General Safety Information
When using electrical appliances, observe basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury:
- Read all tips and warnings before use.
- Use only as directed by the Owner's Manual.
- Exercise caution when used near children.
- For indoor use only.
- Do not use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or other damp indoor environments. Keep away from water.
- Do not use near fireplaces or areas with flammable products or vapors.
Electrical Safety Instructions
- Designed for 110/120V outlets only.
- Turn off the unit before unplugging.
- Unplug when not in use and before servicing or cleaning.
- The unit has a polarized plug; insert it correctly into a polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug.
- Do not touch the unit or plug with wet hands.
- Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
- If the cord or plug is damaged, return the unit for examination and repair.
- Unauthorized repair attempts void the warranty and may cause injury or damage.
- Do not pull, carry, lift, or drag the unit by its power cord. Grasp the plug to remove it.
- Keep fingers, body parts, hair, jewelry, and loose clothing away from openings when the unit is plugged in.
Operation Guidelines
- Do not block the air intake and air outlet.
- Do not use on or around hot surfaces.
- Do not use in rooms with steam.
- Do not operate the unit on its side.
- Do not install in greasy or damp environments.
- Do not use detergent or soap for cleaning.
- Do not operate without filters.
- Do not wash and reuse filters except for the washable Pre-Filter.
- When transporting, always hold the unit by the handle on the back.
Remote Control Tips
- Inverter lighting or electronic fixtures may interfere with remote control signals.
- Avoid storing the remote control in direct sunlight, as heat may interfere with signals.
Installation Guidelines
- Maintain a distance of 3 ft. (approx. 0.9m) from equipment generating electromagnetic waves (TVs, radios, microwave ovens), as they may interfere with the digital display.
- Avoid placing the unit where the air intake or outlet could become clogged with dirt.
- Leave at least 2 ft. (approx. 0.6m) of space between the ceiling and the unit.
Meet Your MinusA2
Front View
The front of the unit features the Mood Light, a horizontal light strip. To the right is the Control Panel/Display Panel. Below the control panel are the Particle Sensor, Light Sensor, Air Quality Indicator, and Odor Sensor.
Back View
The back of the unit includes a Handle at the top, the Power Cord, a Unit Hanger, and the Air Outlet at the bottom.
Remote Control
The remote control has buttons for Power, Speed, Mode, and Mood Light.
The unit requires two AAA batteries.
Control Panel
The control panel allows you to manage the unit's functions:
- Power: Press and hold for two seconds to turn the unit on or off.
- Speed: Press to cycle through five speeds: Silent, Low, Medium, High, Turbo.
- Mode and Filter Reset: A dual-control button. Briefly press to change operation mode between Auto Mode and Pollen Mode. Press and hold to reset the Replace Filters Indicator.
- Mood Light and Negative Ion Generator: A dual-control button. Briefly press to turn the Mood Light on or off. Press and hold to turn the Negative Ion Generator on or off.
Indicator Lights
Various indicator lights provide information about the unit's status:
- Fan Speed Indicator: Shows the current fan speed (Silent to Turbo).
- Pollen Mode Indicator: Illuminates when Pollen Mode is active. The Mood Light color shifts (Blue-Purple-Light Purple-Pink).
- Auto Mode Indicator: Illuminates when Auto Mode is active. The Mood Light is a solid blue.
- Ion Indicator: Illuminates when the Negative Ion Generator is operating.
- Sleep Mode Indicator: Illuminates when the unit is operating in Sleep Mode.
- Replace Filters Indicator: Illuminates when it's time to replace filters. Press and hold the Mode/Filter Reset button for three seconds after replacement to clear it.
- Air Quality Indicator: Displays current air quality. Colors shift from blue (good) to purple, light purple, and red (poor) based on contaminant levels.
- Mood Light: Displays operational status with colors: blue for Auto Mode, and a shifting spectrum (blue-purple-light purple-pink) for Pollen Mode.
Meet the Filters
The MinusA2 Air Purifier uses a multi-stage filtration system:
- Pre-Filter: The outermost, washable filter that captures larger particles.
- Medium Filter: Captures smaller particles.
- BioGS HEPA Filter: Captures fine particles, allergens, and pollutants.
