Ensure the dehumidifier is always kept in an upright position to avoid internal damage. After unwrapping, set it upright and let it sit for 24 HOURS before plugging it in.

General Safety Precautions
- Designed for indoor use only; not for public transport.
- Avoid placing on soft, shaky, or uneven ground to prevent vibration.
- Verify voltage matches your electrical supply. Use a properly grounded outlet; avoid extension cords or power strips.
- Empty the water tank before turning on to prevent overflow.
- Do not contact water; the dehumidifier is not waterproof.
- Ensure the drain hose runs downward without bending or winding for continuous drainage.
- Do not remove the water tank while the unit is operating.
- Unplug the unit before cleaning or packing. Grasp the plug firmly, not the cord.
- For damaged cords, contact the manufacturer or certified technicians.
- Do not dismantle or modify the device without professional certification.
- If not used for an extended period, unplug the unit.
- Keep away from direct sunlight, heat-generating devices, and flammable materials (stoves, gasoline).
- Avoid sitting, standing, or placing heavy objects on the device.
- No pesticides or flammable liquids near the device.
- Do not insert fingers or objects into air inlet/outlet grilles.
- Stop and unplug immediately at any sign of malfunction.
- Keep the appliance upright during transit. After transport, place upright and leave unplugged for at least 6 hours before use.
- Do not tilt the device to prevent spilled water.
- Always empty the water tank before moving or lifting.
- Children aged 8+ and individuals with reduced capabilities should use under supervision. Children under 8 should not tamper.
- Use a soft cloth for cleaning; avoid splashing water directly.
- Use neutral detergents; alcohol, gas, benzene, and chemical solvents are prohibited.
WARNING:
- Do not use means to accelerate defrosting or cleaning other than manufacturer-recommended methods.

Position the Dehumidifier
- Operational temperature range: 41°F to 95°F (5-35°C). Operation outside this range may cause damage. Do not place in areas with temperatures outside this range.
- Ensure at least 18 inches clearance from walls or other objects to avoid obstructing air vents. (Diagram shows 18 inches clearance on sides and above).
- Position, operate, and store in an area with a minimum space of 43 sq. ft.

Features
- 24-Hour Timer ⏱️: Schedule automatic turn on/off within 24 hours. Can set to cease operation or start dehumidification.
- Auto Defrosting ❄️: Automatically detects and addresses frost build-up on coils for energy efficiency in low temperatures. Compressor stops, fan continues; normal operation resumes after defrosting.
- Smart & Efficient Humidity Control ?%: Built-in humidity sensor detects space humidity. Pauses operation if humidity falls more than 5%RH below preset level. Resumes when humidity rises above target by 5%RH.
- Continuous Dehumidifying: Press the [-] button until "C0" symbol appears for continuous operation regardless of humidity level.
- Child Lock ?: Prevents unintended operation. Activate by holding [-] and [+] buttons together for 2 seconds. "LC" symbol appears. Repeat to deactivate. Buttons are disabled under child lock.
- Full Tank Protection ?: Features full tank alarm and automatic shut down to prevent overflow. When the tank is full, the indicator light flashes red, "PI" symbol appears, and the unit beeps five times. The dehumidifier cannot be turned back on until the tank is emptied and properly placed. The full tank indicator will also flicker red if the tank is not properly positioned.
- Filter Cleaning Reminder ⚙️: After 250 hours of operation, the Filter indicator flashes to remind you to clean the air filter. Press and hold the [⚙️] button for 3 seconds to reset the reminder after cleaning and reinstalling.
Operation Instructions
- Power On/Off ▶️/⏹️: Plug into a power outlet; indicator lights and LED display briefly illuminate. Press [] to turn on/off.
- Power-Off Memory Function: In case of power interruption, the dehumidifier automatically restarts and resumes operation once power is restored.
- Humidity Setting ?%:
- Once turned on, the unit displays ambient humidity. Press [+] or [-] to enter humidity setting mode; target humidity flashes.
- Press [+] or [-] again to adjust target humidity in 5% increments (30% RH to 80% RH).
- Wait 3 seconds; the set value flashes twice, then exits setting mode, showing current room humidity.
- Fan Speed Adjustment ?: Press the [?] button to switch between Low, Med, and High speeds. Corresponding indicators illuminate.
- Timer Setting ⏱️:
- Programmed Shut-down: Press [] to access timer setting ("0.0" displayed). Adjust duration from 1 to 24 hours using [+] or [-] (0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments). Timer indicator remains illuminated. To cancel, press Timer button twice.
- Programmed Start-up: In standby mode, press [] to set an auto-on timer. Press [] and select duration using [+] or [-]. Timer indicator remains lit. Auto-on timer restores previous humidity settings. Holding [+] or [-] allows continuous adjustment.
- Pump Setting (ONLY for Pump Model: CHWA150PA): Press and hold the [?] button for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate the pump. The "P/ indicator illuminates when activated.
Pump/Tank Indicator Status for Pump Model CHWA150PA:
- "P/ indicator steadily illuminated: Built-in pump is activated.
- "P/ indicator flashing red: Indicates a full water tank.
Note: Activating the pump does not mean it operates continuously. It drains only when the water level reaches a specific threshold.

