Momax SL3S Smart Bell

Introduction

The Momax SL3S is an IoT IP Camera Doorbell designed to enhance your home or office security. It provides instant motion detection alerts and allows for easy installation. When a visitor presses the doorbell, it rings wirelessly and sends notifications with video calls to your mobile app.

Quick Start Guide

1. Download 'MOMAX Smart' APP

   Download the 'MOMAX Smart' app from the iOS App Store, Android Google Play Store, or other available platforms.

2. Register

   Create an account and log in using your mobile number or email address.

3. Wireless Pairing

   Tap the '+' icon to add a device, then select 'MOMAX Smart IP Camera Doorbell'. Power on the device. Once you hear a prompt or the indicator light flashes, tap 'Confirm the indicator is flashing or a prompt tone is heard', then tap 'Next'. Align the device's QR code with the camera lens at a distance of 15-20 cm until you hear a prompt, then tap 'I Heard a Prompt' to proceed.

   Note: This product cannot be paired directly via the mobile phone's Bluetooth list. The pairing process may take up to 2 minutes.

4. Successfully Connected

   After successful connection, you can edit the name of the IP Camera.

Installation

Mode 1: Battery Supply

1. Fix the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided mounting screws.
2. Install the camera into the bracket and secure it with a screw.

Mode 2: AC Supply (Optional)

1. Prepare the necessary AC power supply accessories.
2. Connect the AC power supply to the bracket's metal contacts.
3. Install the camera into the bracket and secure it with a screw.

Warning: AC supply mode installation should be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper connection or repair may lead to electric leakage, malfunction, or other hazards.

The Smart Bell (SL3S) has the following components:

Main Unit:

• 1. Ambient Light Sensor: Detects ambient light levels for automatic adjustments.
• 2. Lens: The camera lens for capturing video footage.
• 3. Micro USB Port: Used for power or data connection.
• 4. PIR: Passive Infrared sensor for motion detection.
• 5. Microphone: Captures audio from the monitoring area.
• 6. Status Light: Indicates the operational status of the device.
• 7. Doorbell Button: The button for visitors to press.
• 8. SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage (up to 128GB).
• 9. Power: Power input or connection point.
• 10. Reset: Button to reset the device to factory settings (does not unbind from account).
• 11. External Power Port: For connecting an external power source.
• 12. Speaker: Outputs audio.

Chime Unit (Optional): The diagram also shows a separate chime unit with a speaker.

Functions

• Full-duplex Audio: When a visitor presses the doorbell, you receive a call and can see and hear them via the MOMAX Smart APP.
• Motion Detection: Built-in motion sensors detect movement and send push notifications and app alerts to your device.
• Shared Device: The doorbell can be shared with family and friends for online preview. There is no limit to the number of sharing devices, but only 6 accounts can preview simultaneously.
• Record: Supports 24-hour continuous recording via SD card or cloud storage (requires in-app setting).
• Night Vision: Automatically switches to night vision mode for clear operation in dark environments.
• Wireless Ring Chime (Optional): Connect the chime to a USB port. In the app's device settings, navigate to 'Bell Settings' and select 'Digital' for the Chime Type. Short press the reset button on the chime, then press the 'Bell Settings' and 'bind' button. You can customize ringtones and volume in the settings.

Warnings and Points for Attention

Please read this user manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

1. The operating temperature range for this camera is between -20°C and 50°C. Do not use the camera in environments with temperatures outside this range.
2. Ensure the camera is installed in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal.
3. Do not place the camera near objects that may affect its Wi-Fi signal, such as microwave ovens.
4. Under normal use, maintain a separation distance of at least 20 cm between the camera and the user's body.
5. AC supply mode installation must be done by a qualified electrician. Improper connection or repair can cause electric leakage, malfunction, or other hazards.
6. The device can only be unbound from an account via the MOMAX Smart app. Pressing the reset button on the device will not unbind it.

Service Agreement of Smart Mobile Application Platform

Please review the mobile app's content carefully before accepting the agreement. Understand all terms, especially restrictive clauses, exceptions, and the Privacy Notice. Contact the relevant business department for any doubts. Use of the service implies acceptance of all terms and rules. Breach of the agreement may result in service restriction, suspension, or termination by Tuya, and the company reserves the right to pursue relevant responsibilities.

Disposal of Electronic Products

1. Do not dispose of this product as household waste.
2. Dispose of discarded electronic products according to local regulations.
3. MOMAX encourages participation in electronic recycling programs.

Warranty Conditions

1. Momax offers free repair for defects caused by normal use within 12 months from the purchase date, at the company's discretion.
2. A valid warranty card and original purchase invoice are required for warranty service.
3. The warranty does not apply if: (a) the product is a consumable part, (b) it has been modified or repaired by unauthorized personnel, (c) it is damaged due to misuse, malicious acts, negligence, or liquid ingress, or (d) damages are caused by force majeure or natural disasters.
4. Alterations to the warranty card are not permitted.
