Important Safeguards

1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or motor unit in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. This appliance should never be used by children.
4. To disconnect, remove plug from outlet. Unplug when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact Customer Service (see warranty) to return for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of appliances not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or contact hot surface, including the stove.
10. Never place fingers or other utensils into feed or discharge areas.
11. Check ice shaver for presence of foreign objects before using.
12. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
13. Be certain COVER is securely locked in place before operating appliance. Do not attempt to defeat the COVER interlock mechanism.
14. Do not use extension cord.

Save These Instructions

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. No user-serviceable parts inside. Power unit never needs lubrication. Do not attempt to service this product. Do not immerse in water or other liquid. Any servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Polarized Plug

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, do not use that outlet.

How to Use Your Igloo Ice Shaver

1. Clean all components prior to first using (See HOW TO CLEAN YOUR IGLOO ICE SHAVER).
2. Lift the POWER PUSH BUTTON LID and place 4 - 6 ice cubes into the unit, leaving about 1 inch from the top.
3. Place a wide-mouth cup under the ice chute to catch the shaved ice.
4. Plug unit into electrical outlet.
5. Be sure that the top and bottom housings are properly aligned. If the housings are not aligned correctly the unit will not activate.
6. NOTE: Never move the housing when in use.
7. Place a cup underneath the chute. Press the POWER PUSH BUTTON LID at the “PUSH” position to start making shaved ice.
8. Clean all excess ice/water from unit after use. (See HOW TO CLEAN YOUR IGLOO ICE SHAVER).
9. NOTE: Occasionally ice may build up and will get lodged in the chute. If ice is not coming out of the chute gently shake the unit to ensure the ice is not frozen together.
10. CAUTION: Do not allow children to operate this appliance. The Ice Shaver is for household use only. Do not attempt to sharpen the BLADE.

How to Clean Your Igloo Ice Shaver

CAUTION: The stainless steel BLADE is very sharp. Never attempt to touch the tip of the BLADE when operating, assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.

1. Make sure the unit is unplugged.
2. Unlock COVER by pressing the COVER RELEASE PUSH BUTTON located on the back side of the unit. Lift to remove.
3. To remove DASHER, turn the UPPER HOUSING slightly clockwise until it clicks. This will indicate that the gears are locked in place. Unscrew DASHER by turning counter-clockwise.
4. Remove UPPER HOUSING by further turning clockwise and lifting.
5. Wipe down all parts and surfaces with a clean damp cloth.

CAUTION: Do not immerse unit in water.

To reassemble: Reverse the above procedure making sure that the UPPER HOUSING is locked and aligned with the LOWER HOUSING.

Snow Cones

Make the ultimate snow cones by simply filling a snow cone cup with fluffy snow. Pour your favorite syrup over and enjoy!

Rainbow Parfait

Start shaving ice into a large parfait style glass. Add one flavor to the bottom layer of ice. Shave the second layer of ice directly into the glass and pour a different colored syrup over. Finish by shaving more ice over the second layer and top it with your favorite syrup.

Soft Drink Slush

Shave ice into large glass and simply add your favorite soft drink to create this cool and refreshing slush.

Fruit Juicy Snow

Shave ice into large glass and add your favorite fruit juice. Lemonade, orange, apple, grape and cranberry juice make great snow treats. It's healthy, delicious and a non-fat treat.

Frozen Yogurt Delight

Freeze your favorite flavored yogurt in ice cube trays. Shave the frozen yogurt cubes into a tall glass and add your favorite snow cone syrup for added flavor.

Icy Cold Milk Shakes

Freeze chocolate or regular milk in ice cube trays. Shave frozen cubes into glass. Add 1/4 cup chocolate or regular milk to shaved ice and stir.

Breakfast Avalanche

Pour 1/4 cup of orange juice and 1/4 cup of pineapple juice over a bowl of shaved ice. Mix with fruit cocktail or chopped fresh fruit for a delicious morning treat.

Super Berry Smoothies

Freeze 1/2 cup of milk in ice cube tray and then shave into bowl. Add 1 cup of fresh strawberries or raspberries and 1/4 cup sugar for extra sweetness. Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.

1 Year Limited Warranty

Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively "JCS") warrants that for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.

This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.

What are the limits on JCS's Liability?

JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition.

Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.

JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise.

JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by any other party.

Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from province to province, state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
