INFICON Wey-TEK HD Wireless™ Refrigerant Charging Scale

Product Overview

The INFICON Wey-TEK HD Wireless™ is a refrigerant charging scale designed for accurate measurement and management of refrigerants. This guide covers initial setup, pairing with mobile devices, and basic operation.

The system consists of a wireless weighing platform and a handheld remote/display unit. The weighing platform is a circular, flat device with a textured, non-slip surface, a grey rim, and a central black platform. On the front edge, there are indicator lights and buttons. The handheld remote unit is a rectangular device with rounded edges, featuring a digital display screen and several control buttons. The screen shows "0 lb 0.00 oz" and has buttons labeled "Zero", "Units", and "Menu". There is also a power button on the remote.

Languages supported by the interface include English, Español, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, 中文, and 日本語.

Getting Started

Weighing Platform Setup

1. Insert four AA alkaline batteries into the back of the wireless base.
2. To turn the weighing platform on or off, long press the Power button.

Handpiece Setup

If purchased together, the Wey-TEK HD Wireless and the optional handpiece are paired at the factory.

1. Insert four AA alkaline batteries into the back of the handpiece.
2. To turn the handpiece On or Off, long press the Power button.

Bluetooth® Pairing

Pairing an Android™ Device

Requirement: Android 2.2 and above with the Wey-TEK HD app installed (available on Google Play™) and Bluetooth enabled.

1. Turn the weighing platform On.
2. Press the "Bluetooth Pair" button on the weighing platform. The yellow indicator will change from flashing to solid.
3. Open the Wey-TEK HD Android app.
4. Tap "Connect To Scale". A list of devices will display.
5. Tap "Scale". The yellow indicator will extinguish when pairing is complete.

Pairing an Apple iPhone®

Requirement: Apple iPhone 4s and above with the Wey-TEK HD app installed (available on the App Store) and Bluetooth enabled.

1. Turn the weighing platform On.
2. Open the Wey-TEK HD app.
3. Tap "Connect To Scale". A list of devices will display.
4. Tap "Scale". The yellow indicator will extinguish when pairing is complete.

Pairing a Handpiece with the Wireless Base

A new or replacement Wey-TEK HD handpiece must be paired with the wireless base.

1. Turn the handpiece On.
2. Turn the weighing platform On.
3. Press "Bluetooth Pair" on the weighing platform. The yellow indicator will change from flashing to solid.
4. On the handpiece, press "Menu", scroll down, and select "Pair With Base".
5. Press "Start". The flashing yellow indicator will extinguish when pairing is complete.

Using the Wey-TEK HD Wireless

1. Turn the weighing platform On.
2. Open the Wey-TEK HD app or turn the handpiece on. The weighing platform will connect automatically and weight will be displayed.
3. Press "Zero" at any time to zero the reading.
