User and Installation Instructions

Safety Information

Read these instructions carefully. Keep them for future use. Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged during transport.

Use the appliance only:

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if supervised or instructed on the safe use of the appliance and if they have understood the risks involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Children are prohibited from carrying out cleaning and user maintenance. Keep children under 8 years of age and pets away from the appliance.

Connect and use the power adapter only according to the information on the rating plate. Connect and use the appliance only with the supplied power adapter.

If a residual-current device is used, use only a type with the symbol ?. Never power the appliance from an external switch, e.g., an external timer or remote control.

If the appliance is built-in, the power plug of the connection cable to the electrical mains must be freely accessible, or if the plug cannot be accessed freely, a disconnecting device must be installed in the fixed electrical installation in accordance with the installation regulations.

During the installation of the appliance, ensure that the power cable does not become trapped or damaged. Never bring the mains connection cable into contact with heat sources or hot appliance parts. Never bring the mains connection cable into contact with sharp edges. Never bend, crush, or modify the mains connection cable. Do not use extension cords or multiple sockets. Only use adapters and power cables approved by the manufacturer. If the power cable is too short and a longer power cable is not available, contact an electrician to modify the domestic installation.

Keep packaging materials away from children. Forbid children to play with packaging materials. Never operate a damaged appliance. Never pull the power cable to disconnect the appliance from the mains. Always pull the power plug. If the appliance or the mains connection cable is damaged, immediately pull the power plug or switch off the fuse in the relevant fuse box and call customer service.

Use the appliance exclusively in closed rooms. Never expose the appliance to excessive heat and humidity. Do not wash the appliance with steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, water hoses, or watering cans. Keep children away from small parts. Do not let children play with small parts.

Do not make any technical modifications to the appliance or its features. Only adequately trained and qualified personnel may carry out repairs on the appliance. Only original spare parts may be used for appliance repair. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance or switch off the fuse in the fuse box. Do not wash the appliance with steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, water hoses, or watering cans.

Prevention of Material Damage

Do not bend, crush, modify, or cut the water hoses. Use only the supplied water hoses or original spare parts. Never reuse used water hoses. Secure connection points correctly with hose clamps.

Remove the filter container from the appliance only for maintenance and reinsert it correctly. Never remove the filter container during operation. To remove microplastics from the filter container, use only the supplied scraper. Never knock the filter container against other objects to detach microplastic residues. Do not use corrosive or abrasive products. Do not use detergents with a high alcohol content. Do not use hard or abrasive sponges. Clean the appliance only with water and a soft, damp cloth. In case of contact, promptly remove all detergent residues, splashes, or other residues.

Installation and Connection

Unpacking the appliance:

  1. Completely remove all packaging materials and protective films from the appliance.
  2. Check that the appliance shows no visible damage.

Package Contents:

After unpacking, check that all components are present and undamaged from transport.

Disposal of packaging:

Packaging materials are environmentally friendly and can be reused. Dispose of individual parts separately according to material type.

Connecting the Appliance

Installation of the appliance:

The appliance can be placed on the washing machine or countertop, inside a cupboard, or next to the washing machine (See Fig. 2). Observe the following instructions for appliance installation:

Connecting the water inlet:

Connect the washing machine's drain hose to the appliance's water inlet at the rear (See Fig. 1/9) and secure it with a hose clamp. If a manifold is connected to the drain hose, remove it.

Connecting the drain hose:

  1. Connect the supplied drain hose to the water outlet at the rear of the appliance (See Fig. 1/10) and secure it with a hose clamp.
  2. Connect the drain hose to the siphon, sink, or plastic pipe with a rubber connector.

Types of drain hose connection:

Before using the appliance, ensure that the water drains quickly and that the seals are eliminated. Note: The pumping height must not exceed 100 cm from the floor. To avoid significantly extending the program duration, the water drain connection must not bend more than 10 cm. Use the supplied mounting accessories for securing.

Siphon (See Fig. 3):

Secure the connection point with a hose clamp (24-40 mm).

Sink (See Fig. 4):

Secure and lock the water drain connection with a manifold.

Plastic pipe with rubber connector (See Fig. 5):

Secure and lock the water drain connection with a manifold.

