This document provides fitting instructions for the GDW tow bar system (Ref. 1363) designed for the Hyundai Getz, manufactured from September 2002 onwards.

Fitting Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for correct installation:
- Disassemble the bumper and remove the buffer beam.
- Place the mounting plate (e) on the right side, aligning points (B) with the threaded holes on the outside of the chassis beam. Insert bolts and washers but do not tighten fully yet.
- Position the tow bar, aligning points (A) with the threaded holes on the inside of the chassis beam. Ensure points (C) and (C') of the tow bar align with points (C) and (C') of the mounting piece (e). Insert the necessary bolts, washers, and nuts, and tighten all securely.
- Remove a small section from the vertical edge of the buffer beam (on both left and right sides, as shown in the photo). Make an incision on the underside of the bumper according to the enclosed sketch. Assemble the bumper with the buffer beam over the tow bar and tighten securely.
- Install the component marked (*) and tighten it firmly.
Important Notes:
- Consult your vehicle's dealer or owner's manual for the maximum permissible towing mass.
- Remove any bitumen coating or anti-vibration material from the fastening points before installation.
- When drilling, exercise caution to avoid damaging brake lines, electrical wiring, or fuel lines.

All bolts and nuts are quality 8.8.
Technical Specifications & Diagrams
Bumper Cut-out Description
A section of the bumper needs to be cut away. The diagram indicates:
- B: The bumper.
- O: The lower rim of the bumper.
- M: The middle of the bumper.
The area to be cut is the hatched/shaded region.
