NIBE™ VPB 200, 300, and VPBS 300
Water Heated by Heat Pump or Solar Energy
The NIBE VPB is a new generation of water heater that connects to both heat pumps and gas/liquid fuel boilers. This standalone water heater is available with a copper, enamel, or stainless steel lining (NIBE VPBS 300 is exclusively available with a copper lining) and has a capacity of 200 or 300 liters. This tank ensures you have the necessary amount of hot water or helps increase the performance of your existing system. The water tank consists of a steel reservoir with an internal copper lining for corrosion protection. Neoprene insulation provides excellent thermal insulation.
NIBE VPB 200 and the NIBE F1145 geothermal heat pump are designed for optimal synergy, featuring integrated internal piping.
NIBE VPBS is designed for homes with high hot water consumption. The large water heater tank is equipped with coils that utilize solar energy, guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply of hot water.

NIBE™ VPA/VPAS
Water Heated by Heat Pump or Solar Energy
Can be connected to a heat pump or a gas/liquid fuel boiler.
NIBE VPA stores hot water and can be used with any heat pump model that does not have its own integrated water heater, or when a large amount of hot water is required.
NIBE VPAS operates similarly but is additionally equipped with a solar loop, allowing solar energy to be used for both heating and hot water preparation. In both models, the hot water tanks are lined with copper or enamel for corrosion protection.
For maximum thermal insulation, the tank is fully covered with polyurethane.
NIBE VPA 300/200, 450/300, 300/450 models feature removable insulation for easier installation in confined spaces.
The NIBE VPA 200/70 water heater can be used with heat pumps up to 12 kW.
By connecting multiple water heaters together, you can supply hot water to larger buildings. Combined operation in one installation is provided for the following models: NIBE VPA 300/200, VPA 450/300, VPAS 300/450.

Water Heated by Heat Pumps, Diesel/Gas Boilers, or Electric Equipment
NIBE VPB are efficient water heaters designed for connection to multiple energy sources, including solar panels, heat pumps, and gas or liquid fuel boilers. The water heaters are available in three sizes and are suitable for homes with high hot water consumption.
Depending on the volume of hot water consumed by the building, the water heaters can be combined into installations. NIBE VPB water heaters can also be used with immersion heaters.
The water tank consists of a steel reservoir with an internal copper lining for corrosion protection. The water heater is equipped with a finned copper coil (NIBE VPB 1000 comes with two coils). Polyurethane insulation provides reliable thermal insulation.
The insulation and outer casing, made of grey plastic, are easily removable for maintenance, which is particularly convenient in confined spaces (tank diameter without insulation – 670/770/870 mm).

NIBE™ AKIL/ASIL
Hot Water Storage Tanks
NIBE AKIL 500 is a steel container for hot water with an internal copper lining, suitable for installation in cottages, rental homes, industrial premises, and recreational centers. It is an ideal choice for installation in large rooms with narrow passages and low ceilings.
The storage tank is designed for horizontal installation. Vertical stacking of up to 3 units is possible for increased capacity in spaces where other installations are problematic.
All connections are located on one side for convenient parallel connection.
NIBE AKIL and NIBE ASIL models are supplied with 40 mm insulation. The insulation on the sides and panels without connections is made of molded polyurethane, free of freon; the insulation of the panel with connections consists of two halves of cellular plastic.
Apartment buildings, sports halls, schools, etc., are characterized by low water consumption combined with short-term peaks of high demand. To limit hot water volume and boiler performance in such systems, NIBE AKIL 500 can be used in parallel with a separately purchased heat exchanger.

NIBE™ UKV 100, 200, 300, 500
Buffer Tank for Heating Systems
UKV has several application areas.
UKV can be used with external system control. The heat pump transfers free or fixed condensation to the UKV. External control regulates heat distribution from the UKV to the consumer.
If the flow of water in the heating system can be blocked, for example, by radiator thermostats, install the UKV as an intermediate tank. This ensures a reliable water supply to the heat pump.
UKV also allows more water to be supplied to the heating system than the heat pump itself.
In some installations, temperature changes can cause so-called thermal shocks. To avoid temporary temperature fluctuations and prevent such shocks, the UKV tank should be located below the heating unit.
Furthermore, UKV can be used to increase system capacity and prevent potential malfunctions.

Additional Equipment
The additional devices presented on this page are intended for use with large-volume tanks. The choice of device depends on the heat source. If you are using an external heat source, you will need NIBE PLEX; if you are working with a direct heat source, use a submersible heater.

NIBE™ PLEX
Heat exchanger for tap water. Max. working pressure 3.0 MPa. Max. working temperature 185 °C.
NIBE PLEX is a plate heat exchanger available in seven different models. The plates are made of acid-resistant steel (SS 23 43). The insulation consists of two halves of molded foamed polyurethane, 30 mm thick, equivalent to 70 mm of mineral wool. The surface layer is made of ABS plastic.
The NIBE PLEX external heat exchanger is intended for use with a hot water tank (e.g., NIBE EKS) that has provisions for connecting a heat exchanger.
Submersible Heater and Distribution Box
Electrical equipment for NIBE VPA, NIBE VPB, and NIBE EKS consists of a submersible heater and a distribution box.
- The submersible heater with a thread (3-phase) is made of copper and has several power stages.
- The distribution box, mounted on the submersible heater, rotates for easier cable routing. The box is equipped with a cable entry connector, a terminal block, a thermostat, and a temperature limiter with external access. Not exceeding 10.5 kW.