Water Drainage
Water Tank Drain
A water tank collects water, enhancing mobility. Tank volumes: 5.5 L/1.45 Gal for CHWA80A/CHWA120A; 9 L/2.38 Gal for CHWA150A/CHWA150PA.

Full Tank Protection
A built-in floater triggers a sensor when the water tank is full, automatically shutting off the unit to prevent overflow. Ensure the tank is properly reinserted after emptying; otherwise, the floater may remain in the "full" position, and the unit will not resume operation.
Tank Cleaning
Recommended to empty and clean the water tank each time before use.
Cleaning Steps:
- Use both hands to grasp the tank by its connection points and slide it outward.
- Lift the tank handle and take it to a sink to pour water out.
- Put down the handle and place the water tank back into its compartment.
How to Remove the Spill-Proof Cover
- Align the locking tab with the release slot, wiggle the handle side to side to detach from securing brackets.
- Loosen two locking tabs on top, then four on the sides of the tank.
- Grip the cover through the opening and lift straight up.
Gravity Drain Option
Connect the drain port to a drain hose for continuous water outflow using the included gravity drain hose or a standard garden hose (NOT Included).

- Locate the drain port on the back. Hold the drain cap and turn counterclockwise to remove.
- Remove the drain plug from inside the port.
- Insert the included drain hose into the port and twist counterclockwise to secure.

Note:
- If no hose is connected, tighten the drain plug to prevent leakage.
- Hose should run smoothly downward and remain at least 3.94 inches lower than the drain port.
- Twisted, crooked, or blocked hoses can impede water flow and cause condensate to accumulate.
Pump Drain (ONLY for Pump Model: CHWA150PA)
The CHWA150PA model has a built-in pump and pump drain hose for upward or long-distance drainage.

- Locate the pump drain port on the back of the unit.
- Align the included pump drain hose with the port.
- Insert the hose all the way into the port until it clicks securely into place.
To disconnect: Do not pull the hose directly. Press the gray release tab on the port connector, then simultaneously pull the hose out.
Important Notes:
- After connecting, verify the pump is activated by checking if the Pump Indicator is illuminated.
- The pump will not drain immediately; it operates when the water tank reaches maximum level and stops when the water is drained to the minimum level.
- In case of power outage, the dehumidifier resumes previous settings, except for the pump. Reactivate the pump manually if needed.
Troubleshooting
If problems persist, disconnect the dehumidifier and contact Waykar Customer Service.

Maintenance & Cleaning
Unplug the dehumidifier before servicing or cleaning.
Exterior Cleaning
Use a soft, damp cloth with neutral detergents to wipe clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Do not spray water directly on the device. Pay attention to air inlets and outlets to remove dust or debris.
Filter Cleaning
The filter needs cleaning after approximately 250 hours of operation (indicated by the Filter Cleaning indicator light ⚙️).
- The filter is in the top compartment at the back.
- Locate the opening, tap, and gently pull the filter outward.
- Brush off dust/debris, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely (avoid direct sunlight).
- Insert bottom tabs into slots, then press down on the top until tabs snap into place.
Device Storage
For extended periods of non-use, follow these steps to preserve performance and lifespan:
- Unplug the unit and allow it to cool.
- Empty and clean the water tank, detach and clean the drain hose and port.
- Clean and dry the filter.
- Organize the power cord using the attached strap.
- Cover the device with a breathable cloth to protect it from dust.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Warnings Regarding the R32 Refrigerant
This dehumidifier contains R32, a flammable refrigerant. Operators and maintenance personnel must hold a valid certificate for safe refrigerant disposal. Repairs and maintenance must adhere to manufacturer guidelines and be supervised by qualified personnel.

