Product Safety

  • Do not touch the exposed power cord with hands.
  • Do not bring water to touch the power socket and power panel, which may cause danger.
  • When using this product on board, please ensure that the power supply lines and fuses have enough carrying current.
  • If the AC device is used in the car, RV and yacht, it needs to be installed by professional personnel.
  • Make sure the power connection is correct.
  • Do not immerse this product in water.
  • Do not put cans, beer, etc. into the refrigerator for low temperature freezing.
  • Do not place any electrical equipment in the refrigerator.
  • Only professional personnel are required for maintenance service, or please contact Costway's seller.
  • Do not expose the product to rain or strong sunlight for a long time.
  • After receiving and unpacking the refrigerator, please leave it standing for more than 3 hours before power on.

Precautions for Use

  1. When using the refrigerator, please place it in a well-ventilated place, which is conducive to heat dissipation. Especially, the gap between the cooling hole on the compression side and other objects must be greater than 100 mm (4"), so as to prevent high temperature from causing failure or affecting the refrigeration effect.
  2. Please do not open the door for a long time; the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the refrigerator will be too big and frosting will affect the refrigeration effect.
  3. Do not clean the refrigerator under tap water.
  4. Do not use the refrigerator near a heat source; it will reduce the refrigeration performance.
  5. Please use the refrigerator on a flat surface. Do not use it at a large angle for a long time. It may affect the service life of the refrigerator and reduce the refrigeration efficiency.

Precautions for Basic Use & Operation

Control Panel Overview

The control panel features buttons for TEMP UP (▲), DISPLAY, ON/OFF (⏻), TEMP DOWN (▼), CHILD LOCK (?), and SET (⚙️).

Temperature control range: -4°F to 50°F.

Standard voltage input range: DC12V/24V, maximum not exceeding DC30V.

1. Refrigerator Opening and Closing Operation

Connect the correct DC12 / 24 V power supply. If the refrigerator is in standby mode, the "OFF" symbol will be displayed in the middle of the display screen after the refrigerator completes the self-test. Long press the ON / OFF key for 3 seconds to start. After startup, the display screen will normally display the current temperature in the incubator, working mode and other characters. After a 1-minute startup delay (preset from the factory), the refrigerator works in the working mode, and the compressor starts to work for refrigeration. To turn off the refrigerator, press the ON / OFF key for 6 seconds while the keyboard is unlocked.

2. Refrigerator Keyboard Locking and Unlocking Operation

If the keyboard is locked (the child lock icon ? in the lower right corner of the display is on), press and hold the "up / down" key (▲/▼) for 6 seconds simultaneously to release the lock. If the child lock icon is not on and there is no operation for 30 seconds, it will automatically enter the keyboard lock state.

3. Refrigerator Temperature Setting Operation

When the keyboard is unlocked, press the "up / down" key (▲/▼) to adjust the temperature rise or fall of the refrigerator. Each press changes the temperature by 1 degree. Holding the key allows for quick adjustment. If there is no change within 5 seconds, the setting value will be saved automatically.

Advanced Settings

4. Compressor Working Mode Setting

When the keyboard is unlocked, press the "SET" key (⚙️) to freely switch the compressor working mode between "Eco" and "Max". For quick cooling to a lower temperature, switch to "Max" mode. For refrigeration or keeping warm, set to "Eco" mode to save energy and power.

5. Low Voltage Protection Function Setting

This product has a low voltage protection function. When it detects that the battery voltage is lower than the set value, it will automatically turn off the compressor to prevent over-discharge from damaging the battery or causing the car to be unable to start normally. At this time, the display screen will display "E1" code. If the voltage returns to normal, the refrigerator will automatically enter the working state one minute later. The factory default is "medium". To change this setting:

  1. Unlock keyboard.
  2. Long press the "SET" key (⚙️) for 6 seconds, release it after hearing the beep of the buzzer, and then short press the "SET" key.
  3. One of the battery protection level icons "L" (Low), "m" (Medium), "H" (High) on the display will flash. Press the "up / down" key (▲/▼) to change the setting.
Battery Protection Voltage Values

Med10.4V11.7V22.8V24.2V
High11.1V12.4V24.3V25.7V

Note: If the refrigerator enters battery protection prematurely, it is likely that the power supply voltage is insufficient or the low voltage protection value is set too high. Alternatively, the DC power supply wiring may not be suitable or provide enough current. Check the power supply wiring and consider appropriately lowering the battery protection gear.

To ensure the car can start normally, it is recommended to set the protection level at "H" when using the refrigerator in a vehicle.

6. Single and Double Temperature Zone Function

This product automatically identifies the temperature zone. Inserting the middle partition defaults to a double temperature zone, with the left zone as the freezing zone and the right zone as the refrigeration zone. The temperature of the freezing zone can be adjusted. Removing the diaphragm allows for use as a single temperature zone, with the temperature subject to the actual set value.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply. Wipe the inner and outer surfaces of the refrigerator with a cleaning cloth dipped in an appropriate amount of water or detergent. Do not wash directly with water to avoid damaging electrical components.
  • When the refrigerator is not used for a long time, clean the inside and outside, keep it dry, and take moisture-proof and dust-proof measures to avoid mildew and peculiar smells.

Error Code Description

When the compressor, module, fan, or temperature sensing head are abnormal, or the input voltage is too low, an error code will appear on the display screen, and the compressor will stop working. When the abnormality is eliminated, unplug the power supply and plug it in again to return to the temperature display in the box. The refrigeration mode of the compressor will start to work in 1 minute.

Frequently Asked Questions

If the product does not work properly:

  1. Check whether the power is on.
  2. Check whether the voltage is too low.
  3. Check all connections from battery to refrigerator for looseness or poor contact.
  4. Check the fuse.
  5. Check whether the refrigerator is turned on.
  6. Is the temperature set too high?

If the refrigeration performance is poor:

  1. Too much food is put in the refrigerator.
  2. The temperature of the food in the refrigerator is too high.
  3. The door is not closed properly.
  4. Whether the door seal (sealing ring) is damaged.
  5. Whether the ventilation around the refrigerator is good.
  6. The environment temperature is too high.
  7. Incorrect temperature setting.

Can hear the sound of "water flowing" in the refrigerator:

This is normal. It is caused by the flow of refrigerant.

When the refrigerator starts, the sound is loud:

  1. Is the refrigerator placed on a flat horizontal surface for use?
  2. Check the surrounding objects for vibration.
  3. At the moment of starting the compressor, when the motor runs from static to high speed, the sound will be a little louder. After the speed is stable, the sound will decrease, which is a normal phenomenon.

There are water drops around the shell or door seal:

It is normal for moisture in humid air to liquefy and condense water droplets when it comes into contact with a lower temperature shell.
