Operation Instructions
Setting Humidity
The humidity level can be set between 30%RH and 80%RH in 5% increments. When the unit starts, it detects and displays the current room humidity. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired humidity. The display will show the setting for 5 seconds, then revert to showing the actual room humidity. The dehumidifier automatically starts working if the room humidity is higher than the set value and stops when the desired humidity is reached (indicated by a flashing "DEHUMIDIFY" icon). Setting humidity to 30%RH activates continuous dehumidifying mode.
Timer Setting
The timer function allows setting an auto-start or auto-stop time in 1-hour increments, up to 24 hours. Press the "TIMER" button to select the time. Pressing and holding the button speeds up selection. Setting the timer to "00" is considered invalid. Successful timer setup is indicated by a light (e.g., ⑭ or ⏱️). Pressing the "TIMER" button again shows the remaining time, then the current humidity.
Speed Button
Control the fan speed by pressing the Speed button. Select High for quicker moisture removal or Normal for quieter operation when humidity is reduced.
Light Function Setting
Press the "Light" button to turn the LED panel backlight on or off. When the light function is on, only the "Power" and "Lighting" buttons may remain illuminated, with other backlight indicators off.
LOCK (2s)
Press and hold the "LOCK" button for 2 seconds to lock all other buttons on the control panel. Press and hold again for 2 seconds to unlock.
Power Off Memory Function
- The device automatically restores its working state after power is restored following an interruption.
- If the device was turned on and experienced a power interruption, it will retain previous setup parameters upon restart.
- If the device was turned off and experienced a power interruption, it will remain in the power-off status when turned back on.
Overflow Protection
When the water tank is full, the "WATER FULL" indicator light will flash, and the machine will automatically shut down until the tank is emptied and replaced. After emptying and replacing the tank, the indicator light will turn off, and the machine will restart.
Caution: Ensure the water tank is placed correctly to prevent false water full alarms.
Auto Defrost Feature
When the dehumidifier operates at lower temperatures, it automatically detects and removes frost. The fan runs at high speed during defrosting, and a defrosting symbol appears on the LED screen.
Display Status Description
- Standby Status: Only the "POWER" light is on.
- Timer Status: The TIMER indicator (e.g., ⑭ or ⏱️) lights up if the timer is set, flashes if checked/reset, and turns off on unsuccessful setup.
- Lighting Status: The Lighting button (?) is on, but other backlight indicators are off.
- Fan Speed: High-speed indicator (e.g., FAST ?) lights up for high speed; Low-speed indicator (e.g., SLOW ?) lights up for normal speed.

Instructions for Drying Clothes
The dehumidifier can be used to dry clothes in rainy weather.
- Step 1: Hang washed clothes in a small space like a cloakroom, bathroom, or storage room. Keep the unit away from water drips from the clothes.
- Step 2: Set the dehumidifier's humidity level to 30%RH. For best results, direct the air outlet towards the clothes.
The drying effectiveness depends on the thickness and quantity of clothes, and the size of the space. Drier results are typically achieved with fewer, thinner clothes and a smaller space. The drying process usually takes 3-8 hours. Continuous drainage mode is recommended for drying clothes.
Common Faults & Processing Methods
This section provides troubleshooting steps for common issues. If problems persist after exhausting these steps, contact Waykar Customer Service.
