Advantech PPC-112W/115W Panel PC Startup Manual

This manual provides essential information for the startup and installation of the Advantech PPC-112W and PPC-115W series of All-in-One Panel PCs.

Product Overview

The Advantech PPC-112W and PPC-115W are 11.6" and 15.6" All-in-One Panel PCs, respectively. They are powered by the Rockchip 3399 Processor and run on the Android 10 operating system.

Product Appearance

Front View: The front of the panel PC features a display screen with a black bezel.

Rear View: The rear of the panel PC houses the main computing unit and various ports. It also includes mounting points for VESA mounting.

VESA mount screws: 4 x M4 screws, with a maximum screw depth of 8 mm (0.31 in).

I/O Layout

The following I/O ports are available on the rear panel:

A. DC-In: Power input connector.
B. 1 x RS-232: Serial communication port.
C. 1 x USB 2.0: Universal Serial Bus port.
D. 1 x USB 3.0: Faster Universal Serial Bus port.
E. 1 x LAN: Ethernet port for network connectivity.
F. 1 x Micro USB OTG: Micro USB On-The-Go port for device connectivity.
G. 1 x Reset button: Button to reset the device.
H. 1 x Micro SD slot: Slot for a Micro Secure Digital card for storage expansion.

System Installation

VESA Mount Installation:

Remove the four screws from the rear of the panel PC.
Align the screw holes of the VESA mount with the screw holes on the rear of the panel PC.
Secure the VESA mount to the panel PC using the four screws.

Micro SD Card Installation:

Open the SD card cover.
Insert the micro SD card.
Close the SD card cover.

Safety Instructions

Retain the startup manual for future reference.
Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a damp cloth only; do not use liquid or spray detergents.
Ensure the power outlet is easily accessible for pluggable equipment.
Protect the equipment from humidity.
Place equipment on a reliable surface during installation to prevent damage from drops.
Do not cover ventilation openings to prevent overheating.
Ensure the power source voltage is correct and the outlet is grounded.
Position the power cord away from high-traffic areas and do not place objects on it.
Note all cautions and warnings on the equipment.
If the equipment is unused for a long time, disconnect it from the power source to prevent damage from transient overvoltage.
Never pour liquid into an opening; this may cause fire or electrical shock.
Never open the equipment yourself. Only qualified service personnel should open the equipment for safety reasons.
Have the equipment checked by qualified service personnel if: the power cord/plug is damaged; liquid has penetrated; it has been exposed to moisture; it is malfunctioning; it has been dropped or damaged; or it shows obvious signs of breakage.
Do not leave the equipment in storage temperatures below -20 °C (-4 °F) or above 60 °C (140 °F) as this may cause damage.
Batteries: Risk of explosion if incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to manufacturer's instructions.
The sound pressure level at the operator's position should not exceed 70 dB(A) in accordance with IEC 704-1:1982.
This product is intended to be supplied by a UL-certified power supply (Adapter: ADP-36PH) suitable for use at ambient temperatures of 40 °C / 104 °F minimum, with output rated 12V, 3A minimum, ES1 (or SELV). Contact Advantech for assistance if needed.
