Epilation Guide (Section A)
- Preparation: Ensure skin is clean and dry, free from creams or oils.
- Skin Tautness: Hold the skin taut with one hand.
- Angle and Direction: Hold the epilator at a 90° angle to the skin. Move slowly against the direction of hair growth.
- Leg Epilation: Epilate legs from bottom to top. Straighten the leg behind the knee for better results.
- Sensitive Areas: For underarms and bikini areas, which are more sensitive, start with Speed 1. Discomfort will decrease with regular use.
Shaving Guide (Section B)
The shaving head (8) is designed for quick and clean shaving of legs, underarms, and bikini areas. Use the trimmer attachment for contour trimming and hair up to 5mm.
- Shaving: Select the shaving head attachment (a).
- Trimming: Select the trimmer attachment (b).
- Hair Removal (up to 5mm): Use the shaving head with the comb attachment (c).
- Usage Note: Always use the device on dry skin and with Speed II.
Lighted Tweezers (Section 9)
The lighted tweezers are designed for precise removal of individual facial hairs, such as eyebrows.
- Operation: Remove the switch cover (9a). Press the on/off buttons on the switch (9b) to activate the light. Hold the tweezers against the hair and pull gently. Always straighten the hair against its growth direction. Do not use on moles.
- Battery Replacement (9c): Use a coin to unscrew the battery compartment cover (turn counter-clockwise). Remove old batteries and insert 3 new LR 41 batteries, ensuring correct polarity ('-' first). Secure the cover by turning it clockwise.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning of the epilation head ensures hygiene and optimal performance.
- Remove attachments (1 or 7) before cleaning.
- Brush Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush to clean the tweezers' mechanisms.
- Water Cleaning: After each use, especially if using gel, rinse the epilation head under running water. Briefly turn on the epilator while rinsing to help dislodge hair. Allow the epilation head to dry completely before reattaching.
- Shaving Head Cleaning: Gently tap the metal part of the shaving head on a flat surface to remove hair. Do not use a brush, as it may damage the metal foil.
- Lubrication: Lubricate the shaving head parts regularly, approximately every 3 months, for continued optimal performance.
Safety Precautions, Tips, and Warranty
General Safety
- Hygiene: Do not allow others to use your epilator.
- Power Cord: Use only the supplied cord. Do not attempt to replace or modify it.
- Wet Use: The device is safe for use in the bath or shower, but must be used without the cord.
- Children: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Avoid Contact: Do not let the epilator touch hair, eyelashes, or fabric to prevent injury or blockage.
Epilation Tips
- Skin Adaptation: If you are new to epilation, allow your skin time to adapt. Discomfort will reduce with repeated use. It is recommended to epilate once a week for the first month.
- First Epilation: Consider epilating in the evening to allow any redness to subside overnight. Apply a moisturizing cream after epilation.
- Hair Length: For best results, hair should be 2-5 mm long. If hair is longer, it is recommended to shave it first and then epilate 3-5 days later.
- Ingrown Hairs: Regular exfoliation, for example, using a loofah during showering, can help prevent ingrown hairs by removing the top layer of skin.
- Skin Reactions: Mild skin reactions like itching or redness are normal and temporary, especially during the first few uses. If irritation persists for more than 36 hours, consult a doctor.
- Contraindications: Consult a doctor before use if you have conditions such as eczema, wounds, skin infections, varicose veins, moles, weakened immunity (e.g., diabetes), pregnancy, or certain medical conditions like Raynaud's disease or hemophilia.