- Customized Filter: Tailored to specific needs (e.g., Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy, Germ Defense, Odor Remover).
- Charcoal Based Activated Carbon Filter: Absorbs odors and VOCs.
Let's Begin - Initial Set Up
Filters are packaged in plastic to maintain quality. Remove them before use.
- Remove the front panel by lifting from the bottom and pulling up.
- Grasp the handles on both sides of the filter case and pull it forward. Lay the filter case on a flat surface.
- Pull the tabs on the front of the Pre-Filter to remove it.
- Remove the white Medium Filter from its frame, discard the plastic wrapping, and return the filter to its frame.
- Remove the HEPA Filter and discard its plastic wrapping.
- Remove the empty Customized Filter frame. Take the Customized Filter (set aside earlier), remove its plastic wrapping, and insert it into the frame, ensuring the front faces up. Refer to the Customized Filter chart for identification.
- Pull out the Activated Carbon Filter and discard its plastic wrapping.
- Return the filters to the filter case in order from back to front: Activated Carbon Filter, Customized Filter, BioGS HEPA Filter, Medium Filter, Pre-Filter. (Refer to diagram on page 9).
- Return the filter case to the unit: slide the bottom of the case back into the unit, then press the top in.
- Reattach the front panel by latching the top hooks, then securing the bottom.
Know Your Customized Filter!
Identify your customized filter by its front and back colors:
- Toxin Absorber: Front color: Purple, Back color: Black.
- Pet Allergy: Front color: Purple & Orange, Back color: Orange.
- Germ Defense: Front color: Purple & Yellow, Back color: Yellow.
- Odor Remover: Front color: Black (thicker fabric like material), Back color: Black.
Operation Modes
The MinusA2 offers several operating modes:
- Auto Mode: The unit starts automatically. The Mood Light is solid blue. The Air Quality Indicator changes color, and the fan speed adjusts automatically based on air quality. Sleep Mode activates if the room is dark for 3 minutes.
- Pollen Mode: Press the Mode/Filter Reset button briefly. The Mood Light color shifts (Blue-Purple-Light Purple-Pink). Fan speed adjusts based on air quality. Sleep Mode activates in darkness.
- Manual Speed Selection: Press the Speed button to manually select between Silent, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo. The Mood Light is solid blue. Sleep Mode activates in darkness.
Mode Selection (Pollen Mode or Auto Mode)
After turning on the unit, briefly press the Mode/Filter Reset button to select your desired mode: Pollen or Auto. The unit will start up in the last mode used when reactivated.
Filter Reset
The Replace Filters Indicator illuminates when filters need changing. After replacing filters, press and hold the Mode/Filter Reset button for three seconds, or until the indicator clears.
Sleep Mode with Light Sensor
The unit's Light Sensor detects room brightness. If the room is dark for 3 minutes, the unit automatically switches to Sleep Mode, and the Sleep Mode Indicator illuminates. In Sleep Mode, the Mood Light and Air Quality Indicator turn off. If the unit is in Auto Mode during Sleep Mode, the fan speed defaults to silent for energy saving.
Changing the Sensitivity Level of the Sensors
You can adjust the sensitivity of the air quality sensors, which are preset to a standard level.
- Press and hold both the Speed and Mode buttons for three seconds. The Air Quality Indicator and Auto Mode Indicator will blink.
- Press the Speed button to choose the sensitivity level:
- Replace Filters: Low sensitivity
- Pollen Mode: Standard sensitivity
- Auto Mode: High sensitivity
- Press and hold the Speed and Mode buttons for three seconds to save the setting. If no action is taken for ten seconds, the last selected level is saved automatically.
Mood Light Operation
The Mood Light indicates the current operation mode:
- On/Off: The Mood Light turns on automatically when the unit is powered on. Briefly press the Mood Light button or use the remote to turn it on or off.
- Color Indication: Auto Mode displays a solid blue light. Pollen Mode shifts through blue, purple, light purple, and pink.
Negative Ion Generator
Press and hold the Mood Light & Ion on/off button for three seconds to switch the Negative Ion Generator on or off. The Ion indicator light will illuminate when the generator is active.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
Cleaning the Particle Sensor
Clean the particle sensor every three to six months. Clean the air intake and outlet using a vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
- Open the particle sensor cover on the right side of the unit (when facing it).
