Getting Started
Step 1: Power On
Connect the power cable to the camera, then to the power adapter, and finally to a power outlet. The LED indicator will flash red and blue when the camera is ready for setup.

Step 2: Camera Setup
1. Create a User Account
- Connect your mobile phone to Wi-Fi.
- Download and install the EZVIZ app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Launch the app and register for an EZVIZ user account by following the start-up wizard.
2. Adding a Camera to EZVIZ
- Log in to the EZVIZ app.
- From the EZVIZ app Home screen, tap the '+' icon in the upper-right corner to access the QR code scanning interface.
- Scan the QR Code located on the bottom of the camera.
- Enter the verification code found on the bottom of the camera.
- Enter the correct time zone and DST information, then tap "Finish" to complete the setup.

Step 3: Changing the Default Password
After adding the camera, it is recommended to change the device password to ensure video security. This password is used for Image Encryption. If enabled, you will need to enter this password for live view or playback.
- Navigate to the camera settings screen.
- Tap "Change Password".
- Tap "Edit".
- Enter the original verification code from the bottom of the camera.
- Enter your new password (6 to 12 characters, using letters and numbers).

Installation
Step 1: Installing the Metal Plate (Optional)
Choose a clean, flat surface and secure the metal plate using the included foam stickers or screws (not included). Note: The camera contains a magnet, so this step can be skipped if mounting to a metal surface.
Step 2: Installing the Camera
Secure the camera magnetically to the metal plate or metal surface.

Installing Memory Card
Insert a microSD card into the slot until it clicks.

Initializing Memory Card
- In the EZVIZ app, check the memory card status by tapping "Storage Status" in the Device Settings interface.
- If the status is "Uninitialized", tap to initialize it. The status will change to "Normal". You can then start recording events, such as motion detection.

Troubleshooting
Q: "Device is offline" or "Device is not registered" prompts appear.
A:
- Ensure the network the camera is connected to is working properly and the router's DHCP is enabled.
- Press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds to reset settings if network parameters were changed.
Q: Mobile phone cannot receive alarm prompts.
A:
- Ensure the EZVIZ app is running on your mobile phone.
- For Android: Ensure the app is running in the background. For iOS: Enable push notifications in "Settings > Notification".
Q: Can the camera be powered via USB or a portable battery?
A: It is advised to use the EZVIZ standard power adapter for a stable voltage supply.
