How to Make Ice Cream
NOTE: Please thoroughly clean all parts that will contact ice cream before use (cooling bowl, loading bowl, mixing blade, discharge sealing ring, discharge inner cover, funnel, etc.). Ensure the power cord is disconnected before cleaning. Place the machine on a level surface for proper compressor operation.
Steps:
- Step 1: Pour well-prepared recipe ingredients into the loading bowl and mix uniformly. [Diagram: A line drawing showing ingredients being poured into a bowl.
- Step 2: Place the loading bowl into the ice cream machine and press it tightly. [Diagram: A line drawing showing the bowl being placed into the machine.
- Step 3: Install the mixing blade by aligning its inner opening with the loading bowl shaft. Fasten the transparent cover by rotating it counterclockwise. [Diagram: A line drawing showing the mixing blade being inserted and the cover being secured.
- Step 4: Plug in the power. Touch the ON/OFF button. The machine starts in the default soft ice cream mode. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase hardness, counterclockwise to decrease hardness, and press the knob again to start making ice cream. [Diagram: A line drawing showing the machine powered on and the knob being adjusted.
- Step 5: You can add favorite ingredients by opening the refill cover. [Diagram: A line drawing showing the refill cover being opened to add ingredients.
- Step 6: After operation is complete, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the machine, then pull out the loading bowl. [Diagram: A line drawing showing the bowl being removed from the machine.
- Step 7: Another common ice cream mode involves plugging in, pressing ON/OFF, then pressing the Soft and hard adjustment button twice, and finally pressing the knob to start. Other operations remain the same.
Operation
- Connect the power supply and plug the power cord into a suitable socket matching the indicated shape and voltage.
- Select control buttons. Refer to the control button and silk screen diagram for icon descriptions.
3. Procedure
a. Initial Setup: Plug in power. The display screen shows "--" and flashes. Press the [Ice cream mode] button. The default is [ice cream] mode, and the [ice cream mode, time] icon flashes with a tick (✔️). Press the [Power] button to return to the power-on state.
b. Mode Selection: Press the [Function selection] button to select modes: [Ice cream], [Refrigeration only], [Mixing only], and [Yogurt]. The icon of the selected mode flashes, while others remain off. The default time for the selected mode is displayed. Press the [Power] button to return to the power-on state.
c. Ice Cream Mode Types:
Hardness Mode:
- While in ice cream mode, press the [Hardness adjustment] icon. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase hardness (3 levels total), and counterclockwise to decrease. Press the knob again to start. The time starts from "00:00".
- When the hardness mode is paused, press the [Hardness adjustment] icon to adjust hardness. If the ice cream has reached Level 2, it can only be increased to Level 3 or an unfinished Level 2. Time is not adjustable.
Time Mode:
- While in ice cream mode, press the [Time adjustment] icon twice to select time mode. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase time (up to 90 minutes), and counterclockwise to decrease (minimum 5 minutes).
- Press the knob once to enter pause mode. While paused, rotate the knob to adjust time (increase clockwise, decrease counterclockwise). The adjustment method is the same as described above; hardness cannot be selected. Press the knob again to resume making ice cream.
D: [YOGURT] Mode: Features memory function. Factory setting is 8 hours ("08H"). The display shows the last adjusted production time (adjustment time in working state is not saved). Clockwise rotation increases time (up to 24 hours), counterclockwise decreases (minimum 4 hours).
E: [REFRIGERATION ONLY] Mode: Default time is 10 minutes ("10:00"). Increase time clockwise (max 60 minutes), decrease counterclockwise (min 5 minutes).
F: [MIXING ONLY] Mode: Default time is 30 minutes ("30:00"). Increase time clockwise (max 60 minutes), decrease counterclockwise (min 5 minutes).
G. Starting Production: After setting time or hardness, press the knob once to start. During production, time mode displays a countdown. Hardness mode shows a "running bar". Pressing the knob pauses the process; the mixing motor stops, and the time of pause is displayed. Press the knob again to resume. If no operation occurs within 3 minutes of pausing, the compressor stops, and the machine enters standby after 10 minutes with 3 short beeps. Hardness mode is not controlled by time, but by the set hardness level.
H. Post-Production (Insulation): After production completion, if no operation, the machine enters an insulation program. The display shows "Cool" and flashes the hardness bar. The machine stops for 5 minutes, then stirs for 15 seconds, and performs a hardness test. If Test Result 1 (hardness insufficient), it continues making ice cream. If Test Result 2 (hardness sufficient), it pauses for 5 minutes. This cycle repeats for up to 120 minutes.
- Test Result 1: Hardness less than selected. Program restarts, screen shows "COOL", hardness bar updates until selected hardness is reached, then pauses for 5 minutes.
- Test Result 2: Hardness is sufficient. Pauses for 5 minutes.
Power is restored after insulation.
4. Keep Cool Function:
To prevent ice cream from melting if not consumed immediately after production, the machine offers a "Keep Cool" function. After production completion and if no operation occurs, the holding time is 120 minutes. After 120 minutes, the machine enters standby mode, displaying "COOL" and the completed hardness bar.
5. Motor Self-Protection Function:
If the ice cream becomes harder and the mixing motor is at risk of being blocked, the motor protection device detects its temperature and stops the motor to ensure its longevity.
6. Controlling the Volume of Ingredients:
To avoid overflow and waste, ensure ingredients do not exceed 60% of the removable bowl's capacity, as ice cream expands during formation.

- Take out the removable bowl and clean it with a dampened soft cloth.
- Wipe the transparent lid and refill lid with a dampened cloth.
- Remove dirt from the body or other places with a dampened cloth. Do not pour water on the cord, plug, or ventilation, or immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Allow components to dry thoroughly with a dry cloth before returning them to their positions.
Common Problem & Solutions
No. | Exist Problem | Reason Analysis | Resolutions |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Not easy to take out loading bowl after the ice cream is finished | There are water drops between the cooling bowl and the loading bowl that are not wiped clean, resulting in freezing. | Wait 1-2 minutes before taking out the loading bowl. |
2 | The ice cream maker is not finished, but the stirring has stopped. | Normally, as the ice cream hardens, the mixing blade may be stuck, and the motor will be automatically protected when the temperature rises, thus cutting off the power supply of the motor. | Remove the loading bowl and restart after shutdown. |
3 | The transparent lid is lifted to the mixing blade, and it cannot be stuck in place. | The mixing blade is not in place, and pay attention to the alignment of the convex hull at the bottom. | Put the mixing blade in place and rotate the transparent cover in place. |
3 | The loading bowl cannot be placed in the cooling bowl. | Deformation caused by improper use of the loading bowl. | Buy a new loading bowl. |
4 | At the beginning of making ice cream, the mixing blade is seriously scratched or jammed. | Deformation caused by improper use of the loading bowl. | Buy a new loading bowl. |
