Getting Started
Welcome to your Fitbit Sense 2. This guide provides essential information to help you set up and use your new smartwatch.

What's Included
Your Fitbit Sense 2 box contains:
- Watch with a small band (color and material may vary)
- Charging cable
- Additional large band
Additional detachable bands are available for purchase separately in various colors and materials.
Charging Your Watch
A fully charged Fitbit Sense 2 offers over 6 days of battery life, though actual results may vary based on usage and other factors.
To charge your Sense 2:
- Connect the charging cable to a USB port on your computer, a certified USB wall charger, or another low-energy charging device.
- Align the pins on the charging cable with the port on the back of the watch and hold it near the port until it magnetically attaches.
Charging for 12 minutes provides approximately 24 hours of battery life. A full charge typically takes about 1-2 hours.
Setting Up Your Sense 2
Set up your Fitbit Sense 2 using the Fitbit app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. The Fitbit app is compatible with most popular smartphones. Check compatibility at fitbit.com/devices.
To begin:
- Download the Fitbit app from the Apple App Store (for iPhones) or the Google Play Store (for Android phones).
- Install and open the app.
- Tap 'Sign in with Google' and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.

Viewing Your Data
Open the Fitbit app on your phone to view your health metrics, activity, and sleep data. You can also choose workouts or mindfulness sessions.
Fitbit Premium
Fitbit Premium offers personalized resources within the Fitbit app to help you stay active, improve sleep, and manage stress. A Premium subscription includes tailored programs, personalized insights, hundreds of workouts, guided meditations, and more.

Wearing Your Sense 2
Wear your Fitbit Sense 2 on your wrist. For instructions on changing the band, refer to "Change the band" on page 14.
Placement for All-Day Wear vs. Exercise
For all-day wear, position the Sense 2 about a finger's width above your wrist bone.
It is recommended to give your wrist a break by removing the watch for about an hour after extended wear, especially after showering. While you can shower with the watch, not doing so minimizes potential exposure to soaps and shampoos that could damage the device or cause skin irritation.
For optimal heart-rate tracking during exercise:
- Adjust the band higher on your wrist for a snugger fit during workouts.
- If you experience discomfort, loosen the band. If discomfort persists, remove the watch for a period.
Ensure the back of the device makes contact with your skin, and wear the watch on top of your wrist.
Fastening the Band
- Place the Sense 2 around your wrist.
- Slide the bottom band through the first loop of the top band.
- Tighten the band for a comfortable fit and secure the peg through one of the band's holes. If using the last two holes on the smaller band, consider using the larger band for a more secure fit.
