Assembly
Checking Delivery Content: Check the delivery immediately for transport damage and missing parts. Report any damage or missing parts to your dealer or the shipping company immediately.
Assembly Steps:
- Assemble the support wheel bracket on the basic frame using a bolt, washer, and cotter-pin.
- Assemble the wheels on the axle using wheel nuts, then attach the wheel caps.
- Fix the handles to the basic frame using screws, washers, and nuts.
- Assemble the unlock tilt function by removing the unlock knob and nut, inserting the wire into the bracket, and then fastening the nut and unlock knob.
- Hook the brake cable onto the brake lever and fix it with a screw. Connect the brake to both wheels by mounting the bolt on the right and left brake linkage and securing with a split pin and washer.
- Install fixing screws with compression springs and washers at six positions onto the tubular frame.
- Slide the frame left, right, and front into the tubular frame and fix with fixing screws.
- Position the tubular frame on the basic frame, aligning the boreholes. Secure the tubular frame to each borehole with a screw, washers, spring washer, and nut.
- Assemble the brackets to the rear of the battery box system using screws. Fix the battery box system and protector plate to the bore holes using screws, washers, and nuts.
- Insert the plug of the motor control unit into the socket on the underside of the battery box and secure with the lock nut.
- Insert the plugs of the drive unit into the respective matching socket on the underside of the battery box and secure with lock nuts.
- Fix the cable of the drive unit to the basic frame using a clamp, bracket, screws, washers, and nuts.
- Secure the orange cable of the drive unit to the protector plate with a cable tie and to the cross strut with a Velcro strap. Secure the cable of the motor control unit with a Velcro strap. Secure the brake cable with a cable tie.
Machine assembling completed.
Operation
Only operate the machine when it is in perfect condition. Before each operation, perform a visual inspection.
Operation Instructions:
- Unplug battery before all maintenance and settings.
- Never remove the battery while the machine is running.
- In case of longer standstill, press the shut-down button.
- Use the electric motor only with sufficient battery charge.
Starting Electrical Support:
- Turn the ON-Off-Switch to Position „I“ for the left battery cartridge or Position „II“ for the right battery cartridge. Only one battery cartridge can be activated at a time.
- Select the direction of motor rotation (forward/backward) by pressing the button. The selected direction is indicated by arrows.
- Press the button to activate BAS (Brake Assistance) / deactivate EBS (Electronic Brake).
- Adjust the strength of the electrical support by pushing the lever. The further the lever is turned from its initial position, the stronger the support.
- NOTE: If EBS is activated, there is no electric drive assistance in forward or reverse direction.
Machine Stopping/Parking:
- Select active battery cartridge.
- EBS deactivated / BAS activated: Brake manually using the mechanic brake lever, especially on slopes. If the machine is to remain in position for a longer period, bring it onto level ground and secure it against rolling away.
- EBS activated: The machine brakes automatically and holds its position on slopes up to 20%. If the machine is to remain in position for a longer period, bring it onto level ground and secure it against rolling away.
NOTE: Braking function EBS requires battery energy and is designed for short times only (max. 15 minutes).
Charger:
- Remove the battery from the battery box.
- Connect the charger to the power supply and the charging socket.
- When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger.
- The charging status is indicated by pressing the button on the display.
Voltage display on battery box system indicates the status of the battery:
- 40 V: Battery capacity 100%
- 35 V: Battery capacity ~50%
- < 32 V: Please charge the battery.
Notes for Charging:
- Avoid overheating; ensure sufficient air supply.
- Only charge the battery in an ambient temperature between 0° C and +40° C.
- Allow the battery to cool down after intensive use before recharging.
- Always charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
- FIRE HAZARD! Never charge batteries near acids and flammable materials. Do not smoke when charging. Keep the battery away from open flames and sparks.
- Allow the battery to cool down immediately after charging.
Cleaning, Maintenance, Storage, Disposal
Cleaning:
- Do not use solutions containing ingredients that damage metal surfaces or scrubbing agents.
- Clean the machine surface with a wet cloth soaked in a mild solution.
- Never use running water or a high-pressure cleaner.
- Clean outer parts with a damp sponge.
- Never clean electronic parts with water.
- Check the machine and remove deposits with a brush.
Maintenance:
- Clean your machine regularly after every usage.
- Repair jobs shall be performed by trained professionals only.
- Check regularly the condition of the security stickers and the machine.
- Store the machine in a closed, dry location.
Maintenance Plan:
- After each workshift: Check the cables (tight fit, damage).
- Monthly: Charge the battery (for longer periods of storage). Monthly check of the charge level.
Storage:
- Clean thoroughly all components before storage.
- Store all components separately in a dry area at not less than 0 ° C.
Important notes on storing the battery:
- If the machine will not be used for a longer period, disconnect and disassemble the battery. Charge the battery before storage.
- Store batteries at room temperature (approx. 20° C) in a dry and frost-proof place.
- Avoid large temperature fluctuations.
- Higher temperatures can lead to accelerated aging and premature loss of function.
- If the battery is not used for a longer period, check the charge level regularly (monthly, max. every 3 months). Recharge if necessary.
Disposal:
- Observe national waste disposal regulations.
- Never dispose of the machine or its components in the residual waste.
- Contact your local authorities for information regarding disposal options.
