2.1 What is UEFI?
UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) is a modern graphical interface that replaces the traditional BIOS. It offers enhanced functionality and user-friendliness. Default UEFI settings are optimized for most environments. Adjust settings only if necessary and with expert advice.
2.2 UEFI BIOS Utility

2.3 ASUS EZ Flash 3 Utility
ASUS EZ Flash 3 is a utility that allows you to update the UEFI BIOS quickly without entering the OS. Ensure you load optimized defaults before updating. Use a FAT32/16 formatted USB drive. Do not interrupt the BIOS update process.
2.4 ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3
ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 is a tool to recover a corrupted UEFI BIOS using a USB memory. Rename the BIOS file to "ASUS.CAP" or "PB660AD4.CAP" on the USB drive. The system will automatically detect and recover the BIOS. After recovery, load optimized defaults.
2.5 RAID
The motherboard supports Intel® Rapid Storage Technology for SATA RAID 0/1/5/10. Refer to the RAID configuration manual for setup details. RAID 0 (striping) improves speed. RAID 1 (mirroring) provides data redundancy. RAID 5 (striping with parity) offers a balance of performance, redundancy, and capacity. RAID 10 (mirroring + striping) combines the benefits of RAID 0 and RAID 1.
