Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your thermostat, try these common solutions:
- Display is blank:
- Check the circuit breaker and reset if necessary.
- Ensure the power switch for your heating and cooling system is ON.
- Verify that the furnace door is securely closed.
- "Waiting for equipment" appears on the screen:
- This indicates the compressor protection feature is engaged. Wait approximately 5 minutes for the system to restart safely.
- Temperature settings do not change:
- If the display shows "unlock", the thermostat owner may have set a lockout setting.
- Verify you are in the correct mode (Heat, Cool, EM Heat, or Auto).
- If in the correct mode but unable to set heat between 32°F and 90°F (0°C to 32°C) or cool between 50°F and 99°F (10°C to 37°C), range-stops may be restricting your settings. Contact your installer to check if range-stops were configured.
Caution
Equipment damage hazard. To prevent possible compressor damage, do not operate the cooling system when the outdoor temperature is below 50°F (10°C).
