ELKO EP RFGB-40/MT Glass Touch Controller
Brand: ELKO EP
Product Overview
The ELKO EP RFGB-40/MT is an elegant glass touch controller designed for smart home automation. It features a slim profile, measuring only 8 mm in width, and is available in black or white glass variants.
This controller communicates using the Thread protocol, ensuring compatibility with other Matter-enabled devices. It offers 4 capacitive buttons, allowing users to control up to 4 independent devices or functions. Each button press (short or long) sends a set command, indicated by a red LED.
Installation is versatile, with a flat mounting base that supports mounting with screws, double-sided tape, or simply placing it on a table.
Power is supplied by two CR2032 batteries, offering an estimated lifespan of approximately 2 years depending on usage frequency. The device has a wireless range of up to 200 meters in open space.
Pairing the controller with actuators is achieved through a Matter-supporting border router (e.g., Apple HomePod Mini, Google Nest Hub, Samsung SmartThings Station) and a compatible Matter application.

Important Safety and Installation Guidelines
This instruction manual is intended for qualified installers and end-users. Installation and connection should only be performed by persons with adequate professional qualifications, who have read and understood this manual and observe all valid regulations.
General Safety Precautions:
- Ensure all wires and terminals are de-energized before starting installation.
- Never touch parts of the device that are energized, as this poses a risk of electric shock.
- The device is designed for indoor use only and must not be installed in humid spaces.
- Avoid installing in metal switchboards or plastic switchboards with metal doors, as this can impede RF signal transmission.
- Do not use RF Control for critical life-support or high-risk devices such as pumps, unthermostatted electric heaters, elevators, or hoists, as signal interference or battery depletion could disable remote control.
- Handle the product and its parts as electronic waste at the end of its lifecycle.
RF Signal Considerations:
Due to RF signal transmission, ensure correct placement of RF components within the building. Signal quality and strength depend on surrounding materials and placement. Avoid strong sources of radiofrequency interference.
Declaration of Conformity:
ELKO EP declares that the RFGB-40/MT type of equipment complies with Directives 2014/53/EU, 2011/65/EU, 2015/863/EU, and 2014/35/EU. The full EU Declaration of Conformity is available at: https://www.elkoep.cz/dotykovy-skleneny-ovladac-rfgb-40mt
