inspection and maintenance, consult your dealer or another authorized company. (Service fees apply in this case.)
- We recommend having inspection and maintenance performed during the off-season.
- If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced only by a manufacturer-approved agent using specialized tools.
What to Do Before Calling the Installer/After-Sales Service

The air conditioner does not operate at all.
- Is the electrical plug properly inserted into the outlet?
- Is the TIMER set to ON?
- Is the power cut off, or has a fuse blown?
If the air conditioner does not operate normally even after checking the points on the left, or if doubts/problems persist even after consulting page 28, or if phenomena appear as shown on page 29, unplug the appliance and contact your dealer/installer.
Cooling or Heating Capacity is Reduced.
- Is the displayed set ambient temperature adequate?
- Are the air filters clean (not clogged)?
- Are the windows and doors open or closed?
Cooling Capacity is Reduced.
- Does direct sunlight enter the room?
- Is there an unusual heat source in the room?
- Are there too many people in the room?
About
Air Flow
- No air output in HEATING mode: RUN indicator flashes slowly (1.5 sec ON, 0.5 sec OFF). The airflow is stopped to prevent cold air from exiting until the indoor heat exchanger warms up (2-5 min) (HOT KEEP function).
- No air output for 5 to 15 minutes or blown air is not warm while the unit is in HEATING mode: RUN indicator flashes slowly (1.5 sec ON, 0.5 sec OFF). When the outdoor temperature is low and humidity is high, the unit may automatically enter defrost mode. Please wait. During defrosting, water or steam may exit the outdoor unit. The indoor fan may stop intermittently to prevent re-evaporation and save energy.
- No air output in DRY mode: (RUN indicator illuminates).
Noise
- Noise like running water is heard: Caused by refrigerant circulating inside the unit.
- Cracking noise is heard: Caused by expansion due to heat or contraction of plastics.
- Hissing or clicking noise is heard: Due to the operation of refrigerant control valves or electrical components.
- Outdoor unit emits a hissing sound: This indicates that the compressor rotation speed is increasing or decreasing.
- Intermittent short humming sound is heard when the unit is turned off: This is the sound heard when another indoor unit is stopped.
Others
- Unit does not restart immediately after being turned off: (RUN indicator illuminates). To protect the unit, it cannot be restarted for 3 minutes after shutdown. Please wait 3 minutes. This 3-minute protection delay is built into the microcomputer.
- Thick vapor is emitted during COOL operation. This emits an odor.: This sometimes occurs when room temperature and humidity are very high; it disappears as temperature and humidity decrease. The air exiting during unit operation may emit an odor. This is the smell of tobacco or cosmetics deposited on the unit.
- After a power outage, the unit does not restart even if power is restored.: If the automatic restart function is not selected, the unit will not restart automatically. Use the remote control to restart.
- Remote control signals are not received.: Remote control signals may not be received if the unit's display section is exposed directly to sunlight or other strong light. In this case, reduce the light source.
- Condensation forms on the air outlet grilles.: If the unit has been in operation for a long time in high humidity, condensation forms on the air outlet grilles and water droplets fall.
- The fan does not stop immediately after the unit stops operating.: Indoor fan: The fan continues to run for 2 hours in SELF CLEAN mode. Outdoor fan: The fan continues to run for approximately 1 minute to protect the unit.
- The RUN indicator remains illuminated after the air conditioner stops.: The RUN indicator illuminates during SELF CLEAN operation. The RUN indicator turns off when SELF CLEAN operation is complete.
Contact Your Dealer
Unplug the appliance immediately and call your distributor in the following cases:
- The fuse or circuit breaker trips frequently. The electrical wire is extremely hot. The wire insulation is deteriorated.
- The fuse trips frequently.
- Malfunction of the TV, radio, or other appliances is noticed.
- If foreign objects enter the indoor unit through the air vents and the drainage cannot function, call your dealer.
- The RUN and TIMER indicators on the unit flash rapidly (0.5s on; 0.5s off) and do not function.
When anomalies occur, immediately cut off the power supply and turn it back on after 3 minutes. Repeat the procedure by pressing the remote control's ON/OFF button; the anomaly does not disappear.
PRUDENCE
If the power cord is damaged, have it installed by your dealer or a qualified engineer to prevent accidents.
Multiple Air Conditioners
Simultaneous Operation
- Air conditioners cannot operate in different modes simultaneously, such as one unit in "cool" mode and another in "heat" mode.
- When different modes are selected, the air conditioner that started first takes priority, so the second unit started operates in fan mode.
- If you want the unit started later to have priority, you must either stop the currently prioritized air conditioner or ensure the operating mode of the first unit is identical to the second unit.
- When indoor units operate in different modes, the RUN indicator illuminates.
Automatic Operation
- When the operating mode switch on the remote control is set to "AUTO", the air conditioner automatically selects "COOL", "DRY", or "HEAT" upon startup based on the room temperature.
- During simultaneous operation of multiple units, operating modes may change automatically based on each room's temperature, causing the outdoor unit to stop. In such cases, COOL or HEAT mode should be used instead of AUTO mode (this applies only when multiple units are used).
Refrigerant (Oil) Recovery Operation
This is to control the recovery of refrigerant (oil) from the unit(s) not in operation. During recovery, you may hear the sound of refrigerant flowing from the unit(s) not in operation.
