Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the P279.20X indoor and outdoor weather station. It covers its main functions, operation, settings, technical specifications, and environmental comfort indications.
The device features a main unit and a remote outdoor sensor, displaying time, date, temperature, humidity, and weather forecasts.
Main Functions
- Five function keys: MODE, UP, DOWN, MAX/MIN, SNZ.
- Four types of weather forecast: sunny, slightly cloudy, cloudy, and rainy.
- Time and calendar display.
- Temperature display format: °C/°F.
- Indoor temperature range: -9.9°C to 50°C (14.2°F to 122°F) with an accuracy of ±0.1°C.
- Outdoor temperature range: -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F).
- RF outdoor temperature: Supports up to 3 different RF channels simultaneously.
- Indoor humidity range: 20% to 95% with an accuracy of 1%.
- Indication of environment comfort (Dry, Comfort, Humid, No display).
- Moon Phase display.
- Alarm and snooze function.
Operation Instructions
Common Mode
- Press "MODE" once to view time and alarm settings.
- Press and hold "MODE" to enter setting mode.
- Press "MAX/MIN" to view maximum and minimum temperature and humidity.
- Press "UP" to cycle through temperature channels (CH1 → CH2 → CH3).
- Press and hold "UP" to clear current channel temperature and receive RF signal.
- Press "DOWN" to switch temperature display between °C and °F.
Time Setting
- Press and hold "MODE" to enter time setting mode.
- The setting item will flash at 1Hz frequency.
- Settings sequence: Year → Month → Day → 12/24HR format → Hour → Minute.
- Press "MODE" to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Press "UP" to increase value (hold for faster increase).
- Press "DOWN" to decrease value (hold for faster decrease).
- Moon phase and week display update automatically with calendar changes.
- Settings are saved automatically after 8 seconds of inactivity.
Alarm Setting
Alarm Time Setting
- Press "MODE" to switch to alarm mode.
- Press and hold "MODE" to enter alarm setting mode.
- The setting item will flash at 1Hz frequency.
- Settings sequence: Hour → Minute → SNZ time (1-20 minutes, default 5 minutes).
- Use "UP" and "DOWN" to adjust values, holding for faster adjustment.
- Press "MODE" to confirm and proceed.
- Settings are saved automatically after 8 seconds of inactivity.
- Press "UP" in AL display mode to turn the alarm ON/OFF.
Alarm Buzzer Format
- The buzzer sounds for 2 minutes in alarm format:
- 0-10 seconds: single beep per second.
- 10-20 seconds: double beep per second.
- 20-30 seconds: four beeps per second.
- After 30 seconds: continuous beeping.
Snooze Function
- Press "SNZ" when the alarm sounds to snooze for 5 minutes.
- Press any other key to exit the alarm.
- If snooze is active, the alarm will sound again after the snooze period.

Environment Comfort Indication

- Comfort: Temperature between 20°C and 28°C, humidity between 40% and 70%.
- Humid: Any temperature, humidity above 70%.
- No display: Temperature outside 20°C-28°C range, humidity between 40% and 70%.
Weather Forecast
- Indicates weather trend for the next 24 hours.
- Four types: sunny, slightly cloudy, cloudy, rainy.
- Test period: 30 seconds.
- Forecasts are for reference only.
Power On
- Upon power on or reset, the LCD displays all segments for 3 seconds with a "BI" sound, entering normal mode and testing temperature/humidity.
- Default alarm: 7:00.
- Default temperature format: °C.
- Default time format: 24HR.
- Default weather forecast: slightly cloudy.
- Default calendar: 0:00, January 01, 2008.
RF Receiving Function
- After power on and temperature measurement, the device automatically scans for RF signals for 3 minutes, with a blinking RF symbol.
- In normal mode, press and hold "UP" for 2 seconds to clear current channel temperature values and update them.
- If a registered channel does not receive an effective signal from the same ID code for 60 minutes, the channel will display "--.--". The device will then scan for RF for 3 minutes and quit if a signal is received. If no RF signal is received within 3 minutes, it exits RF scan mode and continues scanning hourly until a signal is received, unless reset.
