Camera Overview

Components

The Polaroid I-2 camera features numerous components:

Menu Navigation

Use the Selection Dial (J) and Mode-OK Button (M) to navigate camera menus.

The camera has a menu navigation system with options like Auto mode, Aperture priority, Shutter priority, Multiple exposure, Manual mode, and Self-timer.

Displays

The camera has both an Outer Display (L) and an Inner Display:

Outer Display Indicators:

Inner Display Indicators:

The inner display shows similar information, including focus distance, exposure meter, and AE-Lock status.

Advanced Features

Focus Distance

Aim the center of the autofocus frame at your subject. Half-pressing the shutter button displays the focus/subject distance on the inner and outer displays.

The viewfinder represents a photo framed at infinity (∞). For subjects closer than 8 meters, center your subject, lock focus, and adjust framing.

Focus - Exposure Lock

Half-pressing the shutter button locks both exposure and focus on the subject. For off-center subjects, keep the button half-pressed, re-aim the autofocus frame, and then shoot.

Exposure Meter

In Manual mode, the exposure meter helps achieve the correct exposure (indicated by '0').

In other modes, the camera auto-selects exposure, but EV compensation will be reflected on the displays.

Subject Framing

Ensure your subject is centered within the frame by locking focus and adjusting framing, especially for subjects closer than 8m.

Polaroid App

While the Polaroid I-2 works as a standalone camera, the Polaroid App offers additional features and greater control over your photography. Download it from the [App Store] or [Google Play].
