Schneider Electric KNX Multitouch Pro
This document provides installation instructions and technical data for the Schneider Electric KNX Multitouch Pro.
Safety Information
DANGER: HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR ARC FLASH
Safe electrical installation must be carried out only by skilled professionals. Skilled professionals must prove profound knowledge in the following areas:
- Connecting to installation networks
- Connecting several electrical devices
- Laying electric cables
- Connecting and establishing KNX networks
- Safety standards, local wiring rules and regulations
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING: RISK OF FATAL INJURY FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK. THE DEVICE CAN BE DAMAGED
Basic insulation to the retaining ring must always be ensured for SELV cables. Observe the following insulation stripping lengths and the instructions on laying cables. If only single-wire insulation is available, you must restore basic insulation by pulling an insulation sleeve or the bus cable sheathing over the individual wires.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
Product Overview
The KNX Multitouch Pro is a KNX control unit that allows you to control up to 32 room functions, such as light, blinds, or room temperature. A remote sensor can be connected to measure the room temperature. Power is supplied via the KNX bus.

Installation
Selecting the Installation Side
NOTICE: Functioning error due to direct sunlight. Direct sunlight on the device can prevent proximity from being detected in certain cases. Always place the device in areas with normal light conditions.
Installing an Individual Device
The device is mounted into a frame. The installation involves connecting the bus terminal and optionally a remote sensor.
Diagram Description: The diagrams show the device for System M and System D. Component labels A-F are provided. Installation steps include mounting into a frame with specific dimensions (15 mm and 5 mm clearances), connecting the bus terminal, and connecting the remote sensor.
Installing a Combination
When installing with 230 V devices (e.g., sockets), observe additional safety instructions regarding basic insulation for SELV cables, stripping lengths, and cable laying.
Optional: Installing a Remote Temperature Sensor
Installation Notes:
- Observe safety instructions on stripping lengths and cable laying.
- Select an installation site that allows the remote sensor to measure temperature freely.
- Route the remote sensor in an empty tube to the measurement input.
- For floor installation, use a sensor protection tube to prevent damage from tile cement or screed.
- The sensor line can be extended with a 2-core cable (1.5 mm²) or bell wire (<10 m).
- Screw tightening torque: max. 0.4 Nm.
Connections and Commissioning
- Refer to the provided diagrams for connection details.
- Notes on cleaning are provided.
- Commissioning information is available via a QR code (refer to product documentation for details).
