Safety Precautions
⚠️ WARNING: This unit uses a flammable refrigerant. If refrigerant leaks and comes into contact with fire or hot surfaces, it can produce toxic gas and pose a fire hazard.
Always read the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS and INSTALLATION MANUAL carefully before operating or servicing the unit. These instructions are crucial for safety.
General Warnings:
- ⚠️ Do not connect the power cord to an extension cord or multi-outlet adapter. This can cause overheating, fire, or electric shock.
- Ensure the power plug is clean and firmly inserted into the outlet. A dirty plug can cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not bundle, pull, damage, or modify the power cord. Do not expose it to heat or place heavy objects on it. This can cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not switch the circuit breaker on/off or plug/unplug the power cord while the unit is operating. This can create sparks and cause fire. After turning off the indoor unit with the remote control, turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the power cord.
- Do not expose your body to the cool air for extended periods, as it may affect your health.
- Installation, relocation, disassembly, modification, or repair should only be performed by authorized service personnel. Improper handling can lead to fire, electric shock, injury, or water leakage.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent to prevent hazards.
- Ensure no substance other than the specified refrigerant (R32) enters the refrigerant circuit during installation, relocation, or maintenance. Other substances can cause abnormal pressure increases, leading to explosion or injury. Using a non-specified refrigerant can cause mechanical damage, malfunctions, or system failure, compromising product safety.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Meaning of Symbols Used in This Manual:

Never insert fingers, sticks, or other objects into the air inlet/outlet. This can cause injury due to the high-speed rotating fan inside.
Specific Warnings and Cautions:
- ⚠️ If abnormal conditions occur (e.g., burning smell), stop operation immediately and turn off the power. Continued operation can cause fire or electric shock. Contact your dealer.
- If the unit is not cooling or heating, a refrigerant leak may be the cause. Stop operation, ventilate the room well, and contact your dealer immediately.
- Refrigerant is not harmful under normal conditions. If it leaks and contacts fire or hot surfaces, it can produce toxic gas and cause fire.
- Never attempt to wash the inside of the indoor unit. Contact your dealer for cleaning. Improper cleaning agents can damage plastic parts, leading to water leakage. Contact with electrical components or the motor can cause malfunctions, smoke, or fire.
- The unit must be installed in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (e.g., open flames, gas appliances, electric heaters).
- Refrigerants can be odorless.
- Do not use anything other than manufacturer-recommended means to accelerate defrosting or clean the unit.
- Do not puncture or incinerate.
- The indoor unit must be installed in rooms with adequate floor space. Consult your dealer.
- This unit is suitable for use by professionals or trained personnel in shops, light industry, farms, or for commercial use by laypersons.
- ❗ Do not touch the air inlet or aluminum fins of the indoor/outdoor unit. This can cause injury.
- Do not use insecticides, flammable sprays, air fresheners, or antibacterial agents on the unit. This can cause fire or deformation.
- Do not expose pets or houseplants to direct airflow. This can harm them.
- Do not place other electrical appliances or furniture directly below the indoor/outdoor unit. Water dripping from the unit can cause malfunctions or damage.
- Never mount the unit on a damaged installation stand. It could fall and cause injury.
- Do not climb on unstable steps to clean the unit. You could fall and injure yourself.
- Do not pull the power cord. This can break wires, leading to overheating or fire.
- Do not charge, disassemble, or incinerate batteries. They can leak, catch fire, or explode.
- Do not operate the unit for more than 4 hours in high humidity (80% RH or higher) with windows/doors open. This can cause condensation to drip onto furniture. Condensation can also promote mold growth.
- Do not use the unit for special purposes like food storage, animal/plant breeding, or preserving precision instruments/art objects. This can degrade quality or harm living things.
- Do not expose combustion appliances to direct airflow. This can lead to incomplete combustion.
- Never put batteries in your mouth to avoid accidental ingestion. Swallowing batteries can cause choking and/or poisoning.
- Before cleaning, turn off the power and unplug the unit. This can prevent injury from the high-speed fan.
- If the unit is not used for a long time, unplug it. Dust accumulation can cause overheating or fire.
- Replace all remote control batteries with new ones of the same type. Mixing old and new batteries can cause overheating, leakage, or explosion.
- If battery fluid contacts skin or clothing, rinse immediately with clean water. If it contacts eyes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention.
- Ensure good ventilation when operating the unit in a room with combustion appliances. Insufficient ventilation can lead to oxygen deficiency.
- Do not operate the unit after applying floor treatment chemicals. These chemicals can enter the unit, causing water leakage or spray.
- Turn off the breaker/fuse if you hear thunder, as lightning strikes can damage the unit.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance after several seasons of use. Dirt and dust can cause odors, mold, or clogged drains. Contact your dealer for maintenance requiring special knowledge.
- Never operate switches with wet hands. This can cause electric shock.
- Do not clean the unit with water or place liquid containers on it. This can cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not step on the outdoor unit or place heavy objects on it. It could fall and cause injury.
- ❗ Dirty filters can lead to condensation and mold growth. Clean air filters every 2 weeks.
- Ensure horizontal vanes are closed before starting operation. If open, they may not return to the correct position.
For Installation:
- ⚠️ Contact your dealer for installation. It requires special knowledge and skills. Improper installation can lead to leaks, fire, or electric shock.
- Use a separate circuit breaker for the air conditioner. Connecting it with other appliances can cause overheating or fire.
- Never install the unit where flammable gas may leak. Gas accumulation near the outdoor unit can cause an explosion.
- Ground the unit properly. Never connect the ground wire to gas pipes, water pipes, lightning rods, or communication system ground wires. Improper grounding can cause electric shock.
- ❗ Install an isolation monitor depending on the installation location (e.g., in very humid areas). Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
- Ensure proper drainage. If the condensate drain line is not functioning correctly, water may drip from the unit and damage furniture.
- If the unit operates abnormally, stop operation immediately and contact your dealer.
For the Wi-Fi Interface:
- ⚠️ This unit can be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, if supervised or instructed on safe use and potential hazards. Children should not play with the unit. Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
- Do not use the Wi-Fi interface near medical devices like pacemakers or implantable defibrillators. Malfunctions could lead to accidents.
- Do not install near automatic control devices such as automatic doors or fire alarms. Malfunctions could cause accidents.
- Do not touch the Wi-Fi interface with wet hands. This can damage the unit or cause electric shock/fire.
- Do not spray water on the Wi-Fi interface or use it in bathrooms. This can damage the unit or cause electric shock/fire.
- If the Wi-Fi interface is dropped or the holder/cable is damaged, unplug it or turn off the breaker. Contact your dealer.
- ❗ Do not stand on unstable step stools to set up or clean the Wi-Fi interface. You could fall and injure yourself.
- Do not use the Wi-Fi interface near other wireless devices, microwaves, cordless phones, or fax machines, as this may cause malfunctions.

