Overview
This USB 3.0 to fiber optic converter enables users to leverage the USB 3.0 (Type-A) port on their laptop or tablet to establish a secure fiber network connection. Compatible with Windows® and Mac, the network adapter provides an optical Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) connection for laptops or tablets, or systems lacking expansion slots.
The open SFP slot allows for the use of a preferred SFP transceiver module to meet specific network needs, supporting various wavelengths, distances, and connection types for an effective network solution. (SFP sold separately.)
It offers reliable fiber connectivity while protecting the network from electronic interference issues common in copper Ethernet networks. Fiber to the Desktop (FTTD) enhances network security by reducing the risk of data leakage for sensitive information, without compromising network speed and reliability.
