Intel LGA1700/1200/115X Installation

Step 1: Bracket and Backplate Preparation

The universal bracket is designed for Intel LGA1700/1200/115X and AMD AM4 sockets. Select the correct mounting position according to your processor socket type.

The Intel backplate is designed for LGA1700 and LGA1200/115X sockets. For LGA1700, push the screws to the outside of the backplate. For LGA1200/115X, push the screws to the inside.

Step 2: Mounting the Bracket

Diagram depicts attaching the universal bracket (3) to the backplate (4) using standoffs (5 or 6) and Intel screws (7). Note: Use standoff '5' for LGA1700 and standoff '6' for LGA1200/115X.

Put the backplate through the back of the motherboard. Attach the correct standoffs and then secure the universal bracket with the Intel screws.

Step 3: Apply Thermal Grease

Apply a thin layer of thermal grease to the CPU.

Step 4: Install Heatsink

Secure the heatsink with the tightening nuts.

Step 5: Attach Fan

Secure the fan to the heatsink with fan clips.

Step 6: Connect Fan Cable

Finish the installation by connecting the fan cable to the "CPU_FAN" header on the motherboard.

AMD AM5/AM4 Installation

Step 1: Prepare Motherboard

Remove the original AMD plastic retention frame, but keep the backplate.

Step 2: Mount Bracket and Standoffs

Install the standoffs and secure the bracket with AMD screws.

Step 3: Apply Thermal Grease

Apply a thin layer of thermal grease to the CPU.

Step 4: Install Heatsink

Secure the heatsink with the tightening nuts.

Step 5: Attach Fan

Secure the fan to the heatsink with fan clips.

Step 6: Connect Fan Cable

Finish the installation by connecting the fan cable to the "CPU_FAN" header on the motherboard.

Motherboard ARGB Sync (for ARGB edition only)

Secure the fan to the heatsink with fan clips. Connect the 4-pin fan power cable to the "CPU_FAN" connector.

For motherboard ARGB control: connect the fan's 3-pin ARGB cable to the 5V ARGB header on the motherboard.

Refer to motherboard ARGB headers:

• ASUS: ADD_HEADER
• MSI: JRAINBOW
• GIGABYTE: D_LED
• ASROCK: ADDR_LED

Then, download the correct software from the motherboard manufacturer's official website and use it to control the ARGB lighting.
