6.2 Requirements

The system can be upgraded from a previous version.

6.3 Important Points to Remember

Upgrade can be performed in the field only after successful experimental verification.
Please perform a database backup before upgrading the device.
Please do not power off the device, reset the system or remove any modules if a failure prompt appears.
After an upgrade to the new version, navigate to Eweb > Local > Home > Basics to verify the version information, including the software version number, SN and model. See Upgrade Procedure for details.

6.4 Upgrade Procedure

Connect the device with a PC and configure the PC with an IP address in network segment 10.44.77.10/255.255.255.0.
Power on the device. After the system LED turns solid on, open a browser, enter 10.44.77.200 into the address bar and press Enter.
Log into the system and complete wizard configuration.
Use the bin file for online upgrade.and click Upload. After an upgrade to the new version, verify the version information.
During the upgrade and downgrade, pay attention to the prompt messages. If failures occur, please save the log and contact Ruijie Networks for technical assistance.
During the upgrade and downgrade, it is recommended you not power off or reset the system, or plug/unplug any module.

Note: If you forgot your password, press and hold the Reset button for over 5 seconds, and the password will be reset to the default setting. Upon the next reboot, you can select restoration to either factory settings or the previous version.
