Installation Tips

• Choose a location for the solar panel with plenty of direct sunlight exposure. Do not install in a covered or shaded area. Performance is dependent on temperature and light exposure.
• Make sure to fully charge the camera battery pack. Refer to the product documentation for charging instructions.
• (Optional) To install the camera without any gaps between the device and the wall, drill holes to run the Solar Panel power cord through the wall.

Always be careful of existing wiring, pipes or other hazards when drilling. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, consult a licensed electrician or installer.

Installation

1. Set the Bracket to the desired mounting position.
2. Mark holes through the Bracket.
3. Using the included drill bit, drill holes where marked.
4. Using a screwdriver, secure the Bracket with the provided screws.
   • Optional: If mounting into drywall, use the provided drywall anchors.
5. To adjust the Bracket, loosen the Bracket adjustment ring by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Turn the Bracket's Threaded Ring counterclockwise to lower the Ring.
7. Twist the solar panel clockwise onto the Bracket.
8. Adjust the angle of the solar panel to receive direct sunlight, then tighten the Adjustment Ring.
9. Connect the Solar Panel cord to the desired adapter.

Connecting to a Camera

Connect Directly to a Camera

1. Run the Solar Panel cord to the camera.
2. Pull up the power port cover on the camera, and then connect the Solar Panel cord to the camera.

Connect the Adapter to a Camera

1. Connect the MicroUSB Adapter to the Solar Panel cord.
2. Run the Solar Panel cord to the camera.
3. Pull up the power port cover on the camera.
4. Connect the adapter to the camera power port.

Checking the Battery Status

Open the Lorex Home app, and then check the device battery status to ensure the Solar Panel is receiving enough light to power on the device.