Connecting the appliance electrically:

  1. Connect the power plug to the power adapter by inserting and turning it clockwise (See Fig. 7).
  2. Connect the power adapter plug to the mains connection on the rear of the appliance (See Fig. 1/8).
  3. Insert the power adapter into a socket near the appliance.
  4. Check that the power adapter is securely inserted.

Basic Controls:

Once connected, the appliance is in standby mode. As soon as a wash program starts, the appliance switches on automatically. Note: Washing machine consumption values and program duration may vary depending on the appliance.

Status Indicator

The status indicator (See Fig. 1/2) provides information on the appliance's status and faults.

Status Indicator Information
Green, steady The appliance is ready for operation.
Green, flashing The appliance is in operation.
Red, flashing during operation The filter container is almost full.
Red, steady The filter container is full and must be emptied.
Red, flashing after emptying the filter container The filter container has not been inserted completely.
Alternating red and green flashing A cleaning program needs to be started.

Cleaning and Care

To keep the appliance in good condition for a long time, subject it to careful care and maintenance.

Emptying the filter container:

When the wash program has finished and the appliance's status indicator is red, empty the filter container. Note: The filter container is full after approximately 20 washes. Scan the QR code for an animation of the process.

  1. Grip the filter container by the handle and pull it forward (See Fig. 8).
  2. Dry the filter holder.
  3. Turn the filter cover clockwise and remove it from the filter container (See Fig. 9).
  4. Remove the scraper from the filter cover (See Fig. 10).
  5. Remove the contents of the filter container with the scraper and dispose of them in household waste. Note: Do not rinse the filter container with water to avoid polluting the wastewater with microplastics.
  6. Insert the scraper into the filter cover.
  7. Attach the cover to the filter container.
  8. Push the container into the filter holder from the front. ✔ The status indicator lights up green and emits a signal. Note: If the status indicator flashes red, the filter container has not been inserted completely.

Cleaning the filter mesh and rotating head:

If the status indicator lights up red after emptying the filter container in the next wash program, clean the filter mesh and the rotating head.

  1. Grip the filter container by the handle and pull it forward.
  2. Turn the filter cover clockwise and remove it from the filter container.
  3. Loosen the filter mesh by turning it counterclockwise, lift and carefully remove the central filter (See Fig. 11).
  4. Lift the rotating head and remove it (See Fig. 12).
  5. Clean the filter mesh and rotating head with a small commercially available brush and a damp cloth.
  6. Insert the rotating head.
  7. Insert the filter mesh (See Fig. 13). Align the dividing wall of the filter mesh with the dividing wall of the filter container.

Troubleshooting

Minor faults can be rectified by the user. Use the troubleshooting information before contacting customer service. This avoids unnecessary costs.

Never make technical modifications to the appliance or its features. Only adequately trained and qualified personnel may carry out repairs on the appliance. Only original spare parts may be used for appliance repair.

Water leaking or filter container full of water:

Reduced or no residue in the filter container:

The programs used produce few microplastics. No treatment necessary.

Filter mesh is damaged:

Check the filter mesh. In case of damage, contact customer service.

The washing machine indicates a pump error:

The appliance represents an additional aerodynamic resistance to the flow, which can be detected as an error. Check if the installation conditions are met. (See Page 8)

The wash program has been interrupted:

The program duration is significantly extended:

Noises at the end of the program:

No fault. The self-cleaning function of the appliance is active. No treatment necessary.

Transport, Storage, and Disposal

Dismantling the appliance:

Note: Keep a towel and a bucket handy to collect residual water.

  1. Disconnect the appliance's power plug.
  2. Disconnect the water inlet and drain connections from the appliance. If you want to continue using the washing machine, reconnect them correctly.
  3. Grip the filter container by the handle and pull it forward.
  4. Unscrew the two closures on the underside of the filter holder above the sink or bucket (See Fig. 14).
  5. Rotate the filter holder until the water is completely drained.
  6. Attach the two closures to the underside of the filter holder.
  7. Push the container into the filter holder from the front.

Disposal of a decommissioned appliance:

Correct disposal in compliance with environmental regulations allows valuable raw materials to be recovered. 1. Dismantle the appliance. (See Page 10) 2. Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner. For information on current disposal procedures, contact your specialized dealer or local authority.

This appliance bears the WEEE mark according to Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment. This directive defines the rules for the collection and recycling of decommissioned appliances valid throughout the European Union.
