If your earbuds cannot connect to the soundcore app, reinstall the app or update it to the latest version from your mobile app store.

Overview

Wearing

• Ear tip sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL. Select the ear tips that best fit your ears.
• Wearing: Insert the earbuds into your ears and adjust for a secure fit. Perform a fit test in the soundcore app to ensure optimal ANC performance.

Turning On and Pairing

Diagram 1 shows the charging case with earbuds. Diagram 2 shows a phone screen with Bluetooth enabled and the device "soundcore P40i" selected.

Open the charging case, and the earbuds will automatically turn on and enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select "soundcore P40i" from your device's Bluetooth list to connect for the first time.

When pairing, the LED light strip will slowly flash white. After a successful connection, the LED light strip will stay lit for 2 seconds and then turn off.

Charging

Diagram 1 shows earbuds being placed into the charging case. Diagram 2 illustrates charging methods.

• Place the earbuds in the charging case and close it.
• Fully charge the earbuds and the USB-C charging port before charging.
• Connect the charging case to a power source using a certified USB-C charging cable.
• Alternatively, place the charging case in the center of your wireless charger for wireless charging.

Charging Case Battery Indicators:

• Less than 20%: Short white light
• 20% - 60%: Long white light
• 60% - 99%: Long white light
• 5 minutes of charging provides approximately 100% battery (This refers to a quick charge feature for the earbuds, not the case battery level indicator).

Dual Connections

To connect the earbuds to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, first open the soundcore app, go to Settings, select Dual Connections, then Enable Dual Connections, and finally Connect New Device.

After completing the app configuration, wear the earbuds, then press and hold the touchpad on both earbuds for 3 seconds simultaneously.

Manual Pairing

Diagram 1 shows earbuds in the charging case. Diagram 2 shows the back of the charging case with the reset button.

To manually enter Bluetooth pairing mode, place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the charging case for 3 seconds until the LED light strip flashes white rapidly.

Controls

Diagrams illustrate touch controls for TWS (True Wireless Stereo) and Mono modes.

• 1. Single Tap: Perform a single tap on the touch control area.
• 2. Double Tap: Perform a double tap on the touch control area.
• 2s: Press and Hold for 2 seconds: Press and hold the touch control area for two seconds.

You can also customize controls in the soundcore app.

Ambient Sound

You can select Noise Cancellation, Normal, or Transparency mode in the soundcore app.

• Adaptive ANC: Optimizes noise cancellation by adapting to your ears and environment.
• Transparency: Stay aware of your surroundings while listening to music.

Power Off

To turn off, place the earbuds into the charging case and close it.

Reset

Diagram 1 shows earbuds in the charging case. Diagram 2 shows the back of the charging case with the reset button being pressed.

Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED light strip flashes white rapidly three times.

LED Light Guide

Diagrams and text explain the LED light indicators on the charging case and earbuds.

• Flashing white rapidly: Indicates pairing mode or reset completion.
• Flashing white slowly: Indicates normal operation or Bluetooth connection.
• Solid white: Indicates charging or fully charged (case).
• Flashing red slowly: Indicates low battery.
• Solid red: Indicates charging in progress.
• Off: Indicates power off or not charging.

Firmware Update

You will be notified when a new firmware version is detected when you connect the earbuds to the app. Ensure the earbuds are placed in the charging case and the case remains open until the firmware update is complete. During the update, make sure the earbuds are charging and avoid any usage.
