  • Wireless router (for internet connection)
  • Internet connection (for streaming)
  • Computer, tablet, or smartphone (for setup)
  • Roku account (for accessing streaming channels)

Mount Base onto TV

Step 1: Prepare

Place the TV screen-down on a soft, flat surface.

Step 2: Attach Stands

Attach the TV stands to the bottom of the TV using the provided screws.

Step 3: Secure Stands

Use the screws to secure the stands. (Illustration shows 2 screws per stand).

If wall mounting, refer to the "Important Safety Instructions" for recommended bracket kits.

Connections

Digital Audio Output

Connect to sound bars or home theater systems using an optical (TOSLINK) cable. An optical to coaxial adapter may be needed for devices with only coaxial input.

AV Input Jack

Use the included AV IN adapter to connect external devices like VCRs. Note: Image distortion may occur due to copyright protection.

HDMI Input Jacks

Connect Blu-ray players, cable/satellite boxes, gaming consoles, etc. HDMI 3 supports HDMI-ARC for audio output to compatible devices.

USB Port

Connect a USB flash drive for photos, music, movies, and Live TV pause. A 16GB or larger drive is required for Live TV pause. Visit go.roku.com/rokumediaplayer for supported file formats.

Antenna/Cable Input

Connect a 75 ohm cable for antenna or satellite box connection.

Headphone Jack

3.5 mm stereo jack for audio output.

⚠️ Caution: Disconnect the AC power cord before connecting devices.

Controls

TV Controls

  1. Power/Select: Press to turn TV on or select a connected device. Press and hold to turn TV off.
  2. Remote control sensor
  3. Factory Reset: Press and hold for about 10 seconds for a factory reset.

Note: The power button is located at the bottom side of the TV.

⚠️ Caution: A factory reset will erase data and restore default settings. You will need to re-setup the TV, sign into streaming channels, and rescan for channels.

Using the Remote

Installing Batteries

Slide the battery cover down. Insert 2 AAA (1.5 V) batteries, matching polarity.

Remote Buttons:

  • 1 Power: Turn TV on/off.
  • 2 Back: Return to previous screen.
  • 3 OK: Select an option from a menu.
  • 4 Instant Replay: Replay the last few seconds of streaming video.
  • 5 RWD Scan: Rewind streaming video, scroll left one page at a time.
  • 6 Home: Return to the Roku Home screen.
  • 7 Directional Keypad (D-Pad): Navigate menus. Left arrow shows antenna TV channel list/Smart Guide. Left/right arrows used for Live TV Pause scenes.
  • 8 Sleep: Set the sleep timer.
  • 9 Options: Access picture settings, channel management, etc. (Symbol ? is used here)
  • 10 FWD Scan: Fast forward streaming video, scroll right one page at a time. Used for Live TV Pause.
  • 11 Play/Pause: Start or pause playback. Activates Live TV Pause with a connected USB drive.
  • 12 Featured Channel Shortcut: Access featured channels directly.
  • 13 Volume/Mute: Adjust volume or mute sound.

* The Options button (9) provides easy access to picture settings, display options, and more.

Plug In and Turn On TV

Connect the AC power cord to an outlet and press the power button on the remote.

Follow On-Screen Instructions

Your Roku TV will guide you through initial setup, including connecting to your wireless network. Have your network name and password ready.

You can choose to connect to the internet later.

The TV will automatically update its software once connected.

Activate Your Smart TV

A Roku account is required to activate your TV and access streaming channels. Follow on-screen instructions using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Roku Account Details:

  • Roku accounts are free. A credit card is optional but speeds up renting/purchasing.
  • A PIN can be added to prevent unauthorized purchases.

? Tip: Roku does not charge for activation support; beware of scams.

Connect Antenna or Cable (Optional)

Connect your TV to an antenna or cable (free cable only, not cable TV with a set-top box) for over-the-air entertainment.

Using Live TV Tile:

After setup, select the "Live TV" tile on the home screen to watch local broadcast TV. User interface may vary.

Live TV Features:

  • D-Pad Left: Accesses the smart guide/channel list.
  • Play/Pause: Pauses live TV for up to 90 minutes with a 16 GB USB drive.
  • RWD/FWD Scan: Fast forward/rewind paused live TV.
  • D-Pad Left/Right: Scroll through paused Live TV scenes.

