Easee Equalizer
User Guide and Installation Manual
Introduction
This manual applies to both versions of the product: Easee Equalizer (E02-EQP) and Easee Equalizer HAN (E02-EQ). All instructions apply to both versions unless otherwise stated.
Purpose
This product is designed to optimize power consumption by automatically balancing the load between the Easee Charger(s) and the building. It is used to prevent overloads and power interruptions during electric vehicle charging.
The product must only be operated within the approved operating parameters and under the specified environmental conditions (see page 45). Do not use the product if it is damaged or not functioning correctly. Any use other than that specified herein is not permitted.
Operating Conditions
The product must be coupled with a charger and connected to a compatible meter using the supplied cable. For the Equalizer to function, the communication port of the Smart Meter must be activated in most cases. The Equalizer supports multiple Smart Meters. A full list of compatible meters can be found at easee.support.
A smartphone with an internet connection is required for installation and operation.
Optimal Performance
The Equalizer enables smarter, safer, and faster charging when the installation is scaled accordingly. To unleash its full potential, the rated current of the circuit breaker for the charger should be as high as possible compared to the main fuse. Even for 1-phase installations, a 3-phase cable is recommended to make the installation future-proof.
