This document provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Gorenje GI6432BSCE induction hob.

- In case of cracked surface, switch off the appliance immediately to avoid electric shock.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects for cleaning.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the appliance.

The control panel includes:

Operating Instructions
Touch Control Operation:
- Use the tip of your finger, not the fingertip, to operate the controls.
- Controls are touch-sensitive; no pressure is required.
- Each touch is accompanied by a beep.
- Keep the control surfaces clean and dry. Do not place objects on them.
Cookware Selection:
- Use only cookware suitable for induction hobs. Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or the base of the pot.
- Test cookware by placing a magnet on the base; if it attracts, the cookware is suitable.
- Avoid cookware with rough edges or uneven bases.
- Ensure the base of the cookware is flat and matches the size of the cooking zone.
- Lift cookware from the hob; do not slide it, as this can scratch the glass.
- Minimum diameter for cookware is 140 mm for most zones; smaller cookware may not be detected.
Cooking Zones:
The cooking zones automatically adjust to the diameter of the cookware within certain limits.

Starting Cooking:
- Touch the ON/OFF button. The hob is now in standby mode.
- Place suitable cookware on the desired cooking zone. Ensure the base is clean and dry.
- Each zone has an independent slider for power level adjustment and a timer.
- Adjust the heat by touching the slider. If no power level is selected within 20 seconds, the hob will switch off automatically.
Indicator Lights:
- If the display flashes alternately with a symbol and power level, it means:
- The cookware is not on the correct zone.
- The cookware is not suitable for induction.
- The cookware is too small or not centered correctly.
Finishing Cooking:
- Slide the control for the desired zone to the left until '0' is displayed. The hob will switch off after 3 seconds.
- Turn off the entire hob by touching the ON/OFF button.
Hot Surface Indicator:
The 'H' symbol indicates a hot cooking zone. It disappears when the surface has cooled to a safe temperature.
Boost Function:
- To activate Boost, touch the 'P' symbol. The display will show 'Marquee' and the maximum power level.
- To deactivate Boost, touch the slider at any point. The display will show the selected power level.
- The Boost function automatically switches off after 10 minutes.
Flex Induction Area:
This area can operate as one large zone or two separate zones. Ensure cookware is placed correctly for optimal performance.
Child Lock
- To activate, press and hold the child lock symbol. The display will show 'Lo'.
- To deactivate, press and hold the child lock symbol again.
Timer Function
- Use the timer buttons to set the cooking time for each zone.
- Pressing the button briefly adds/subtracts 1 minute; holding it adds/subtracts 10 minutes.
- The maximum timer setting is 8 hours.
- To cancel the timer, press and hold both the plus and minus buttons.
Pause Function
- Touch the 'II' symbol to pause cooking. The power level will be set to level 2, and only the 'II' and 'I' controls will be active.
- Touch the 'II' symbol again to resume cooking.
Moving Cookware Function
This function allows you to move cookware between zones while maintaining the same power setting. Refer to the manual for activation and usage details.

The hob has an automatic shut-off feature. The table below shows the default operating times for each power level:

If cookware is removed, the hob will stop heating and switch off automatically after 1 minute.
Energy Management Function
This function allows you to set the maximum power consumption of the hob. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions on how to activate and adjust this feature.

Cooking Tips:
- Reduce heat if food boils over.
- Using a lid shortens cooking time and saves energy.
- Reduce liquid or fat for shorter cooking times.
- Start cooking at a high setting and reduce as needed.
Steaming and Rice Cooking:
Simmering at temperatures below boiling point (approx. 85°C) is ideal for delicate flavors. Use this method for sauces as well.
Steak Cooking:
- Let meat rest at room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking.
- Heat a heavy-based pan.
- Lightly oil the steak on both sides.
- Sear the steak for 2-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
- Rest the steak on a warm plate before serving.
Wok Cooking:
- Use a wok or large pan suitable for induction.
- Prepare all ingredients beforehand.
- Heat the pan and add oil.
- Sear meat, then set aside.
- Stir-fry vegetables until crisp-tender.
- Return meat to the pan and add sauce.
- Stir gently to heat through.
- Serve immediately.
Power Levels
The power levels are a guide; adjust according to your cookware and ingredients.

Installation
Choosing Installation Location:
- Cut the worktop according to the dimensions provided.
- Ensure at least 5 cm of free space around the cutout.
- The worktop must be at least 3 mm thick.
- Use heat-resistant and insulated materials for the worktop.
- Ensure adequate ventilation for the hob.
- Maintain a minimum clearance of 650 mm between the hob and overhead cabinets.
- Wall surfaces around the hob should be heat-resistant and easy to clean.
Installing the Hob:
- Ensure the worktop is flat and level.
- The worktop material must be heat-resistant and insulated.
- If installing above an oven, ensure the oven has a cooling fan.
- Installation must comply with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- A suitable isolating switch must be installed in the fixed wiring.
- Ensure the power cord is not damaged and is routed safely.
- The underside of the hob and the power cord should not be accessible after installation.
Removing the Hob:
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Use a suitable tool to remove the silicone sealant around the hob's edge.
- Push the appliance up from below to remove it.
- Warning: Do not attempt to remove the appliance from the top.
Mounting Brackets:
Use the provided mounting brackets to secure the hob to the worktop. Adjust the brackets to the thickness of the worktop.
Connecting to the Electrical Network
Installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Ensure the household electrical system matches the hob's power requirements and voltage.
- Do not use adapters, distributors, or extension cords.
- Ensure the power cord does not come into contact with hot parts.
Troubleshooting

Error Codes:
- E1, E2, E7: Temperature sensor malfunction. Contact supplier.
- E3, E4: IGBT temperature sensor malfunction. Contact supplier.
- EU: Display panel or control panel communication error. Contact supplier.
- EL / EH: Abnormal power supply. Check power supply.
- C1: Glass-ceramic temperature sensor indicates too high temperature. Restart after cooling.
- C2: IGBT temperature sensor indicates too high temperature. Restart after cooling.
- F5: Fan malfunction. Contact supplier.
- EF: Multiple buttons active for an extended period. Clean control surface.
Disposal and Recycling
Dispose of this product in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste. Do not dispose of with household waste.
