Safety Precautions

  • Explosion Hazard: Switch off your device in areas with potential explosive atmospheres, such as refueling stations or chemical plants, as radio frequency sparks can cause fire or explosion. Comply with legal requirements and local restrictions.
  • Medical Device Interference: Your phone's radio waves may interfere with inadequately shielded medical devices. Consult a physician or the medical device manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded. Switch off your device when regulations require you to do so.
  • Choking Hazard - Small Parts: Keep the phone and accessories out of reach of small children. Small parts like SIM cards or microSD cards can be dismantled and swallowed by children.
  • Magnetic Field Hazard: Do not place the phone near electromagnetic data carriers, such as credit/debit cards, as the information stored on them could be lost.
  • Hearing Hazard - Volume: Permanent hearing damage may occur if you use earphones at high volume for prolonged periods. Set your volume to a safe level. If you experience discomfort, reduce the volume or discontinue use of your earphones.

Device Care and Environment

Taking Care of Your Device

  • Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and liquids can rust electronic circuits. If the device gets wet, remove the battery, wipe it with a dry cloth, and take it to an authorized service center.
  • Avoid storing the device in high or low temperatures, as extreme temperatures can shorten its life and damage batteries.
  • Do not use or store the device in dusty or dirty areas, as moving parts and electronic components may get damaged.
  • Do not attempt to open the device, except as instructed in this guide.
  • Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can damage internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
  • Use a soft, clean, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
  • Do not store your device near magnetic fields or allow it to come into contact with magnetic fields for extended periods.

Battery Recommendations

  • Place the battery in a cool, well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight. Charge the battery at room temperature.
  • Batteries have a limited life cycle. If the battery depletes significantly faster than usual after a full charge, it may be nearing the end of its life. Replace it with a new battery of the same make and specification.
  • Use only compatible batteries, chargers, accessories, and supplies. Micromax is not liable for user safety when using incompatible accessories.
  • Do not discard used batteries with household trash. Dispose of them according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.

Temperature and Humidity

  • The device is designed for operation within a temperature range of -20°C ± 5 to 45°C ± 5. Storage should be within -30°C ± 5 to 65°C ± 5. Violating these conditions can damage the device and reduce battery life.
  • The recommended humidity for maintaining the device is between 50% to 55%.
  • Do not expose your device to extreme temperatures or humidity.

Recycle Your Phone

The `[WEEE Recycling Symbol]` logo on the product (battery, handset, charger) indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste. You are responsible for disposing of all electronic or electrical waste equipment at designated collection points for recycling. Proper collection and recovery of electronic waste help preserve the environment and ensure human health and safety.

SAR Information

SAR Compliance

  • Your device is designed not to exceed the limits of radio wave emission recommended by international guidelines.
  • SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) measures body-absorbed RF quantity during device use. SAR values are determined according to the highest RF level generated during laboratory tests.
  • The SAR value can depend on factors like proximity to the network tower or use of accessories.
  • The SAR value for the device at the head is 0.31W/kg and at the body is 1.08W/kg, averaged over 1 gm of human tissue.

SAR Recommendations

  • Use a wireless hands-free system (headphone, headset) with a low-power Bluetooth emitter.
  • Keep your calls short and use SMS when more convenient. This advice is especially applicable to children, adolescents, and pregnant women.
  • Prefer to use your handset when the signal quality is good.
  • People with active medical implants should preferably keep the handset at least 15 cm away from the implant.
  • Maintain a preferable distance of 15 mm from the device.

The FCC Advice

Some people mistakenly believe that using a cell phone with a lower reported SAR value necessarily decreases exposure to RF emissions or is safer than a phone with a high SAR value. While SAR values are important for judging maximum possible RF energy exposure, a single SAR value does not provide sufficient information to reliably compare individual handset models under typical usage conditions.

World Health Organization (WHO) Advice

Organizations like the World Health Organization and the US Food and Drug Administration have stated that concerned individuals can reduce their exposure by using a hands-free device to keep the handset away from the head and body during calls, or by reducing the amount of time spent on the phone.
