Some Tips Before Everything
- If you observe a red flash when you take photos, please turn the switch from "TEST" to "ON".
- After turning the switch from "TEST" to "ON", you will observe a countdown from 15s to 1s, then the screen will shut down. This is completely normal. You can walk in front of the camera to check if it takes photos and videos.
- Do not submerge the camera in water.
- The camera can work under 160°F, but please keep the camera far enough from fire to protect batteries.
- Alkaline batteries are recommended as they provide strong and stable power to the camera.
- Please do not mix old and new batteries.
- If a DC 9V power adapter is used, ensure there are no batteries in the camera to prevent overcharging.

- Press the EJECT button; the battery box will pop out.
- Insert AA batteries, observing the positive (+) and negative (-) battery icons for correct orientation.
- Slide the battery compartment back into the camera housing until it is completely engaged.
NOTE: Installing AA batteries in the wrong direction may cause leakage, explosion, camera failure, and damage to the battery compartment.
If Using 9V DC Power Source
- Remove the rubber port cap at the bottom of the camera.
- Using a universal 9V DC cord, plug it into the bottom port.
- When not in use, replace the rubber port cap to protect the 9V DC universal plug-in port.
Memory Card Installation

Camera Operation and Troubleshooting
Camera to ON Mode
Once all settings are complete, slide the switch to "ON" mode. After a 5-second red flash, the camera will begin operating.
Cautions: The camera display and control panel are inactive in "ON" mode. To preview images, slide the switch back to "TEST" mode.
Troubleshooting
Camera Doesn't Capture Subject of Interest
- Check PIR sensitivity. For warm conditions, set to "Low"; for cold weather, set to "High".
- Position the camera in an area free from heat sources within its field of view.
- Avoid placing the camera near water, as this may result in images with no subjects.
- Aim the camera towards the ground if necessary.
- Mount the camera on stable, immovable objects like large trees.
- At night, the motion detector might exceed the IR illumination range. Adjust sensor sensitivity or distance settings.
- Rising sun or sunset can trigger the sensor; reorient the camera if needed.
- If subjects move quickly, they might leave the camera's field of view before a photo is taken. Move the camera further back or redirect it.
Camera Stop Taking Images
- Ensure the memory card has sufficient storage. The camera stops taking images when the card is full.
- Verify that the batteries (alkaline, NiMH, or lithium AA) have enough power.
- Confirm the camera power switch is in the "On" position, not "Off" or "Test".
- Format the memory card before first use or when switching to a new card.
Night Vision Flash Range Doesn't Meet Expectation
- Using 4 AA batteries may not support night vision. Install 8 AA batteries for better performance and battery life.
- Ensure batteries are fully charged or have sufficient remaining power.
- High-quality 1.5V NiMH or Lithium rechargeable AA batteries offer better infrared flash range than alkaline batteries.
- For optimal night image quality, mount the camera in a dark environment without obvious light sources.
- Surroundings like trees, walls, or ground can help reflect IR flash for better night images. Avoid aiming the camera into an open field with nothing to reflect the flash, similar to shining a flashlight into the sky.
