Safety and Compliance

  1. Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. Familiarize yourself with the operation, adjustments, and functions of switches. Understand and follow the safety and operation instructions to avoid possible risks and hazards. Keep for future reference. If you give this device to someone else, this instruction manual must be included.
  2. Do not leave the safe unattended while open.
  3. Keep children away from the safe.
  4. Keep your safe locked and closed at all times when not in use. Store the emergency keys in a secret and safe place.
  5. Place the product on a stable, secure place, possibly not elevated, lest it may fall over and suffer damages or cause injury to people.
  6. Remember to record the serial number of your safe. You will need this serial number for all warranty or customer service inquiries.
  7. Electronic media, photographic media, and all audio-visual media should not be stored in the safe for fire protection.
  8. Keep liquids away from the control panel and battery compartment. Liquids spilling over the electronic parts may cause damage and lead to malfunctioning.
  9. Never attempt to dismantle the product yourself.
  10. If maintenance is required, please contact the local service center or local distributor.

Battery Safety Advice

  1. Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced with one of the wrong types.
  2. Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type.

WARNING:

  1. Do not swallow the battery; there's a risk of chemical burns.
  2. The batteries (battery block or built-in batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat, i.e., direct sunlight, fire, or the like.
  3. If a battery gets swallowed, it can cause internal burns and lead to death within 2 hours.
  4. Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  5. If the battery compartment doesn't close properly, stop using the product and keep it out of the reach of children.
  6. If you think that batteries were swallowed or introduced into any part of the body, seek medical attention immediately.
  7. Leaking battery fluid may cause harm.
  8. If batteries should leak, remove them with a cloth from the battery compartment. Dispose of batteries according to the regulations.
  9. If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately after contact with the acid and wash with plenty of clean water. Visit a physician.
  10. Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
  11. Batteries may not be charged, re-activated by other means, disassembled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.

The safe consists of a main body with a door. The door has a control panel with a keypad, a display screen, a knob, and an emergency lock. Inside the safe are shelves. The battery compartment is located inside the door.

Opening the Safe for the First Time

NOTICE: To open the safe the first time, you will need to use the spare key. The default preset passcode is "159"; change it immediately.

  1. Remove the Emergency lock cover (5).
  2. Insert the backup key (13) into the keyhole and turn counterclockwise.
  3. Turn the knob (4) clockwise to open the door.
  4. Open the battery compartment (2) and insert 4 x AA batteries (not included).

NOTICE: When the yellow and green lights come on at the same time, open the battery cover (2) and replace the battery.

NOTICE: Do not mix old and new batteries.

NOTICE: Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.

NOTICE: In case of battery failure, an external power supply (5V) can be connected to the Type-C port (11) to power the safe.

Set Passcode

  1. Open the door and press the reset button (3). The safe will emit a buzzing sound, and the yellow light will stay on.
  2. Enter your desired passcode (must be 3-8 digits) and press the '#' key to store the password. There will be a buzzing sound, and the yellow light will turn off, indicating that your password has been successfully entered.

NOTICE: If you forget your code, you can use your backup keys (13) at any time to open your safe and reset the code.

NOTICE: Test the new passcode with the door open before closing the door.

To Replace the Batteries

If the yellow and green lights are both lit, it means the batteries need to be replaced. Follow the instructions for opening the safe. The battery compartment (2) is located inside the door. Open the battery compartment cover, remove the used batteries, and insert four new AA batteries. After replacing the batteries, test if the passcode is working properly before closing the door.

When the battery is depleted and the keypad cannot open the door, use the USB port (11) to connect a power bank for temporary power. You can then use the keypad to unlock the safe and replace the batteries.

Warning: Do not mix old and new batteries.

Warning: Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.

Unlocking the Safe

  1. Input your new passcode (3-8 digits).
  2. Press the '#' confirmation button (12). The green light (10) will illuminate. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob (4) clockwise to open the safe.
  3. If the yellow indicator light (8) flashes with 3 audible beeps, your passcode was not entered correctly. Please input your passcode again.

NOTE: If 3 invalid passcode attempts are made in succession, the keypad will beep, the yellow indicator (8) will flash for 23 seconds, and the user will be locked out for 23 seconds. You can still use your backup key (13) at any time to open the safe.

Locking the Safe

To lock your safe, simply close the door and turn the knob (4) counterclockwise.

Securing the Safe to a Floor or Wall

Select a stable, dry, and secure location for your safe. If bolting to a wall, ensure your safe is resting on a supporting surface (such as the floor or a shelf). Do not bolt your safe to both the floor and wall.

  1. Place the safe in the selected location. Use a pencil to mark the mounting holes on the floor or wall.
  2. Move the safe and drill 2.4-inch-deep (approx. 60 mm) mounting holes using a 10 mm drill bit.
  3. Insert the expansion bolt rubber sleeve (6) into the installation hole.
  4. Place the safe back in its original position, aligning it with the holes, and secure the safe in place using the fixing screws (6).

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. If necessary, wipe the outside and inside of the product with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Avoid contact with corrosive substances like acids, alkaline, or similar substances.

Disposal and Recycling

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.

Used batteries must not be disposed of through household garbage, as they might contain toxic elements and heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment and human health. Consumers are therefore obligated to return batteries to retail or local collection facilities free of charge. Used batteries will be recycled.

They contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of through household garbage.

The packaging consists of cardboard and correspondingly marked plastics that can be recycled. Make these materials available for recycling.

Warranty and Returns

Bonsaii offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for manufacturing defects. Returns are free and easy for manufacturing defects; otherwise, the customer is responsible for shipping fees. Sale items are also returnable.

If the product does not meet your expectations, email within 30 days of receipt for a return or exchange. Your original form of payment will be refunded in full upon completion of the return. After 30 days, orders may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, and all shipping and handling charges will be the customer's responsibility. Purchases from Bonsaii are non-refundable after 60 days.

If you receive a damaged product, notify Bonsaii within 48 hours of delivery. Bonsaii will investigate the claim and notify the freight company. Retain all packaging for inspection. These investigations may take several days, but merchandise replacements will be processed as soon as possible.

For products that arrive defective or damaged, please contact our Customer Support Team at support@bonsenglobal.com with your order number. You may need to provide a short video or pictures of the defects. If confirmed defective, a replacement will be sent immediately. If the product condition is misrepresented and not defective, you will receive instructions on proper usage.
