JBL Flip 6 Quick Start Guide
What's in the Box
The box contains the JBL Flip 6 speaker and a USB-C charging cable.
Bluetooth Pairing
To pair your device with the JBL Flip 6:
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until the indicator light flashes.
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings, turn on Bluetooth, and select "JBL Flip 6" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light will turn solid.
Play
You can control playback using the buttons on the speaker:
- Press the Play/Pause button once to play or pause music.
- Press the Play/Pause button twice to skip to the next track.
- Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons to adjust the volume.
PartyBoost
Connect multiple JBL PartyBoost-compatible speakers together for a louder sound experience. Press the PartyBoost button on each speaker to link them.
JBL Portable App
Download the JBL Portable app to configure your speaker settings and upgrade its software. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store.
Charging
Connect the USB-C charging cable to the speaker and a power source. The battery indicator will show the charging status.
Battery Protection: To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.
Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)
The JBL Flip 6 is waterproof and dustproof with an IP67 rating. It can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Important Precautions:
- Do not expose the JBL Flip 6 to liquids without removing the cable connection.
- Do not expose JBL Flip 6 to water while charging. It may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.
- Chemicals and salt in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the connector surface over time if not rinsed off after use.
- After a liquid spill or rinse, do not charge your speaker until it's completely dry and clean. Charging when wet might damage your speaker.
- With USB-C charging protection, a reminder sound will alert you to unplug if the connector detects water, salt, or any other chemicals.
- When using an external adapter, the output voltage/current of the external adapter should not exceed 5V/3A.
