Banner Sure Cross® DXM700-B1 and DXM700-B2 Wireless Controllers

This document provides technical specifications and an overview of the Banner Sure Cross® DXM700-B1 and DXM700-B2 Wireless Controllers.

Overview

The DXM700-Bx Wireless Controllers are designed for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. They function as communication gateways, connecting local serial ports, local I/O, and local ISM radio devices to the internet via cellular or wired Ethernet connections. These controllers offer high-performance wireless communication, flexible customization, and robust connectivity options.

DXM700-Bx System Overview

The Banner DXM logic controller integrates Banner wireless radios, cellular connectivity, and local I/O to provide a platform for IIoT. The system comprises I/O, Connectivity, Logic Controller, and User Interface components.

Visual Description: A block diagram shows four main sections: I/O (Discrete Outputs), Connectivity, Logic Controller, and User Interface. I/O has four discrete PNP outputs. Connectivity includes Sure Cross® radio, Ethernet, USB, RS-485 Master, and RS-485 Slave. The Logic Controller manages Operating Rules, ScriptBasic, Scheduler, Cloud Push, Data Logging, Email, and Local Registers. The User Interface consists of an LCD screen and LED indicators.

Outputs: Four discrete PNP outputs (power voltage <2V, max current 100mA at 30V DC).

Connectivity: Offers wired and wireless options. Cellular modem options enable remote device connection to IIoT cloud services without IT infrastructure. Integrated Sure Cross® radios provide Modbus communication with remote sensors and devices.

Logic Controller Features

Programmed using operating rules and/or ScriptBasic for concurrent execution. Offers flexible custom monitoring and control sequences. Supports Modbus protocol for seamless integration with automation systems. Includes file and LCD password protection.
