EIZO Expands Lineup of Flat Panel Monitors with New 16-Inch Product
FlexScan L465 provides just the right mix of space-savings, multimedia support, and image control for users seeking an alternative to 17-inch CRT monitors
Mauto, Japan, December 6, 2001 – Eizo Nanao Corporation today introduced the FlexScan L465, its latest high-performance 16-inch LCD monitor. The SXGA (1280 x 1024) native resolution, expanded color space, and sRGB support of this model should further spur the migration of 17-inch CRT monitor users to flat panel displays. Other features such as built-in stereo speakers and support for both analog and digital signals make for a carefully designed product versatile enough to meet the requirements of small businesses, back offices, call centers, and banks.
"The continuously falling prices of LCD monitors are making them an ever more viable alternative to 17-inch CRT monitors which have been the standard in offices for years,” said Kunihiro Arata, General Manager of Eizo Nanao Corporation's Overseas Sales & Marketing Division. "The FlexScan L465 serves as the perfect upgrade with its equivalent viewable image size and SXGA resolution capability."
Thoughtfully Designed Package
The FlexScan L465 features a slim bezel design resulting in a smaller footprint comparable to many 15" LCD monitors available today. Even with its built-in power supply unit, total width is only 370 mm, and depth a mere 157 mm. The VESA compliant mounting interface allows for placement on a wall or adjustable arm. Integrated stereo speakers (1W + 1W) with volume adjustment and mute control provide multimedia support and contribute to a cleaner desktop.
Advanced Color Reproduction and Analog/Digital Inputs
The FlexScan L465 delivers rich and vivid colors with its high 250 cd/m² brightness, 400:1 contrast ratio, and color reproduction capabilities on par with the color space established by the European Broadcasting Union. An sRGB mode is also included for color matching with other peripherals containing an equivalent setting. In addition, as sRGB is the default color space for the World Wide Web, on-line shoppers can be sure that the colors they see on-screen will match the goods that arrive on their doorstep. The FlexScan L465 also offers advanced color control with independent adjustment of color temperature, hue, saturation, and gain.
Dual inputs (DVI-D and D-Sub mini 15 pin) provide support for both digital and analog signals. This guarantees the FlexScan L465 works with legacy computer systems as well as those outfitted with digital graphics cards.
Compliance with Leading Regulatory Standards
An energy expenditure of only three watts in power save mode allows the FlexScan L465 to comply with both the EPA Energy Star® and Energy 2000 standards. It also meets the rigorous requirements of TCO'99¹, and TÜV/Ergonomics.
Screen Protection
To prevent scratches and dust, EIZO offers the optional FW-05, a thin, lightweight sheet made to fit comfortably over the screen and leave minimal trace of implementation.
Availability
The FlexScan L465 is currently shipping and will go on sale worldwide in early January of 2002. The cabinet is available in a choice of gray or black. Please contact the authorized EIZO distributor in your country for more details.
