- ? DANGER of Burns
- Never touch the housing of the kettle (4) during or immediately after use. Always hold or carry the kettle (4) by the handle (8).
- When the water boils, hot steam escapes. Be careful not to burn yourself. Wear oven mitts if necessary. Turn the kettle (4) so that the steam is directed away from you.
- Note: The surface of the heating element remains hot after use.
- Clean the kettle (4) only when it has completely cooled down.
- Fill the kettle (4) with a maximum of 1.7 liters of water. Refer to the water level indicator (3). Overfilling can cause the water to boil over, leading to burns and material damage.
- Boil water only with the lid (10) closed. This prevents water from splashing out, which could cause burns and material damage.
- Do not open the lid (10) while heating water.
- ❗ WARNING for Material Damage
- The kettle (4) must only be used with its accompanying base (5).
- Do not place objects on the base (5).
- Operate the kettle only on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. If the kettle is not on a level surface, it may tip over due to the movement of boiling water, causing material damage and possibly burns.
- Never leave the kettle unattended while it is in operation.
- Unplug the kettle from the power outlet when it is unattended.
- ⚡ DANGER of Electric Shock
- If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
- Do not open the housing of the base (5); it contains no user-serviceable parts. Opening the housing poses a risk of electric shock.
- If you notice smoke, unusual noises, or smells, immediately switch off the kettle and unplug it from the power outlet. In such cases, the kettle must not be used again until it has been checked by a qualified technician. Never inhale smoke from a potentially burning appliance. If you accidentally inhale smoke, consult a doctor. Inhaling smoke can be harmful to your health.
- Ensure the power cord (6) cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot surfaces. After use, always wrap the power cord (6) around the cable storage on the base (5).
- Ensure the power cord (6) is not pinched or crushed.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply when unattended, before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning it.
- Never pull the plug from the socket by the power cord (6); always hold the plug itself.
- Immediately switch off the kettle if the kettle or the power cord (6) is visibly damaged. Unplug it from the socket and contact customer service.
- Connect the base (5) only to a properly installed, easily accessible socket whose mains voltage matches the information on the rating plate. The user does not need to do anything to switch the product between 50 and 60 Hz; it adapts automatically. The socket must remain easily accessible after connection so that the plug can be quickly removed in an emergency.
- No liquid should drip onto the power connection.
- Never immerse the base (5) in water or other liquids. If liquid gets into the base (5), immediately unplug it and contact customer service.

- ❗ WARNING: For the very first use, boil water twice and discard it (see the previous section "Commissioning").
- ❗ WARNING: Always use fresh water. Do not consume water that has been standing in the kettle (4) for longer than an hour.
Cable Storage
The underside of the base (5) has an integrated cable storage system. This allows you to adjust the length of the power cord (6) to suit your needs. When the kettle is not in use, you can shorten the cord to a minimum.
- Unwind the power cord (6) from the underside of the base (5).
- Place the base (5) on a flat, non-slip, and dry surface. Ensure the power cord (6) is routed through the designated recess on the underside of the base (5) to ensure a stable stand.
- ❗ WARNING: If the power cord (6) is not routed through the designated recess on the underside of the base (5), the base (5) and kettle (4) will not be stable. The movement of boiling water could cause the kettle to tip over, resulting in serious material damage and personal injury!
- Press the lid opening button (9) to open the lid (10).

- Plug the power plug into an easily accessible socket.
- Place the kettle (4) on the base (5) and press the ON/OFF button (7) down to switch on the kettle (4). The integrated indicator light in the ON/OFF button (7) will glow white. The kettle may make noises during heating; this is not a fault.
- ? DANGER of Burns: Turn the kettle (4) so that the steam is directed away from you. Otherwise, you could burn yourself. Boil water only with the lid (10) closed. Otherwise, the water may boil over, causing burns and material damage.
- As soon as the water boils, the kettle (4) switches off automatically. The ON/OFF button (7) returns to the upper position, and the indicator light goes out.
- Unplug the power cord (6) from the socket, remove the kettle (4) from the base (5), and pour out the water.
- ? DANGER of Burns: Never touch the housing of the kettle (4) during or immediately after use. Always hold or carry the kettle (4) by the handle (8). When the water boils, hot steam escapes. Be careful not to burn yourself. Wear oven mitts if necessary. Turn the kettle (4) so that the steam is directed away from you.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- ? DANGER of Burns: Wait until the kettle (4) has completely cooled down before cleaning it. Otherwise, you could burn yourself.
- ⚡ DANGER of Electric Shock: Unplug the kettle before cleaning. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock. Do not pour or spray liquids onto the base (5) and do not immerse it in water or other liquids. This could lead to short circuits, causing fire and electric shock hazards.
- ❗ WARNING for Material Damage: Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents or abrasive objects (e.g., scouring pads) for cleaning. This could damage the kettle.
- Rinse the kettle (4) inside with clear water.
- Clean the exterior surfaces of the kettle (4) and the base (5) with a slightly damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, apply a little dish soap to the damp cloth. Ensure no dish soap residue remains on the kettle (4) and base (5) before putting it back into operation. Dry the kettle (4) and base (5) thoroughly before next use.
- For removing stubborn stains inside the kettle (4), you can use a dish brush or bottle brush with a long handle.
8.1 Descaling the Kettle (4)
Over time, limescale can build up inside the kettle (4). This leads to energy loss and can shorten the kettle's lifespan. Therefore, you should remove limescale deposits as soon as you notice them.
- Use a descaler suitable for coffee machines and other household appliances. Follow the instructions provided with the descaler.
- After descaling, rinse the kettle (4) several times with plenty of clean water.
8.2 Cleaning the Filter (1)
The kettle (4) has an integrated filter (1) that should also be cleaned periodically. To clean the filter (1):
- Remove the cooled kettle (4) from the base (5).
- Press the lid opening button (9) to open the lid (10).
- Carefully reach into the kettle (4). Pull the filter (1) out of the guide on the spout (2) at the top and remove it.
- Soak the filter (1) for a few hours in a warm descaling solution for household appliances (e.g., for coffee machines) and then rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
- Reinsert the filter (1) by first inserting the bottom end into the guide on the spout (2). Slide the filter (1) down until it stops.
- Close the lid (10) by pressing it down.