- Use a damp cotton swab to clean and dry the lens, dust inlet, and dust outlet.
Cleaning the Unit Surface
Wipe the unit surface with a clean, dry cloth. Use a damp cloth for stubborn stains or buildup. Avoid commercial cleaning products.
Cleaning the Air Intake and Outlet
Clean with a soft brush. Caution: Be careful not to drop the brush into the unit.
Cleaning the Front Panel
- Remove the front panel and dust it with a dry cloth or soft brush.
- Use a damp cloth for stubborn stains or buildup. Avoid commercial cleaning products.
Cleaning the Mood Light Lens
- Remove the front panel and dust the mood light lens on the back of the panel with a dry cloth, soft brush, or cotton swab.
- Use a damp cloth for stubborn stains or buildup. Avoid commercial cleaning products.
Cleaning the Pre-filter
- Vacuum Method: Remove the front panel. Run a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle or brush attachment on low power along the Pre-Filter to remove visible particles.
- Washing Method: Remove the Pre-Filter. Wash gently in lukewarm water for 2-3 minutes until clean. Rinse with clean tap water. Towel dry excess water. Allow the Pre-Filter to dry for 12-24 hours. Place back into the air purifier when completely dry.

Replacing Your Filters
Always unplug the unit before cleaning or replacing filters.
- Replacing the Pre-filter: This is a permanent, washable filter. Pull the tabs on the front to remove it. Set aside while replacing other filters. Clean monthly.
- Replacing the BioGS HEPA Filter: Replace every 12 months. Discard the old filter. Remove the new filter from its plastic wrapping and place it in the filter case.
- Replacing the Customized Filter: Replace every 12 months. Discard the old filter, but keep the filter holder. Remove the new filter from its wrapping and place it in the black frame, ensuring the front faces up (refer to the Customized Filter chart).
- Replacing the Activated Carbon Filter: Replace every 12 months. Discard the old filter. Remove the new filter from its plastic wrapping and place it in the filter case.
- Replacing the Medium Filter: Replace every 12 months. Discard the old filter, but keep the filter holder. Open the new filter, discard the plastic wrapping, and secure the new filter in the black frame.

Wall-Mounting Your MinusA2 (Optional)
The MinusA2 Air Purifier can be wall-mounted using the approved Rabbit Air wall-mount kit.
Wall-Mount Installation Guidelines
- Ensure at least two feet (approx. 0.6m) of clearance from the ceiling and eight inches (approx. 0.2m) of clearance on either side.
- Be careful not to drop the front panel or filter case when replacing filters.
- Do not pull on the power cord.
- Ensure hanger screws are securely driven into wall studs.

Disclaimer for Installing Wall-Mounted Objects
Do not attempt installation if you do not understand the instructions. Contact a qualified contractor. Improper installation can lead to damage, injury, or damage to the air purifier. Energy efficiency is measured by the ratio between the model's CADR for Dust and the electrical energy it consumes (CADR/Watt).

Limited Warranty
Rabbit Air warrants the Air Purifier to be free from defects in material or workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase. To activate the warranty, complete and return the warranty registration within 30 days of purchase. Filters should be replaced with original replacement filters. Within the first 30 days, Rabbit Air will replace a defective unit at no additional cost and reimburse shipping charges. After 30 days, Rabbit Air's obligation is limited to repairing or replacing the defective unit at its discretion. The Limited Warranty does not cover replacement filters.
To obtain service, please contact Rabbit Air for a return authorization number and service center address. The return authorization number must be clearly written on the shipping box.
Your Limited Warranty remains in effect if:
- The unit is operated according to instructions.
- The unit is connected to a proper power supply.
- There is no evidence of tampering, mishandling, neglect, accidental damage, modification, or unauthorized repair.
- Warranty registration has been completed and returned.
Warranty Statement: The five-year warranty reflects confidence in product quality. Labor is included; Rabbit Air covers warranty work.
Limits and Exclusions
There are no express warranties beyond those listed. Rabbit Air shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. All express and implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the applicable warranty period. Some states may not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages or implied warranty duration.
