For replacing HPL/SON/Other Lamps, Convert to Direct Mains (Recommended)

Diagrams illustrate converting to direct mains power for HPL/SON/Other lamps. Steps include switching off power, disconnecting existing ballast/ignitor wires, connecting directly to mains, inserting the new LED lamp, and switching power back on. A warning sticker is shown, and the final state is with power ON.

Steps:

  1. 1 Switch power OFF.
  2. 2 Disconnect existing ballast/ignitor wires.
  3. 3 Connect wires directly to mains power.
  4. 4 Screw in the new LED lamp.
  5. 5 Apply warning sticker.
  6. 6 Switch power ON.

Note: Ensure open wires are properly terminated after disconnection. If a capacitor is left connected, the power factor may be lower.

For replacing HPL Lamps and keeping the EM ballast

Diagrams illustrate replacing HPL lamps while keeping the Electromagnetic (EM) ballast. Steps involve switching off power, disconnecting the capacitor (optional), connecting wires to the ballast, inserting the LED lamp, and switching power on. Notes mention proper termination of disconnected wires and potential lower power factor if the capacitor is not removed.

Steps:

  1. 1 Switch power OFF.
  2. 2 Disconnect capacitor (optional).
  3. 3 Connect wires to the EM ballast.
  4. 4 Screw in the new LED lamp.
  5. 5 Apply warning sticker.
  6. 6 Switch power ON.

Note: Ensure open wires are properly terminated after disconnection. If a capacitor is left connected, the power factor may be lower.

For replacing SON Lamps and keeping the EM ballast

Diagrams illustrate replacing SON lamps while keeping the Electromagnetic (EM) ballast. Steps include switching off power, disconnecting wires from both the ignitor and capacitor (optional), connecting wires to the ballast, inserting the LED lamp, and switching power on. Notes emphasize proper termination of disconnected wires and the potential for a lower power factor if the capacitor is not removed.

Steps:

  1. 1 Switch power OFF.
  2. 2 Disconnect ignitor and capacitor (optional).
  3. 3 Connect wires to the EM ballast.
  4. 4 Screw in the new LED lamp.
  5. 5 Apply warning sticker.
  6. 6 Switch power ON.

Note: Ensure open wires are properly terminated after disconnection. If a capacitor is left connected, the power factor may be lower.
