Introduction
This section details the operation of the PROHEAR EM-033 earmuffs.
- 1. POWER BUTTON:
- (1) Press and hold for 3 seconds: TURN ON; Press and hold for 5 seconds: TURN OFF.
- (2) Quick Press: SWITCH BT/FM/AM modes.
- 2. TUNING BUTTON:
- (1) Press and hold the [tuning up button] or [tuning down button] for 3 seconds: Automatic station search. (2) Quick press: Manual tuning mode.
- 3. MEMORY BUTTON:
- (1) Choose a favorable channel.
- (2) Long press the [M button] until the display flashes to add the current channel to your presets. Then, quick press the [channel select up button] or [channel select down button] to select the channel, and press again to save it.
- (3) Once multiple channels are saved, quick press the [M button] to switch among them.
- 4. VOLUME CONTROL KNOB:
- Adjust Volume.
- 5. AUX JACK:
- (1) An extra AUX Cable is provided to connect to audio devices.
- (2) Power on the earmuffs.
- (3) Connect it to an MP3 player or iPod through the AUX cable.
- (4) The LCD display will show: AUX.
- 6. RADIO RECEPTION:
- (1) Position the earmuffs as shown in the photo. DO NOT bend the aerial.
- 7. DIGITAL DISPLAY:
- Shows the FM/AM Channel.
- 8. BATTERY COMPARTMENT:
- (1) Non-detachable design.
- (2) Includes a rechargeable lithium polymer battery.
- (3) Comes with a USB charging cable; connect the Type-C interface to charge.
Wireless Bluetooth Technology
Instructions for using the Bluetooth functionality:
- Short press the [search button] to search for BT model '----' after powering on.
- Bluetooth Pairing: Open Bluetooth settings on your phone or MP3 player. Ensure Bluetooth is on and select 'EM033' to connect. Once successful, the LCD display will show 'ON'. The device will automatically reconnect to the previously connected device if it has been paired before.
- Answer/Cancel Call: Short press the [call button] to pick up or end a call. To mute the call, double-click the [call button]. Repeat this process to unmute.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the [reject call button] for 3 seconds.
- Recall: Press and hold the [recall button] for 3 seconds. If you wish to cancel the call, press and hold the [reject call button] for 3 seconds.
- Music Situation: Short press the [next music button] for the next music track; Short press the [previous music button] for the last music track; Short press the [play/pause button] for music pause.

Wearing Instructions
Follow these steps for proper fitting:
- Pull the earcups apart (as shown in Figure 1).
- Place the product on your head, securely covering both ears (as shown in Figure 2).
- Adjust the earcup position by extending the headband to ensure a good fit around the head and ears (as shown in Figure 3).
Important Notes and Warnings

- Check performance before using this product.
- This product contains small parts that may present a choking hazard; not for children under 3 years.
- Hearing protectors can block external sounds like warning calls and alarms. Pay special attention to your surroundings when wearing them. Setting the volume too high can reduce your ability to hear external sounds, potentially leading to serious accidents. Adapt the volume to your working situation.
- These earmuffs contain batteries and electrical components that may cause ignition in flammable or explosive atmospheres. DO NOT use in environments where sparks may cause fire or explosion. Misuse can result in injury or death.
- DO NOT use the radio while driving an automobile or bike, as the radio and earmuffs could block surrounding sounds and increase the risk of an accident.
- Failure to follow warnings and instructions can result in serious personal injury or death.
- In noisy environments, the earmuffs must be worn in the working position at all times.
- The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.
- Do not insert foreign bodies into the headset, as this could cause serious damage.
- Do not allow liquid to enter the headset, as this would damage the product's components.
- In case of immersion or prolonged heavy rain, have the electronics checked by a professional. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Do not use detergents.
- Your headset must be worn at all times in noisy surroundings.
- Inspect regularly to verify operational status. Do not use if damaged; have it checked and repaired by a professional.
- Be careful in wooded environments where earmuffs might snag.
- If earmuffs move due to falling or snagging, reposition them to ensure effectiveness.
Use Instructions
Adhering to these recommendations ensures optimal protection. If not followed, protection may be severely impaired.
- This headset features level-dependent attenuation. Check correct operation before use. If distortion or failure is detected, refer to manufacturer's advice for maintenance and battery replacement.
- Performance may decrease with battery usage. Typical continuous use is approximately 250 hours. The output of the level-dependent circuit may exceed external sound levels.
- These earmuffs meet optional requirements at +50°C and -20°C.
- The earmuff has an electrical audio input. Check correct operation before use. Refer to manufacturer's advice for maintenance and battery replacement if distortion or failure is detected.

Storage
When not in use, store earmuffs without stretching the headband or compressing the cushions. Ensure cushions lie flat and without creases. Keep earmuffs dry, clean, and at normal room temperature, away from dust and direct sunlight. If storing for a prolonged period, remove batteries to prevent damage. The shelf life of the product is 5 years.
Hygiene Kit
Cushions and inserts are replaceable. Always replace worn or damaged parts. Remove the cushion by pulling it straight out. Use only hygiene kits from ZH.
Maintenance
Inspect earmuffs regularly. Cushions may deteriorate with use and should be examined frequently for cracking and leakage. Clean and disinfect cups, cushions, and inserts with mild soap and water only. Do not immerse earmuffs in water. To avoid moisture damage to electronic components, remove acoustic foam regularly and allow ear cups to dry. CAUTION: Do not touch the electronics board or cables! Once dry, reinstall the acoustic foam to cover the electronics.
