RFTC-10/G System Temperature Controller
Systémový regulátor teploty
Characteristics
The RFTC-10/G is a simple system temperature controller designed for measuring room temperature using an internal sensor. Based on the set temperature, it sends commands to control heating systems. It can be used in two primary ways:
- To control an additional heat source (heater, oil radiator, radiant panel) in conjunction with multifunction switching units like RFSA-6x, RFUS-61, or RFSC-61.
- For temporary temperature correction (± 5 °C) within the program set in the system unit. This correction applies until the next scheduled change in the heating program.
It is compatible with system units such as the smart RF box eLAN-RF or the touch unit RF Touch.
Key features include:
- Manual control via buttons on the unit.
- Measured temperature range: 0 - 55 °C.
- Backlit LCD display showing current and set temperature, status (ON/OFF), and battery status.
- Battery powered (2x AAA batteries, included) with approximately 1 year of battery life depending on usage frequency.
- Flat rear side allows placement anywhere in the room.
- Range up to 100 m in open space. Signal repeaters (RFRP-20) or protocol components (RFIO2) can be used for insufficient signal strength.
- Communication uses the bidirectional INELS RF Control protocol.
- Available in various LOGUS90 frame designs (plastic, glass, wood, metal, stone).
Assembly / Mounting
Device and frame separately
- Using a screwdriver, snap off the moldings in the frame.
- Gently pull to remove the cover.
- Slide the batteries into the battery holders, observing polarity. The FW version appears for 1 second, followed by the current measured temperature.
- Snap on the cover.
- By pressing gently, snap the device with the frame into the lower part, ensuring the holders of the lower part go through the broken-out moldings in the frame.
- Remove the protective foil covering the display.
Device complete with frame
- Carefully pull off the insulation strip. The FW version appears for 1 second, followed by the current measured temperature.
- Remove the protective foil covering the display.
- By gently bending the lower part, snap the device out, being careful not to damage it.
- By pressing gently, snap the device into the frame, ensuring the broken-out moldings are along the sides of the device.
- By pressing gently, seat the device into the lower part so that the holders of the lower part go through the broken-out moldings in the frame.
Radio Frequency Signal Penetration
The signal penetration varies based on construction materials:
- Brick walls: 60-90%
- Wooden structures with plaster boards: 80-95%
- Reinforced concrete: 20-60%
- Metal partitions: 0-10%
- Common glass: 80-90%
Control / Operation
Control Buttons: Use the control buttons (up/down arrows) for adjustments.
Hidden PROG Button: This button is accessed using a programming tool or a thin, non-sharp object. It is used for accessing settings menus.
Temperature Adjustment:
- Press the control button (up or down) to switch to the set temperature display. The value will flash.
- Press the control buttons again to set the desired temperature.
- After 5 seconds of inactivity, the display reverts to the current temperature, and the set value is saved.
- The ON/OFF indicator shows the switching status of the actuator contact.
Temporary Temperature Adjustment:
- Press the control button (up or down) to display the set temperature. The value flashes.
- Press the control buttons to set the desired temporary temperature.
- A symbol appears for 1 second to confirm the temporary adjustment.
- This adjustment is terminated by a change in the heating program set in the system unit (e.g., RF Touch).
Time Display:
- The time display can be activated by pressing the 'A' button.
- The time format (12h/24h) depends on the system unit settings.
- The display reverts to the current temperature after 10 seconds or when the 'A' button is pressed again.
- If the connection with the RF Touch is not available, the time display shows '--:--'.
Display / Screen Explanation
- Signal strength indicator (1 bar = weak, 3 bars = strong). The symbol is not displayed if the controller is not programmed or cannot connect to the switching unit.
- Measured circuit temperature.
- Set circuit temperature.
- Circuit status indicator.
- Temperature / time indication (time is shown only with RF Touch).
- Battery status indicator: Appears only when battery power is low, indicating insufficient power for reliable communication.
- Locked for adjustment indicator.
- Confirmation of temporary temperature adjustment.
- Temperature units (°C/°F).
Programming and Control with RF Touch / eLAN-RF
Programming and controlling the RFTC-10/G with system units like RF Touch or eLAN-RF requires using the address listed on the back of the unit.
Programming with RF Touch:
- Press the hidden PROG button (using a programming tool) for 2 seconds to enter the Settings Menu.
- Unlock the RFTC-10/G for modification by pressing the 'DEV' button. Set 'DEV' to 'RFT' by pressing the 'DEV' button again. Confirm settings by pressing the 'A' button.
- Navigate the menu using the 'DEV' button to reach the address (XXXXXX). This address is fixed and corresponds to the one on the unit's rear.
- Use the 'DEV' button to cycle through menu options: TOP (measured temperature), OFS (temperature sensor offset), and BLT (backlight intensity).
- Adjust settings as needed (e.g., temperature offset, backlight intensity) following the steps outlined for programming with a switching element.
- Enter the RFTC-10/G address into the control unit (refer to the control unit's manual).
- Press the hidden PROG button to exit the Settings Menu. The device automatically returns to the basic display after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Programming with eLAN-RF:
- Follow similar steps as for RF Touch, but set 'DEV' to 'ELAN' in step 2.
- Enter the RFTC-10/G address into the control unit via the iHC application (refer to the control unit's manual).
Replacement of a Battery
- Using a screwdriver, remove the lower part of the device.
- Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, observing polarity. The FW version appears for 1 second, followed by the current measured temperature.
- Using a screwdriver, carefully pry off the molding and snap out the device from the frame.
- Using a screwdriver, gently slide the device out from the cover, being careful not to damage it.
- Snap on the cover.
- By pressing gently, snap the device into the frame, ensuring the broken-out moldings are along the sides of the device.
- By pressing gently, seat the device into the lower part so that the holders of the lower part go through the broken-out moldings in the frame.
Safe Handling
When handling the device outside its packaging, avoid contact with liquids. Do not place the device on conductive surfaces or objects, and avoid unnecessary contact with its components.

Warning
This instruction manual is intended for both installation and user purposes and is always included with the product packaging. Installation and connection should only be performed by qualified personnel who have thoroughly familiarized themselves with this manual and the device's functions, and who adhere to all applicable regulations. The trouble-free operation of the device also depends on its transportation, storage, and handling. If you notice any signs of damage, deformation, malfunction, or missing parts, do not install the device and return it to the seller. The product and its parts must be treated as electronic waste at the end of their lifecycle. Before starting installation, ensure all wires, connected parts, and terminals are de-energized. During mounting and maintenance, observe safety regulations, norms, directives, and professional standards for working with electrical devices. Do not touch energized parts of the device, as this poses a risk of electric shock. Due to RF signal penetration, ensure correct placement of RF components within the building. RF Control is intended for indoor use only. Devices are not designed for installation in outdoor or humid areas, nor in metal or plastic switchboards with metal doors, as this can impede RF signal transmission. RF Control is not recommended for controlling life-support or critical equipment such as pumps, electric heaters without thermostats, elevators, or hoists, as the radiofrequency signal can be shielded, interfered with, or the transceiver's battery may be depleted, thus disabling remote control.
