EFFICIENCY
AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) ratings are like a car's MPG – the higher the number, the greater the potential for savings. Carrier's Performance™ 86 oil boilers deliver up to 86.2% AFUE heating, and the Performance™ 84 gas boiler achieves up to 84.4% AFUE. Both offer the potential for savings over an older, less efficient model you may be replacing.
VERSATILITY
Carrier boilers are engineered for big performance from a compact cabinet. These models should easily fit into the space of an older, larger unit you may be replacing, and provide greater versatility for new installations.
LIMITED WARRANTY
To the original owner, the Carrier Performance 86 (BW5, BW4) and Performance 84 (BW3) boilers, and the Comfort™ 84 (BWB) boiler are covered by a 10-year parts and 20-year heat exchanger limited warranty upon timely registration. The Comfort 80 (BS2) has a 10-year parts and 12-year heat exchanger limited warranty upon timely registration. The parts limited warranty period is five years if not registered within 90 days of installation, except in jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned upon registration. At Carrier, purchasing a new heating or cooling system is a big investment. Protect your investment. Carrier is excited to offer a Consumer Choice Warranty option. Most Carrier products come with the option to select the warranty of your choice. Dealer participation is required.*