Live TV Pause requires a 16 GB or larger USB drive and a valid Roku account. USB drive data will be deleted before use.

Important Safety Instructions

Safety Symbols:

  • CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT OPEN: ⚡ Indicates potential electric shock hazard. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Lightning flash with arrowhead: ⚡ Alerts to uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the enclosure.
  • Exclamation point: ❗ Alerts to important operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Class II / Double Insulated: Indicates safety connection to electrical earth is not required.

General Safety Warnings:

  • Do not expose to rain or moisture.
  • Clean only with a dry cloth.
  • Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Install away from heat sources.
  • Do not defeat plug safety features.
  • Protect power cords from damage.
  • Use manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
  • Use only with specified stands/brackets.
  • Unplug during lightning storms or long periods of non-use.
  • Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

Child Safety:

  • Always use furniture that can safely support the TV.
  • Never place the TV on furniture that children can climb on.
  • Never allow children to climb on the TV or furniture.
  • Install the TV where it cannot be pushed, pulled over, or knocked down.
  • Secure cords and cables to prevent tripping.

Wall or Ceiling Mount:

Contact a retailer for professional installation if unsure. Use only manufacturer-recommended, safety-certified mounts. Follow all instructions. Ensure the wall/ceiling is suitable. Minimum two people required for mounting.

Moving Older TVs:

Place older CRT TVs on sturdy, appropriate furniture. Do not place on dressers children might climb. Ensure the TV does not overhang the furniture edge.

Positioning the TV

Wall Mounting Space:

Allow space: Top: 11.8" (30 cm), Left/Right: 5.9" (15 cm), Bottom: 3.9" (10 cm).

General Positioning:

TVs are heavy; 2 people needed for handling. Install horizontally on a stable surface. Avoid direct sunlight, dust, strong vibration, and rapid temperature changes. Do not use in tropical environments. Do not place objects on or under the unit. Ensure adequate space between the TV and external devices to prevent interference.

AC Power:

Connect AC power cord only after all connections are made. Ensure easy access to the power cord and outlet for disconnection. Unplug before moving. Do not pinch the power cord when setting down.

Regulatory Notices:

  • FCC/IC Compliance: Tested for Class B digital device. Generates/uses RF energy. May cause interference if not installed correctly.
  • FCC Caution: Changes not approved by the responsible party may void user authority. Transmitter must not be co-located with other antennas/transmitters.
  • RF Exposure: Complies with FCC/IC radiation exposure limits. Install with radiator at least 20 cm from body.
  • Part 15 Compliance: Subject to two conditions: no harmful interference, and acceptance of received interference.
  • 5150-5250 MHz Band: Restricted to indoor use.
  • Stability Hazard: TVs can fall, causing injury. Use recommended furniture/mounts. Do not place on unstable furniture. Anchor furniture and TV if necessary. Keep children away from climbing. Do not place on cloth between TV and furniture. Do not place tempting items on TV/furniture.
  • Ventilation: Do not place in enclosed spaces like cabinets. Ensure 4 inches (10 cm) or more ventilation space around the unit.
  • Power Off: Pressing the power button puts the TV in standby. Unplug the AC power plug to completely turn off. Keep the AC plug readily available.
  • Gas Duster Warning: Never use a gas duster; trapped gas can cause ignition/explosion.

Environmental Care and Warranty

Environmental Care

Recycle packaging. Visit www.recycle.philips.com for product recycling information. Dispose of old TVs according to local regulations.

Battery Usage:

  • CAUTION: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly. Use same/equivalent type.
  • WARNING: Do not expose batteries to excessive heat.
  • Do not mix old/new or different battery types (alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).

Disposal of Used Batteries:

Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Batteries supplied are mercury and cadmium-free.

Preparing to Move/Ship:

Pack the unit carefully, following diagrams. Do not pack the stand on the same side as the screen to avoid damage.

One (1) year limited warranty for original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase required.

What is Covered:

New products with defects will be repaired or exchanged at the company's option. Replacement items are covered for 90 days or the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer.

What is Not Covered:

  • Accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, unauthorized service.