Problem | Reason | Method |
---|---|---|
Dehumidifier does not work | The power cord is unplugged. | Ensure the unit's plug is properly inserted into the power outlet. |
Is the Full Tank indicator blinking? (The tank is full or in a wrong position.) | Empty the water in the water tank and reposition it correctly. | |
Dehumidifier does not dry the air as it should | Room temperature is above 95°F (35°C) or below 41°F (5°C). | This product is designed for specific temperature ranges. The machine enters protection mode outside these ranges, which is normal. Wait for temperatures to be within the operating range (41°F - 95°F / 5°C - 35°C). |
Room temperature is between 41°F (5°C) and 68°F (20°C). | When running at lower ambient temperatures, the machine may automatically defrost. This is normal. It will resume dehumidification after defrosting is complete. | |
The dehumidifier is in the defrosting process. | The compressor stops during defrosting. Wait for the process to finish; dehumidification will restart automatically. | |
Is the room humidity lower or reaching the preset humidity level? (When the room humidity reaches the preset level, the dehumidifier enters Standby Mode and the indicator flashes.) This is to prevent frequent starting. Does the machine stop working just now? | Set the humidity 5%RH lower than the room humidity or set it to 30%RH. | |
Room humidity is low. | The dehumidifier is designed to work within a humidity range of 30%-80%. It will not work outside this range. | |
Dehumidifier does not dry the air as it should (cont.) | The air filter is dirty. | Clean the air filter. |
Is the air inlet or air outlet obstructed? | Remove any obstructions from the air inlet or outlet. | |
The dehumidifier size is too small for the application. | Increase the number of dehumidifiers or use a higher capacity model. | |
Poor air circulation. | Ensure at least 7.9 inches (20cm) clearance around the product. Allow sufficient time for moisture removal. For initial setup, allow 3-4 days to maintain the desired RH. | |
The room has not been sealed properly. | Check that all doors, windows, and other openings are securely closed. | |
Room temperature is too low, or below 41°F (5°C). The machine will not work or undergo poor dehumidifying efficiency in low temperature. | Wait until the temperature rises to above 41°F (5°C) or higher. | |
The dehumidifier makes loud noise when operating | The dehumidifier is not positioned levelly. | Move the machine to a horizontal position. |
Is there blocking around the air inlet? The air filter is clogged. Is the filter installed correctly? | Clean dirt or lint from the air outlet and intake. Check if the filter's packing bag was removed and if the filter is installed correctly. | |
Dehumidifier operates continuously | Check if the dehumidifier is in Continuous Mode. | Do not set the humidity too low. Typically, 40-50% is recommended. |
Room humidity is too high. Doors and windows are open. | Change humidity settings or use a higher capacity dehumidifier. Ensure doors and windows are closed. | |
Overflow of water on floor | Hose to connector or hose connection may be loose. | Connect the hose with the drainage port tightly. |
The water tank has not been installed properly. | Re-install the water tank properly. | |
The float of water tank has been stuck. | Move the float to allow it to swing freely. | |
The magnet on the float has come off. | Put the magnet in the correct position. |
Empty The Water Tank
Two methods are available for removing collected water.
Use The Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the "WATER FULL" indicator will light up, and the dehumidifier will automatically shut down until the tank is emptied and replaced.
Ways to Empty the Water Tank
- Pull the water tank out from the bottom with both hands.
- Open the cover of the water tank.
- Invert the water tank to empty the water.
- Close the cover of the water tank.
- Place the water tank back in its position. The "WATER FULL" indicator will go out.
[Diagram Description: A sequence of five illustrations showing the steps to remove, empty, and replace the water tank.]
Note on Water Tank Care
- Do not remove the float from the water tank, as this may prevent the sensor from accurately detecting the water level, potentially leading to overflow.
- If the water tank is dirty, clean it with cold or warm water only. Do not use detergents, steel wool, chemically treated cloths, gasoline, benzene, thinner, or other solvents, as these can damage the tank and cause leaks.
- When replacing the water tank, ensure it is pressed firmly into place. Improper placement may affect the operation of sensors and overflow protection.
[Diagram Description: An illustration showing the water tank with the float and the cover being removed.]
Continuous Drainage
To set up continuous drainage: Pull out the power supply, remove the water tank, open the draining cap, insert a water hose into the continuous drainage port, and then replace the water tank. Connect the power supply to start. The water hose outlet must be positioned more than 3.9 inches lower than the continuous drainage port and must not be bent. (Note: The diameter of the continuous drainage port is 0.63 inches.)