Transportation, marking, and storage for units with flammable refrigerants:
- General: Information for units employing FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS.
- Transport: Additional regulations may apply for equipment containing flammable gas.
- Marking: Signs must comply with local regulations. Employers must provide training on safety signs. Pictograms should be simple and essential.
- Disposal: See national regulations.
- Storage: In accordance with applicable regulations or instructions. Storage package protection should prevent mechanical damage that could cause refrigerant leaks.
Requirements for operation, service, and installation manuals of appliances using flammable refrigerants:
- Qualification of workers: Manuals must contain information about required qualifications for maintenance, service, and repair. Procedures affecting safety must be carried out by competent persons. Examples include breaking into the refrigerating circuit or opening sealed components.
- Competence of service personnel: Information additional to usual procedures is required for appliances with FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT. Training is carried out by accredited national organizations or manufacturers. Achieved competence must be documented by a certificate.
Information and training:
- Training should cover substance of the following: explosion potential of FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS, POTENTIAL IGNITION SOURCES (lighters, switches, vacuum cleaners, heaters), safety concepts (ventilated vs. unventilated enclosures/rooms), and refrigerant detectors.
- Correct working procedures:
- Commissioning: Ensure sufficient floor area or correct ventilation duct. Connect pipes, perform leak test before charging. Check safety equipment.
- Maintenance: Portable equipment shall be repaired outside or in a specialized workshop. Ensure sufficient ventilation. Be aware of refrigerant loss/leaks. Discharge capacitors safely. Reassemble sealed enclosures accurately. Check safety equipment.
- Repair: Similar to maintenance. Be aware of refrigerant loss/leaks. Discharge capacitors safely.
- Brazing: Procedures include removing refrigerant, purging with nitrogen, leak testing, and reassembling sealed enclosures.
- Disposal: Ensure ventilation. Remove refrigerant according to regulations. Avoid ignition sources.
No ignition sources: Keep ignition sources (including smoking) far from work areas where refrigerant may be released. Survey area for flammable hazards. Display "No Smoking" signs.
Ventilated area: Ensure the area is open or adequately ventilated before and during work. Ventilation should disperse released refrigerant.
Checks to the refrigerating equipment: Electrical components must be fit for purpose. Follow manufacturer guidelines. For FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS, check refrigerant charge vs. room size, ventilation, secondary circuits, markings, and component protection against corrosion.
Checks to electrical devices: Include initial safety checks and component inspection. If a fault compromises safety, disconnect power until resolved. Temporary solutions are acceptable if operation must continue, but must be reported. Initial safety checks include discharging capacitors, ensuring no live components are exposed, and checking earth bonding continuity.
Repairs to sealed components: Disconnect electrical supplies before removing sealed covers. Use permanently operating leak detection if power is necessary. Replace sealed electrical components.
Repair to intrinsically safe components: Do not apply permanent inductive or capacitance loads without ensuring they meet equipment specifications. Replace intrinsically safe components only with manufacturer-specified parts.
Cabling: Check cabling for wear, corrosion, pressure, vibration, sharp edges, and environmental effects. Consider aging and vibration from compressors/fans.
Detection of flammable refrigerants: Do not use open flames (halide torch) for leak detection. Electronic leak detectors are acceptable but may require calibration for FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS. Ensure detectors are not ignition sources and are suitable for the refrigerant. Calibrate detectors in a refrigerant-free area. Set detectors to a percentage of the LFL and calibrate for the specific refrigerant. Detergents containing chlorine should be avoided as they can react with refrigerant and corrode copper pipes. If a leak is suspected, remove all naked flames. If brazing is required for a leak, recover or isolate refrigerant from the system.
Removal and evacuation: Conventional procedures are used for breaking into refrigerant circuits, but best practice is crucial for flammable refrigerants. Follow procedures for safe refrigerant removal, purging, evacuation, and oil draining.
Charging procedures: Ensure no contamination of refrigerants. Use shortest possible hoses. Keep cylinders in correct position. Earth the system before charging. Label system upon completion. Do not overfill. Pressure-test with purging gas before recharging. Leak-test upon completion and before leaving the site.
Decommissioning: Technician must be familiar with equipment. Recover refrigerants safely. Take oil and refrigerant samples if analysis is required. Ensure electrical power is available. Familiarize with equipment, isolate electrically, and ensure conditions are safe before proceeding.
- Mechanical handling equipment, personal protective equipment, and recovery equipment must be available and used correctly.
- Recovery process must be supervised by a competent person.
- Pump down refrigerant system if possible.
- If vacuum is not possible, use a manifold to remove refrigerant.
- Ensure cylinder is on scales before recovery.
- Start recovery machine per instructions.
- Do not overfill cylinders (max 80% volume liquid charge).
- Do not exceed cylinder working pressure.
- Ensure cylinders and equipment are removed promptly and isolation valves are closed.
- Recovered refrigerant must be cleaned and checked before charging into another system.
Labelling: Equipment must be labelled as decommissioned and emptied of refrigerant, dated, and signed. For FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANTS, labels must state this.
Recovery: Recommended to remove refrigerants safely. Use appropriate recovery cylinders, ensuring correct number and designation. Cylinders must have pressure-relief valves and shut-off valves. Empty cylinders should be evacuated and cooled. Recovery equipment must be in good working order with instructions. Consult manufacturer if in doubt. Calibrated weighing scales and leak-free hoses are necessary. Process recovered refrigerant according to local legislation. Do not mix refrigerants. Evacuate compressors/oils to remove flammable refrigerant. Do not heat compressor body with open flame.
