Installation Placement

Handling

The dryer requires at least two adults for handling and installation. When tilting, limit the angle to 12° backwards. Allow the dryer to stand for at least one hour after handling before connecting power.

Stacking Installation

This dryer can be stacked with compatible Panasonic washing machines using a Panasonic stacking kit (N-SK4). Contact Panasonic for the kit. Ensure the stacking kit is properly installed; do not stack without it. Avoid using the dryer on a platform above ground level when stacked.

Installation Placement and Product Dimensions

Ensure adequate space around the dryer:

Install on a flat, solid surface to minimize vibration. Avoid direct sunlight or freezing temperatures. Do not block the bottom opening. Ensure no metal contact between the dryer and other metal surfaces. Remove all packaging materials before use. Verify your home's power supply meets the dryer's specifications (220-240V).

Never use an extension cord or multi-pin socket.

Installation

Panasonic is not responsible for issues arising from improper installation, inspection, or test runs.

Drain Hose Connection

Condensed water can be drained directly using the provided drain hose. Ensure the hose is correctly connected to prevent water leakage. The highest point of the hose should not exceed the top cover. Do not submerge the hose end in water.

Post-Installation Inspection

Level Adjustment

Ensure the dryer is level and stable by adjusting the feet using a level meter. Adjust feet by turning them.

Installation Confirmation

Verify the following:

  1. Installation site is flat and solid.
  2. Adjustment feet are securely installed.
  3. Power cord is connected to a separate, dedicated 10A, 220-240V AC socket.

Perform a test run without clothes:

  1. Insert the power plug.
  2. Close the dryer door.
  3. Press the Power button, then the Start/Pause button. Check for abnormal noise or operation.

Pre-Operation Inspection

First-Time Use

Ensure the power supply is connected and the drain hose (if used) is properly installed.

Sorting Clothes

Sort clothes by fabric type and care instructions for optimal drying and to prevent damage. Dry items of similar fabric and thickness together.

Preparing Clothes

Operation Method

Tips on Clothes Care

Load clothes evenly into the drum, ensuring they fit without overstuffing. Distribute thick and thin items evenly.

If Clothes Shrink

Gently pull shrunken clothes to their original size on an ironing board, pin them, steam them, and allow them to dry naturally.

Drying Process

  1. Open the door and load clothes evenly. Do not overstuff.
  2. Close the door and press the Power button.
  3. Select the desired program, dry level, and any additional functions.
  4. Press the Start/Pause button to begin.

Attention: Ensure clothes are not caught in the door.

After Drying

Remove clothes promptly after the cycle ends to prevent wrinkles and deformation. The dryer may continue to tumble for a period after the cycle finishes, especially with the Easy Iron function.

Drying Rack Usage

The drying rack is required for the 'Wool' program to prevent pilling and shrinkage. It can also be used for items not suitable for tumbling, with 'Warm Air' or 'Cool Air' programs.

Installation: Place the rack in the designated slots and hang it on the hooks inside the drum. Remove any protective sponge or tape from the hooks before first use.
