Features
Wireless keyboard

1. Power switch: Used to turn the keyboard on or off.
2. Battery-status light: Indicates the battery charge level.
3. Connection-mode lights: Indicate the active connection mode (e.g., USB receiver, Bluetooth 1, 2, or 3).
4. Connection-mode button: Used to switch between connection modes or initiate pairing.
5. Keyboard feet: Provide stability and tilt for the keyboard.
6. Battery-compartment cover: Covers the battery compartment.
7. PPID label (Piece Part Identification): Contains product identification information.
8. Power switch: This appears to be a duplicate label for the main power switch.
NOTE: Caps/Num lock LED Behavior: Both Caps Lock and Num Lock LEDs will illuminate for five seconds upon pressing, then turn off, even if the lock state remains active. The LEDs will re-illuminate for 5 seconds if the respective keys are pressed again. The lock state is also reflected in the On Screen Display (OSD) if Dell Peripheral Manager is installed.
Dell Peripheral Manager
Dell Peripheral Manager software allows you to:
- Assign program shortcuts to programmable buttons or keys via the Action tab.
- View device information, including firmware version and battery status, in the Info tab.
- Upgrade firmware on your devices.
- Pair additional devices using the radio frequency (RF) USB receiver or directly via Bluetooth.

Setting up your wireless keyboard
- Remove the battery-compartment cover. [Diagram: [up arrow] to remove cover]
- Install the AAA batteries into the battery compartment, observing correct polarity ([+] and [-]). [Diagram: Batteries being inserted into compartment]

NOTE: Ensure the distance between your computer and wireless keyboard is within ten meters.
Pairing your wireless keyboard
Your Dell wireless keyboard can be paired with devices using either the USB receiver or Bluetooth. You can pair and switch between a laptop, desktop, or any compatible mobile device.
Pairing your wireless keyboard with a USB receiver
NOTE: You can connect a device to your wireless keyboard using Dell Universal pairing.
- Connect the Dell Universal USB receiver to a USB port on your computer.
- The connection-mode light (indicator 18) on the wireless keyboard is set to Dell Universal Pairing by default.

NOTE: A USB Type-C to Type-A adapter (sold separately) is required if your computer does not support USB Type-A ports.
NOTE: The RF device is pre-paired in the factory.

Pairing your wireless keyboard using Bluetooth
NOTE: You can connect up to two devices with your wireless keyboard using Bluetooth.
NOTE: Before pairing via Bluetooth, unpair inactive devices on your computer and update the Bluetooth driver on your Dell computer to the latest version. For more information, see Drivers & Downloads at Dell.com/support.
- Press the connection-mode button a few times until the connection-mode light (indicator 2* BLE-2) turns on, indicating the second Bluetooth connection is selected.
- Press and hold the connection-mode button for 3 seconds to initiate pairing. The connection-mode light (indicator 2) blinks for 3 minutes, indicating the keyboard is in pairing mode. [Diagram: Close-up of button press with 3s timer]
Pairing with your Bluetooth-enabled computer:
Swift Pair:
- a. In Windows Search, type "Bluetooth".
- b. Click "Bluetooth and other devices settings". The Settings window appears.
- c. Ensure the "Show notifications to connect using Swift Pair" box is checked. [Visual description: Checkbox with text "When selected, you can connect to supported Bluetooth devices quickly when they're close by and in pairing mode."]
- d. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- e. Place your wireless keyboard near your computer. The "New Dell Keybd found" window appears.

Add Device:
- a. In Windows Search, type "Bluetooth".
- b. Click "Bluetooth and other devices settings". The Settings window appears.
- c. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- d. Click "Add Bluetooth or other device" > "Bluetooth".

NOTE: If "Dell Keybd" is not listed, ensure pairing mode is enabled on the wireless keyboard.
4. Confirm the pairing process on both the wireless keyboard and your computer. The connection-mode light (indicator 3) turns solid white for a few seconds to confirm pairing, then turns off. After successful pairing, the keyboard connects automatically when Bluetooth is enabled and both devices are within range. Pairing device three using Bluetooth
NOTE: You can connect a third device to your wireless keyboard using Bluetooth.

Troubleshooting
Unable to use the wireless keyboard
Possible solutions:
- Check battery insertion: Ensure battery [+] and [-] ends match the compartment label.
- Check battery level:
- If using a rechargeable battery, ensure it is fully charged.
- If the battery is exhausted, replace it with a new one.
- Turn the keyboard off and then on again. Check the battery-status light: flashing amber indicates low battery power; if fully depleted, the light will not turn on.
- Ensure the USB receiver is directly connected to the computer. Avoid port replicators or USB hubs.
- Change the USB port: Insert the USB receiver into another USB port.
- Update the Bluetooth driver on your computer:
- a. Open a web browser and download the latest Bluetooth drivers from Dell.com/support.
- b. Restart your computer.
Unable to pair the wireless keyboard to the computer using Bluetooth
Possible solutions:
- Check battery level:
- If using a rechargeable battery, ensure it is fully charged.
- If the battery is exhausted, replace it with a new one.
- Turn the keyboard off and then on again. Check the battery-status light: flashing amber indicates low battery power; if fully depleted, the light will not turn on.
- Restart your computer.
- Verify the operating system is Windows 11/10/8, Chrome, or Android.
- Ensure the wireless keyboard is set to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mode. Refer to your computer's documentation for details.
Wireless connection is lost
Possible solutions:
- Check battery level:
- If using a rechargeable battery, ensure it is fully charged.
- If the battery is exhausted, replace it with a new one.
- Turn the keyboard off and then on again. Check the battery-status light: flashing amber indicates low battery power; if fully depleted, the light will not turn on.
- Restart your computer.
- Ensure the USB receiver is connected directly to your computer. Avoid port replicators or USB hubs. Change the USB port if necessary.