*2: Emergency Operation (E.O. SW) can be activated by pressing the switch on the indoor unit. Pressing the E.O. SW button cycles through: Emergency Cooling -> Emergency Heating -> Stop.
Preparation Before Operation
Before operation: Plug the power cord into the outlet and/or turn on the circuit breaker or fuse.
Inserting Batteries into the Remote Control:
- Remove the front cover.
- Insert AAA alkaline batteries, starting with the minus pole.
- Replace the front cover.
- Press RESET.
Setting the Current Time:
- Press CLOCK.
- Press the DAY button to set the day.
- Press either the TIME button or the TIMER buttons to set the time. Each press advances or reverses the clock by 1 minute (10 minutes with a long press).
- Press CLOCK again to finish.
Remote Control Functions
The remote control allows you to operate the air conditioner. Signal reception is confirmed by beeps from the indoor unit.
Key Buttons and Functions:
- OFF/ON: Starts or stops operation.
- MODE: Selects the operation mode: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN.
- TEMP ▲/▼: Adjusts the temperature by 1°C with each press.
- FAN: Adjusts the fan speed: AUTO, SILENT, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, VERY HIGH.
- VANE: Controls the vertical airflow direction. Use SWING for automatic vane movement or select a fixed position (1-5).
- ECONO COOL: Activates an energy-saving cooling mode where the set temperature and airflow direction are automatically adjusted.
- i-save: Recalls or saves your preferred settings with a simple press. Pressing again returns to the previous setting.
- NIGHT MODE: Reduces the brightness of the operation indicator, disables beeps, and limits the outdoor unit's noise level.
- PURIFIER (VGKP Type Only): Activates the air purification function, which reduces airborne fungi, viruses, mold, and allergens.
- TIME/TIMER (ON/OFF): Sets the timer for operation to turn ON or OFF at a specified time.
- WEEKLY TIMER EDIT/SEND: Allows setting weekly timer schedules. Press to enter setting mode, select day and schedule number, set ON/OFF time and temperature, then press SET to confirm. Press ON/OFF to activate/deactivate the weekly timer.
- CLOCK: Sets the current time.
- RESET: Resets settings.
Cleaning Instructions
Before cleaning, turn off the power supply (circuit breaker, fuse, etc.).
- Do not touch metal parts with your hands.
- Do not use gasoline, solvents, abrasive cleaners, or insecticides.
- For stubborn dirt, wash with a neutral kitchen detergent diluted in lukewarm water according to the specified concentration, then wipe off with a damp cloth.
- Do not use scrubbing brushes, hard sponges, or similar items.
- Do not soak or rinse the horizontal vane.
- Do not use water with a temperature above 50°C (122°F).
- Never expose parts to direct sunlight, heat, or open flame to dry them.
- Do not apply excessive force to the fan, as it may cause cracks or breakage.
Air Cleaner (VGKP Type Only) - Clean every 3 months:
- Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner.
- If dust cannot be removed by vacuuming: Soak the filter and frame in lukewarm water and wash it. Dry thoroughly in the shade after washing.
Air Filter (Air Purification Filter) - Clean every 2 weeks:
- Remove accumulated dirt with a vacuum cleaner or wash with water.
- Dry thoroughly in the shade after washing with water.
Front Panel:
- Lift the front panel until it clicks.
- Hold the panel by the hinges and pull to remove it as shown in the illustration.
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth or wash with water. Do not leave the panel submerged in water for more than two hours.
- Dry thoroughly in the shade.
- Install the front panel in the reverse order of removal. Close the panel properly and press at the indicated positions.
Air Purification Filter (V-Filter, VGKP Type: Option) - Clean every 3 months:
- Remove dirt with a vacuum cleaner.
- If dirt cannot be removed by vacuuming: Soak the filter and frame in lukewarm water before washing. Dry thoroughly in the shade after washing.
- Secure all filter tabs.
Air Purification Filter Replacement - Annually:
- For best performance, replace the air purification filter annually with a new one.
Important: Clean filters regularly for best performance and energy savings. Dirty filters can lead to condensation and mold growth. Air filters are recommended to be cleaned every 2 weeks.

Troubleshooting
In the following cases, stop operation and contact your dealer:
- If water leaks or drips from the indoor unit.
- If the left operation indicator light blinks.
- If the fuse frequently blows.
- If the remote control signal cannot be received in a room with certain fluorescent lights (neon tubes, etc.).
- If the air conditioner operation interferes with radio or television reception. An antenna amplifier for the affected device may be required.
- If unusual noises are heard.
- If a refrigerant leak is detected.
